3dpo and looking for TTC friends

Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

@Sammyclaire22 well no idea wtf is going on still. One wipe of brown today (not a lot at all), no need for a pad or anything but no period. Definitely got period symptoms, absolutely wiped out and boobs are sore. Took a FRER and negative so who bloody knows what’s going on. I doubt this is implantation bleeding because it doesn’t normally last this long I don’t think. It’s like a backwards period because it’s getting lighter, not heavier!

Hopefully it’ll stop before Sunday when AF is due so my cycle will actually be normal again by the time AF comes.

Any symptoms for you two ladies?

IB can be either I think- generally it's classed as light bleeding or spotting that only lasts a day or so around when AF is due. I had fresh bleeds when i was pregnant too (some were heavy) so can be anything until you know what the cause is.
If you have symptoms of an infection then it might well be that though, but fc it's not!

@mrsmummy111 it was brown. Not red or pink at all. I normally get one or two days of brown before my period starts properly so I was full expecting it to get heavier so it’s super odd that it’s stopped completely. I’m trying not to get my hopes up and remain logical. I think I’ll allow myself to get a little excited tomorrow if AF doesn’t kick in and today was just a fluke!

Was it fresh blood or more like old blood? As that may help you work it out. As far as I know (@Sammyclaire22 correct me if I'm wrong) but implantation bleeding isn't normally brown isnt it? Eeeee weirdly exciting for you as it could mean something!

Hi ladies

How are you today? Update: been given antibiotics for an infection (small dose this time) and the bleeding has stopped. Don’t know if it’s a coincidence because I’ve only taken one pill. Will have to see.

Bit wary of taking antibiotics if it was implantation bleeding but they’re pregnancy safe and I couldn’t carry on as I was.

Haha no worries... From what I remember it was just some brown staining in my pants or when i wiped for a day or so. I also had darker nipples and sore boobs. It was the first time I ever bought a frer as I'd had my ectopic the month before after 12m of ttc so my head was all over the place. I was sure I was pg, but looking back I can't believe how lucky I was- I've been sure so many times this time round and it's been a dud lol.
I would be surprised if it was AF, but there can be other causes for spotting mid cycle apparently. I have cervical erosion so used to get it after sex sometimes, or some yeast infections can cause it or you can get a random oestrogen surge apparently too.

But if you feel normal down there and spotting isn't normal for you then it might be a sign, especially if it only lasted the day. Only time will tell but fc for you!

@Sammyclaire22 that’s wild!!!! I honestly thought it was a complete myth. If you don’t mind me asking (feel free to say no) but what did the bleeding look like? Mines stopped, for now. I’m 7dpo.

My DP and I went for a really long walk and I had a really good cry so I feel better no matter the outcome. I’m hoping it’s not my period purely from the progesterone stand point! My cycles have lengthened dramatically before this one so I’m annoyed it’s all topsy turvy. I just think I’m not going to be one of the lucky ones for it to be IB and not period.

I had implantation bleeding with my dd! It's totally possible- I had it start 9dpo and bfp 10dpo. Although this time round ttc I've had spotting end of my cycle at 10dpo which screws with my brain each time. Probably low progesterone i guess.
I've had spotting 3dpo this month so no idea what that's about!

Glad you are feeling a bit better @mrsmummy111 it's a long old journey and has lots of ups and downs but it's worth it in the end.

I agree, go to an NHS GP as 7 days early is pretty early - and like you said, you know your cycle and your body and you know it doesn't feel right. Trust your instincts for sure! Hope you feel better soon Thanks

I had watery discharge that was so off in every way 👃 the whole of this week. It’s gotten better as I used cannesten cream, vagisil wash and no underwear. It’s just sensitive now and is clearly irritated. I finished the antibiotics which cleared up the last one. Bleeding has pretty much stopped now but AF stops and starts for me anyway in the first couple of days.

Yeah I’m CD21 so I’d be 7 days early (only 7dpo) if it is AF. I’m so confused so I’m going to have to ride it out.
If the bleeding gets worse this week I’ll go to an NHS GP as my private telephone one is so not helpful. They basically make me feel like I’m going mad or I’m making it up but I do know my body really well and know when something is up. After 29 years, my intimate relationship with my vagina is a strong one 😂😂😂😂

Thank you for your kind words, I'm feeling a lot better today and guess it's time for me to return the favour!

In terms of the bleeding - do you feel odd down there in any other way? What makes you think it could be an infection? Did you finish your course of antibiotics that the doc gave you before?
I must admit I'm also sceptical of implantation bleeding as I've never met anyone it's actually happened to. That being said, i can only assume it does happen, regardless of how rare it might be. It'll be the worst few days ever, but the only thing that'll give you answers is time. If AF has come early, at least it means you can get moving again quicker. What CD are you on now? 21/22? That is an awfully short cycle compared to your normal (which I'm sure you said was closer to 27-29ish?) Sending you virtual hugs 🤗

@BelleDell I’m dubious about the validity of implantation bleeding. Nobody I know has ever had it. I’ve been pregnant before many moons ago (this is baby #1 for me though) and I never had it then. For me personally, it just gets my hopes up.
I’m more concerned that something is up and that my period is early! I’ve had some odd stuff going on down there.
I guess I’ll have to see if it turns into full blown AF.

Shitting hell - I’m 7dpo and I’m bleeding. Not too much but Turin brown stripes when I wipe. Phoned the doctor - they don’t seem to think it’s an infection (I do) but I’m worried my period has come a week early?!

Why does my body not play ball!! Ffs.

I’m totally with you, I’m 6dpo and have zero symptoms and also feel that it’s not my month. However, it is way too early to know either way. It was also not my month when I thought I did have them!!

If it isn’t your month..which it still might be..there is always next month and you are early on in your journey, its totally normal and okay. At least you’ve learned to hold off and do it closer to conformed Ov (this is what I’m going to take from this month) BUT it could be your month, every pregnancy is different and we aren’t out until AF turns up 💐💐💐

Thought I'd just pop on and see how you're all doing? According to my app that tracks my BBT (which I'm becoming increasingly sceptical of) but it seems to think that I ovulated on CD17. We DTD days 8,10,13,14,15&16. Bloody typical. Probably way overdid it early on and diluted DHs swimmers 🤣

I'm feeling a bit down about everything this month. If I did ovulated late then I'm probably only 2/3DPO but just feeling like it's not my month. Convinced myself it's not happening and if it was then I'd be feeling something by now. Which is obviously ludicrous and totally irrational but can't help but feel a bit meh. Hope you're all feeling a bit more hopeful and can talk me off my ledge....

My bbt was high today so I've ovulated too! 2dpo I think now. And so our wait begins- good luck ladies!

That’s me in the TWW now too....my last period was two days late weirdly so it’s thrown me off a bit but sure I’ve ovulated, off on a run of night shifts so no chance to DTD anyway! Fingers crossed for you all xx

So annoying it still hasn’t come up on my app! What a pain.
Anyway for what it’s worth I think you did the right thing - no point pushing it and I’ve actually still got EWCM that I’ve had for days and I’ve almost certain I’ve already ovulated as I get ovulation pains every month and I’m 90% sure I had them yesterday.

Hahaha bless him 🤣 ah to be as naive as the men!

I decided not to try DTD today - I did a clearblue and OPK today and both were negative so I’m pretty sure I’ve ovulated. Even if I haven’t - there’s always next month so it’s okay. DP needs a break bless him. He doesn’t get this whole ovulation thing - he said to me this evening ‘just give me three days and I’ll be back on track’ 😂😂 had to tell him it didn’t quite work like that 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi lovelies.
For some unknown reason this thread has deleted itself from my “I’m on” tab in the app. I thought the thread had been deleted and was really disappointed! Found it through my emails and hoping it comes back onto my app so I can stay up to date!
I’ve absolutely no idea when we ovulated so we have just DTD the last 4 days hoping we’ve caught it. Who knows.
@Lolliloo1234 what did you decide to do re DTD? I think there’s no need to push it with DP - you’ve definitely got enough in there to cover you 🤣
