Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

@HopeWish what OPK’s do you use? I tried them last year for a month or so but don’t think I used them often enough to get it right.

Lolliloo1234 · 14/04/2020 09:08

@HopeWish - like you told me yesterday it could just be too early! I saw on another thread that two ladies who got BFP didn’t get it until 11dpo.

We’re not really out until AF arrives

@suki2020

Not temping, but I am doing OPKs and tracking CM so I know when about I ovulated.

Last cycle I had tons of CM after ovulation all the way up to AF. This time it has all dried up since about 2dpo. Don’t know if that is a good sign or not though...

Trying not to go crazy symptom spotting but it is always on my mind! Just have this feeling though that it isn’t this cycle.

Suki2020 · 14/04/2020 08:33

@HopeWish it may just be too soon, but fingers crossed in a few days it will be positive for you. Yeah it’s so hard waiting, I find it harder each month and so deflating when it’s negative, so I only do a test now at least 15 DPO. Do you track your ovulation with temp and CM to know exactly when you ovulate?

HopeWish · 14/04/2020 08:04

Morning Ladies!

How are you all today?

8dpo today and I crumbled and took a IC. Definitely a BFN.

Makes me feel like I am out this cycle but I know that a lot of ladies don’t get BFP until 11/12 dpo or later. The wait is sooo hard!

Suki2020 · 13/04/2020 18:20

@Lolliloo1234 I will probably wait for a missed AF as I’ve tested so many times as I’ve been off the pill for over a year but only been really trying for the last 3months.

Lolliloo1234 · 13/04/2020 17:42

@Suki2020 will keep everything crossed for you. When will you test or are you just waiting for a missed AF?

@mrsmummy111 well if I go by my CM then I ovulated last Tuesday so fingers crossed I did 🤞

mrsmummy111 · 13/04/2020 15:43

@Suki2020 Very annoying! Generally speaking even if it's all over the place you may be lucky and it may evidently spike when you're ovulating, that'll be your key. If not, I would concentrate on your CM - my mum has 5 kids and that's the way she conceived every time, she swears by it!

Suki2020 · 13/04/2020 15:40

@mrsmummy111 yeah I find it really easy to use and last month was spot on. This month is really hard to tell whether I’ve ovulated or not as my temp is all over the place. 😬

mrsmummy111 · 13/04/2020 15:33

I agree, thanks @Lolliloo1234 so much for starting this. So nice to have a place to come to and unload a bit when DH is bored of talking about it 🤣

mrsmummy111 · 13/04/2020 15:31

@Suki2020 would you recommend it?

mrsmummy111 · 13/04/2020 15:31

I use a different app but it does track your ovulation and tells you which days are your most fertile - it was 100% accurate when we conceived my son and we got it on the first try, but of course that's also a lot of luck. As every pregnancy is! It lets you enter info such as CM, OPKs etc and tells you months in advance when you're "likely" to ovulate and when your most fertile days are based on that.

Suki2020 · 13/04/2020 15:30

@mrsmummy111 yeah I use an oral thermometer every morning as soon as I wake up and before I get out of bed. I use the app fertility friend

Suki2020 · 13/04/2020 15:27

It’s so nice having ladies to chat to about it rather than my other half that has no idea what I’m talking about half the time Grin
Does anyone else use charts to see when they ovulate?

@Suki2020 Hi! Do you use a particular app? I use natural cycles and take my temp using an oral nasal thermometer every day but it says as long as you take it immediately after waking up and you've had a decent amount of sleep then it doesn't have to be the exact same time (its roughly the same time for me, but obviously the baby gets me up early sometimes!) x

Suki2020 · 13/04/2020 15:14

Hi yeah I take my temp roughly same time everyday, maybe 15mins different at weekends

Lolliloo1234 · 13/04/2020 14:55

Hi, I’m so pleased this group has taken off with so many people now. This TTC malarkey is tough going and deffo not as simple as I first thought that’s for sure!

@Suki2020 have you been taking your temp at the same time each day?

OP posts:
Suki2020 · 13/04/2020 14:39

Hi everyone,
I’m 33 and trying for our first baby. I’m 6dpo, I’ve been taking my body temp every morning for the last 3month, this month it seems all over the place. Not sure if stress is playing a part in it. Has anyone else found this?

serialplanner · 13/04/2020 14:30

@Snowberry4 I definitely do not find it as sexy and my DH's sex drive is lower than mine.

I almost think gosh wouldn't it be easier at uni when you had sex 10 times a day everyday!

@Wineandrun what a hero for having sex so often as usual! We are not like at all. Definitely weekend sex people who then go a bit crazy on holiday etc. Makes me a bit nervous for the TTC journey as it's a breeding ground for arguments isn't it.

I always hoped I would "just see how it goes" but given we don't just have sex everyday/other day it's pretty much impossible not to try properly especially as period apps predict when you are ovulating etc.

Gosh this is all so werid! But goodConfused

serialplanner · 13/04/2020 14:26

@Lolliloo1234 sending lots of positive vibes and fingers crossed for you!

Wineandrun · 13/04/2020 14:19

I have to admit we don’t do baby making sex any differently, we just have sex, normally every other day/ every day if he’s lucky 😂 I purposely don’t tell my husband when I might be ovulating though and we have sex at least every other day anyway when I’m not on shift. I honestly don’t think how you have it will make any difference, as long as sperm is swimming up there you can’t do much else surely?

@Lollieloo I can’t see anything but I never can in pictures. I have everything crossed for you for a few days time though!!

Lolliloo1234 · 13/04/2020 13:59

@HopeWish I’m 6dpo but I have quite a short luteal phase (11 days normally) so you are probably right. Next cycle I will not be doing this early testing thing! I need a distraction - May have to get cleaning or something else equally time consuming!

Hello!
Joining as I'm on month 1 of ttc, I ovulate in 2 days, so still a few more opportunities to DTD.

Im 30,and have an 18 month little boy who's just the best!
We conceived the first month trying last time, and only had unprotected twice around ovulation time, so I'm hoping it's quick again for us!

Best of luck ladies, let's hope this month is our month!

HopeWish · 13/04/2020 13:51

@lolliloo1234

I can see something really faint but too early to tell really atm! You are, what, 5/6 dpo? I don’t think any test will show a pos at that stage.
Everything crossed for you though!
