I've created us all another thread as we filled the last one!

@mommybear05 I had no idea how long I'd feed for. I never thought I'm definitely going to bf, once he was born though, all I wanted was to get bf right. Every time he woke in the hospital i buzzed for the midwives to check we had got the latch right.

He's already asked more today than he did yesterday and has been difficult to distract!

Hi @Jonsey1987 sorry for your loss xx my period returned 4 weeks after I had surgery if you miscarried naturally I think it can take a little bit longer from what I've seen for AF to come back. If you can face it would probs be a good idea to do another test though to be sure , never know 🤞 xx

SmileyT · 18/04/2020 08:05

@MrsLBear yeah I did understand they were short staffed and said they didn't expect to have any sonographers in that week, but having been in A&E from 7am and knowing something was wrong it was worth the 2hr round trip to the private clinic and luckily when I went back in they managed to find 2 Drs in a hospital that know how to scan a uterus 🙄 Its actually nice to hear that others had a better experience. I'm sorry for your loss too, as you've been trying for 12months have you had any conversations with your GP about anything they can suggest? Xx

Hayleylou89 · 18/04/2020 07:55

@Jonsey1987 hey lovely sorry u find urself here, i had a 22.5 week loss in feb and it took exactly 6 weeks after she was born for my first AF to appear, i thought it might have taken longer with it being over half the term of pregnancy but it never took too long. Xx

MrsLBear · 18/04/2020 07:51

Hi @donnat89
Sorry for your loss and how you've been feeling.
My situation sounds very similar to yours. I had a mmc feb last year and have been trying since I counted the other day this is my 12th cycle since. It's exhausting. And I feel like since the lock down I'm not distracted enough so it's driving me more mad than ever.
Fx for you today! Let us know how you get on!!

I'm cd12 and will start using the cb digital opks today as my cycle varies from 30-41 days. Didn't want to start sooner as they are so expensive!

So so sorry for your loss @SmileyT. That's horrible having to go private then go back again. What if you couldn't afford to go private. I suppose with covid19 situations might have been different but doesn't mean what you went through wasn't real or bad enough. I must say I couldn't fault the care I had. Went in on the Tuesday evening had a scan within the hour and then had the operation on the Thursday.

VP91x · 18/04/2020 07:49

Hi @Jonsey1987 sorry that you find yourself here too 😕

My period took 8 weeks to come back but this probably took so long because I had some retained tissue which took a couple of weeks to sort out so that prolonged everything unfortunately. I think it is definitely worth taking another test because if she said that you were looking likr you might ovulate then there is always the possibility?

Xx

SmileyT · 18/04/2020 06:07

@Jonsey1987 sorry you find yourself here but hope you find this thread a safe place to talk. My MMC was found at an early scan at 9.5weeks in March I'm now CD31(counting surgery as CD1) and my apps are saying I should expect AF anytime between now and Tuesday but like you I have no idea what will happen.

It's interesting to hear how different hospitals handle the situation, I was given no follow up at all, they didn't even want to scan me so I had to go private to confirm the MC and then go back to them for the procedure, probably didn't help it was just as covid-19 was ramping up in London. Did they resolve the concerns over the mass in your tube?

How long were your cycles before the MC? Hopefully you get a nice surprise if you take another test or if AF arrives at least you can reset xx

Mommybear05 · 17/04/2020 23:18

@Jonsey1987 hello (again) and great to see you’ve found the board although I wish your circumstances meant you didn’t need to be here! My cycle after mc was 31 Days and af just got me this week. I think it’s different for everyone! I hope you see signs soon and your body is getting back to normal, either that or you get a nice surprise:)

@Minibow hello and welcome to the board. Sorry for your loss. 18 months ttc must have been tough. It’s nice to have kids already of course but i know what it’s like when you are longing to give them a sibling. I hope you get good news soon xx

Jonsey1987 · 17/04/2020 22:36

@minibow it doesn't help as we're in lock down and if your anything like me overthinking things. I don't feel like I have closure. I was 6 +5 when I miscarried and I was very lucky as I was tracked for 2 weeks by the hospital. (as they found a mass in my tube) I was discharged when we went into lock down - my hcg was 31 but scans showed I'd 'reset' and back to normal and they saw my lining was just like after a period. They also saw a follicle on my ovary and the lady said I was about to ovulate. It seemed so straight forward but now I'm 4 more weeks down the line and are clearly not okay.
We have to give ourselves time (easier said than done) x x

Donnat89 · 17/04/2020 22:33

@Minibow yes I feel like the next few months will be hard for me until I sort of get over this hump again . It's not a nice feeling .

My backache is bad tonight and am having cramps on and off too so certain AF is on her way again .

🙁 xxx

Minibow · 17/04/2020 22:25

I'm with you on wishing you could switch it off. I was.in.a very bad place the months before I got pregnant last year.
I can feeling creeping up again.

@Jonsey1987 I was 8 weeks after my MMC last year xx

Donnat89 · 17/04/2020 22:24

@Jonsey1987 mine took about 5/6 weeks to come ... it can take a couple months for your body to get back to normal so don't be disheartened. Always good to take a test just in case though .

Fingers crossed for you x

Jonsey1987 · 17/04/2020 22:03

Evening guys, I've been signposted here from another group by @Rainbowhope11.

I had a miscarriage almost 6 weeks ago and still haven't had a period. (and there's no sign of it this weekend either) How long did it take to get one? I'm in limbo as to whether I might be pregnant again (I don't think this is the case) or my body is broken! I think I'm going to pluck up the courage to take another test. I did an early test (10mul) Monday which is when I expected to get a period and negative.

Donnat89 · 17/04/2020 21:19

@SmileyT haha yes my OH is the same he's not bothered and yes looks forward to it too !

Yes having children doesn't make TTC any easier if any thing it makes it more frustrating as it's like why isn't it just happening !

I'm not expecting a BFP this month I just have that feeling plus I have my usual AF back ache too so I'm preparing for a BFN which is why I'm so down I'm sort of dealing with another month over I suppose .

@Renna I'm defo going to look into it , I've been more relaxed this month but last few days I feel like I'm going crazy again and I wish I could just stop feeling like this ! But I just can't switch off

@Minibow I know how you feel , at our first scan is when we found out all wasn't well and had 4 weeks of hell until I had my miscarriage, I have been told when we do conceive again I will get a scan at 8 weeks then 11 weeks , but il still be so anxious .

I'm so hoping for a goods nights sleep tonight ! X

Renna · 17/04/2020 21:10

@Minibow ah sorry just seen your other message came through since I was typing that that AF came late x x what a way to mess with your emotions 😓 not fair xxx

Renna · 17/04/2020 21:08

@Donnat89 yeah I'd like to get back to the acupuncture once lock down is done, its had good results with people not only conceiving but also once pregnant. I think I'd need it if I fell pregnant again to help mentally too as I'd be so worried right up until the first scan as this is when I found out there was no heart beat.

Hi @minibow xx sorry for your loss xx lovely you have 2 kiddies already but I can only imagine this doesnt make it any easier going through a loss and TTC since xx did you feel like u needed a break from these threads ? 3 days late ? Is that AF ? Xx wishing you lots of luck .. you've conceived before so I'm sure you'll get there again one day hun xx

Minibow · 17/04/2020 21:04

@SmileyT AF came but 4 days late. MMC was 4th pregnancy and I have 2 children xx

SmileyT · 17/04/2020 20:56

@Donnat89 oh yeah I bet they are running you ragged. My brother has a 7 and a 9yo both boys and him and his partner are in a 2 bed flat in central London, he is losing his mind. Both of them trying to wfh while home schooling, but I can completely appreciate having other children doesn't make the TTC journey any easier.

Im really impressed you haven't got sick of DTD, me and DP are normally 3 or 4 times a week kinda couple and even after 1 fertile week I feel like my mindset has shifted a bit because I was so obsessed with TTC. Definitely think that being a bit more relaxed about it is better for overall relationships though, between opks, temp checking and logging every symptom it made it harder to feel fun. Luckily DP doesn't get any performance anxiety and was more excited about O day then I was 😂I'm really hoping that you get your BFP on Sunday🤞

@Minibow sorry for your loss... are you trying for no1? Have you taken a test or you going to wait a bit? Xx

Minibow · 17/04/2020 20:49

Hello all,

Can I join. Haven't been on these pages in over a year.
18 months of TTC resulted in a MMC last July.

Was awful but I thought I was okish. I have 2 children already and have been convincing myself I'm doing well and will be ok if I can't have another.

Three days late this month and the feelings of desperation are back with avengence. I hate the world.

Donnat89 · 17/04/2020 20:44

@Hayleylou89 yea you are right I do generally know my cycle well apart from when it decides to change ! What OPKS do you use ? X

Hayleylou89 · 17/04/2020 20:42

@Donnat89 yeah the opks can get addictive and annoying ... i was going crazy last month but that was cos it was my first full month and wanted to make sure i caught my surge ... next month i plan to start about 5 days before my app predicts ovulation and thats it, if u think u know ur cycle you shouldnt have to test that much, mine are 35-38 day cycles and last month i was testing for about 2 weeks before predicted ovulation and it drove me insane but now i know when to expect it i wont be as regimented next month xx def try it next month it might give u that edge u need to crack the baby code 🙏 x

Donnat89 · 17/04/2020 20:28

@Hayleylou89 thank you and so sorry for your loss too , and so far gone must have been so hard

I don't use OPKS I feel like I obsess so much about TTC that I worry this might be something else I obsess with . I may try them next cycle though and see how I get on .

Yes it can be difficult but we both enjoy it so it's not too bad ! My cycles are pretty regular except for last Month I was 4 days late which really messed with me but usually bang on 27 days

I think though trying OPKS might be the last thing I need to try ! X

Hayleylou89 · 17/04/2020 20:24

Hi @Donnat89 welcome to the thread sorry you find urself here and atlfter sucha. Long haul ttc it must be tough im only on my second cycle (first normal) since my loss at almost 23 weeks pregnant in feb and so scared it wont happen again like it did first time round. I notice u havnt mention that you use opks, would you consider these ? As this will help pin point ovulation rather than needing to dtd every other day that may be a little overkill especially over a long period of time? Opks are really good to track down ur most Fertile time x sorry if uv mentioned that u do use these x

Donnat89 · 17/04/2020 20:11

@SmileyT they are 7 and 10 so yes keeping me busy plus I'm working from home too so plenty to occupy myself with but doesn't seem to be helping

I feel a little better now after a nice bath , I've not been sleeping very well either last few days so may be way I feel crappy !

@Renna yes I've tried that and didn't help us although we haven't regularly used
It , so may have to try that again . I hadn't really thought about acupuncture so after
Lockdown I shall look into this .

Your right though it's just a time thing and unfortunately it's just taking longer for us , I've just got to keep going I suppose it just seems to get harder and harder every cycle to keep positive xxx

Renna · 17/04/2020 19:49

@Donnat89 welcome xx so sorry for your loss and how you are feeling xx I really really hope you get some good news soon xx have you tried things like conceive plus lubricant ? This worked for me first time I used it. Or would you consider trying acupuncture? I went for a session after MC before lockdown I was going to keep up the sessions. You've probably looked into lots of things! But just things I've looked into and have worked for me in the past xx sending virtual hugs xx

VP91x · 17/04/2020 19:38

@SmileyT likewise I am hoping that someone gets a BFP too! Xx
