Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

Thank you @Lolliloo1234 and @mrsmummy111 it's good to hear we are not alone.

@Wineandrun just taking each month as it comes really. Some are better than others. I find it particularly hard after family events (obviously not currently an issue) and when it feels like everyone around me is conceiving.

I really struggled when all of the results came back ok and due to funding we were discharged from the hospital after nearly a year of waiting and tests. I almost hoped there was a reason for it!

Thank you for the advice @Sammyclaire22 everything is crossed for you x

Sammyclaire22 · 18/05/2020 08:38

Balls I just wrote a long reply and it all deleted!
Basically it was welcome @justacouplettc, we've had months of failure to deposit and its not easy. After talking it through I've made more effort to jump his bones for him rather than for baby making or I've said it's too early or late for my fertile window so he's not thinking about finishing adn we've had some days I've said we will only play and not actually have penetration then once we are into it he decides he wants to. Then if he can't finish I can say we'll we were never going to in the first place so we or i can finish by hand and when he sees I don't mind he often then perks up again. Sorry if tmi...!

Sending lots of love @lolliloos1234 I remember clearly the night after my surgery and although our diagnosis was different I know the feeling of wondering if I will ever be a mum, missing my baby and what the future will hold. All I can offer is love and hope that the end is never the end.

My lines are darker today--this is 10dpo vs 12dpo today. Starting to feel sick now too along with the tiredness so it's a good sign. Trying not to get too excited yet though.

Hi @mrsmummy111 @Wineandrun @justacouplettc

Thank you for being so kind. I’ve got a day of doctors appointments and ultrasounds in front of me (they think an infection caused the miscarriage because of my inflammation markers in my blood) so today is going to be rough but at least I’ll get some answers.

Heartbroken but stoic about it, it’s cycle 2/3...it’s only just beginning and I know we can get pregnant which was a big worry for me. It’ll all be okay in the end, got to believe there is a baby at the end of this somewhere.

@justacouplettc Hello and welcome! Please do stick around, this bunch of ladies are lovely and it’s so nice to have a group around you. I’m sorry to hear you’re on a bit of a tough journey - focusing on the positives is amazing. You’re not alone with the DP hurdles...mine is built for a good time not a long time (3 DTD in a week is his maximum bless him) so that makes it tricky for us.

@mrsmummy111 11 days is okay, 10 or less is when you worry. I lengthen mine by taking vitamin d, b6, b12 and C but doesn’t sound like you need to. Perhaps it was just an odd cycle.

@Sammyclaire22 any more news on that line of yours?

Xx

Wow that is some journey @justacouplettc!

The road is rarely a smooth one but you sound very much like you're focussing on the positives, which is amazing. Also what you describe about your partner I think is incredibly common. We have discussed it on this thread before about the pressure on the man, and I've found with DH that it very much affects him sometimes too. In guess in terms of actually "TTC", the women have the relatively easy job. We don't have to enjoy it, let's face it. Whereas....they do (if they want to get the job done!)

Best of luck to you, we're all in this together!

Ps - still thinking of you @Lolliloo1234 and hoping you're doing ok Thanks

mrsmummy111 · 18/05/2020 07:41

As predicted, AF is here. CD28 which is fine but according to CB sticks I ovulated day 17 which gives me an 11 day luteal phase, that seems a bit short doesn't it?! X

Wineandrun · 17/05/2020 22:41

Welcome @justacouplettc! It sounds like you’ve been on quite a ride. How have you dealt with it over the years? Fingers crossed for you this month, do you test or just wait for AF?

@Lolliloo1234 thinking of you xxxxx

justacouplettc · 17/05/2020 21:29

Thank you @mrsmummy111. We have had months when we I haven't tracked etc but it still hasn't happened unfortunately.

We have had all the tests, investigative procedures which all came back clear/good so we were diagnosed unexplained infertility.

During our time ttc my partner has started to have issues finishing - delayed ejaculation so that has also been an added hurdle.

There isn't any nhs funding in our area so we are currently weighing up options and continuing to try naturally/home insemination methods.
X

mrsmummy111 · 17/05/2020 21:19

Welcome @justacouplettc

Of course! The more the merrier. Lovely supportive bunch here. Sorry it's taking such a long time for you, can I ask if you've been TTC the whole 4 years or had it been more on / off trying? Best of luck for this month!

justacouplettc · 17/05/2020 20:55

Hey,

I hope you don't mind me joining your chat. I have just read through all the previous posts, @Lolliloo1234 I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

I am currently in my tww, we have been trying for just over 4 years. You would think I would be more used to all the waiting really.

I look forward to following all of your journeys 🤞

mrsmummy111 · 17/05/2020 10:35

💔

Nothing anyone can say will make it better @Lolliloo1234. Absolutely f*cking horrible and my heart actually hurts for you. If there's one thing to take away from it, it's that you're capable of getting pregnant. Hurdle #1.

Look after yourself xx

Lolliloo1234 · 17/05/2020 09:49

So had results back, I’ve miscarried. They don’t think it’s ectopic
I’m just having a CT scan to rule anything else out in my kidneys.
Doctor tomorrow needs to do my smear test and swabs to investigate any possible cause for it.

Just echoing what everyone else has already said @Lolliloo1234 and reminding you that you're not on your own. We might only be on the other side of an anonymous Internet forum, but we're rooting for you and that little bean!

ncer2020 · 17/05/2020 09:16

Oh @Lolliloo1234. Super super shit.

It won't help right now, but you don't need me to tell you that there's plenty of women out there that have bled early on and went on to have healthy happy babies.

But for now, you're well within your rights to be petrified and feel like utter shite. But yes we are all here and rooting for you. Fingers crossed you can some answers 🤞🏼

Sammyclaire22 · 17/05/2020 09:12

Sorry about your bfn @Wineandrun, it never gets any easier to see it. It might still be too early- even frer don't promise 100% at 11dpo and implantation might be later. Try to keep busy for the next few days although that's easier said than done I know x

Sammyclaire22 · 17/05/2020 09:08

Ahh sorry I just read your msg! I'm glad they are checking you out, hopefully you will get some answers. We are all here for you xx

Sammyclaire22 · 17/05/2020 09:06

@lolliloo1234 try not to worry- firstly you are pregnant and big congrats. Secondly your line looks fine for 12dpo, I imagine mine tomorrow will be about the same as its much fainter yesterday but matches what went on with my dd. Thirdly not all odd bleeding means ectopic. Plus I think ectopics can take longer to show hcg- not 100% on that though.

Def get in contact with your gp but right now you have plenty of time. They won't scan until 6 weeks usually as until then they can't usually identify anything. Keep an eye on the bleeding (maybe record it, take photos etc) and on your tests to see if there is still progression. Implantation and early pregnancy can do all sorts of things to your hormones and ectopics are rare. And worst worst case I'm proof that ectopics are survivable and that you can still have a family with one tube. Im sure your gp and midwife will advise you but any pain go straight to A&E. Doesn't have to be single sided or for you to have bleeding but a rupture (the thing they worry about as it's dangerous for mum) is unlikely before 6 weeks as it's all too small before then X

Lolliloo1234 · 17/05/2020 08:55

I’m in A&E after speaking to the doctor at 6am. They think I might be miscarrying and are investigating the possibility of PID/ectopic. Just got to wait out some blood and urine results. I’ve got an IV in ready for antibiotics so hopefully they’ll come back soon.
Thank you for your support ladies, I really appreciate it. This is super shit. Xxxx

Peace of mind 🤦🏻‍♀️ (doh)

mrsmummy111 · 17/05/2020 07:38

Oh @Lolliloo1234 !!! It's a line. It's an absolutely unquestionable line. However - as @Wineandrun says, you've been bleeding consistently for a good few days so if it was me I'd be taking myself straight to A&E / urgent care and see what they think / can do. More for your own piece of mind than anything else.

What I will reiterate though is that I bled in my pregnancy, it's common and it happens. Doesn't make it any less scary but also definitely doesn't invalidate your pregnancy. Really really am rooting for you and hope you know we're all thinking of you and hope it all works out. Keep us updated xx

Wineandrun · 17/05/2020 06:29

Are you in any pain @Lolliloo1234? I think it would be unusual to be ectopic without pain. However, given that you are bleeding I would maybe pop up to a and e, they may tell you just to ride it out but at least it may put your mind at rest if you speak to someone. I think your line looks strong though! Congratulations 😊

BFN on a FRER for me this morning, AF due Thursday (Although could come a day or so before, my cycle varies), not sure if I’m testing too early or not. Feeling quite crampy but my boobs are nearly back to normal.

Lolliloo1234 · 16/05/2020 23:00

Still bleeding. I’m so concerned this is ectopic, I’m 12dpo and this line does not look strong enough coupled with this really odd bleeding (it’s not usual consistency/colour etc).
Should I wait for the doctors on Monday or do you think it’s a hospital trip to check what’s going on?

3dpo and looking for TTC friends

Sammyclaire22 · 16/05/2020 09:32

Big hugs @Lolliloo1234 I hope you can get some answers.
Just remember that it's never impossible- on paper we are highly unlikely as my husband has a variocele (1/3 of men are totally impotent with it and it usually affects fertility somehow) and I've only got the one tube and at high risks of another ectopic. But my dd proved it can happen against the odds and it's why ive tried to stay positive and why I'm always so thrilled to just get a line even if it doesn't end up the right outcome.
Are there any threads on PID where you can get some advice and positive stories? I found the ectopic ones helpful x

Welcome @mrsla88- my cm seems to change every month after ovulation, some months really watery others sticky or non existant. I still check but tbh I don't think mine is a reliable sign as this month I've had almost none the last few days and it's supposed to be the opposite lol

MrsLA88 · 16/05/2020 09:10

Can I jump into this thread? I'm TTC baby number 1 for 18 months almost loosing my mind now! Had 1 chemical pregnancy in October last year currently 7 dpo and praying this is the month. My cycles are clockwork so 7 more days until I can test had loads of CM this morning, has anyone else had this after ovulation?

mrsmummy111 · 16/05/2020 09:00

Yep same @Wineandrun !!!! I said no testing until AF is due OR if I got sore boobs (which I've had once in my life pretty much, and that's when I was pg with DS). But obviously I'm an idiot and tested on 8DPO and was half allowing myself to think I may have got a line. Obviously don't though 🤣

Oh goodness me @Lolliloo1234 it's been a real rollercoaster for you this month. If you do have PID does it mean you can't get pregnant whilst you still have symptoms?! If not - you absolutely still have a chance. And this could absolutely still happen for you. Sadly it's just a case of time - this TTC thing is really rough sometimes. Luckily we're all in it together!

Lolliloo1234 · 16/05/2020 08:52

@mrsmummy111 @Wineandrun @Sammyclaire22

THAT IS AMAZING NEWS SAMMY - I’m sure that line will get stronger. How amazing - so so happy for you.

Still bleeding. Not in a good way and all my symptoms have disappeared. Doctor is going to do a smear test and swabs on Monday but they think I have PID which would make any possible pregnancy pretty much unviable. So MrsMummy no making your own thread - I think this journey got a hella lot longer for me than expected. Remember, we’re not out until AF turns up!
