3dpo and looking for TTC friends

Lolliloo1234 · 11/04/2020 18:18

Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

@mrsm2021 that sounds eventful to say the least! Had had ectropion bleeding with my first and it's such a worry each time.
And HG sounds horrendous. I was lucky just to have nausea but know ladies who had the full whack and its so serious too. No wonder you are keen to get to the next bit! Not sure if you would be interested by my doula has some free podcasts out recently, she taught me so much and they cover a huge range of topics

I'd forgotten some of the newborn stuff even though its only been a couple if years, how they won't go down in their crib and will only sleep on you (we're loving out of that phase now at least) and how amazing they smell 😀

Oh says we are done with kids now so I've started selling their bits, it's so hard! I'm. Keeping my favourites with the excuse I want to make them blankets and I've started buying more bits for them both from vinted to cheer myself up haha. If I sell stuff on there it doesn't count right?

Quite sad that that whole phase of ttc is probably over. Its awful at the time, but I will miss the hope and the excitement part of it.
Hope everyone has had a good start to the week so far x

MrsM2021 · 14/05/2021 18:19

@Sammyclaire22 oh bless her - what a little trooper having to deal with all of that! I’m so so pleased for you and wonderful to hear that your eldest is doing well with a little sister around!

Oh my pregnancy has been horrendous! I can laugh about it now but I had HG then bleeds/ectropion then passing out and now her abdomen has stopped growing so I think they’ll have her out early! Kind of relieved to be honest as I’ve had about enough...I’m ready for the next bit so only a couple more weeks to go now! Very excited about having a little girl and I’m busying myself washing all of the completely impractical pink outfits we’ve got!

So so lovely to hear your updates 💕💕

Sammyclaire22 · 14/05/2021 12:32

Ahh hey! Yep all good here, she's coming up to 4 months now. Had another home birth which I was so relieved about, even though it snowed and was touch and go for a little bit if we would be able to get people to us.
Had a few issues along the way, tongue tie revised at 4do, and then she developed allergies and silent reflux so I'm now dairy and legume free. Now hitting the 4 month sleep regression and she's waking every hour at night! But otherwise its been amazing. My eldest has been so good with her and patient with me being less available. I feel a lot more relaxed this time round, probably because we've not been able to go or do anything haha.

How has your pregnancy been? X

MrsM2021 · 12/05/2021 13:07

@Wineandrun CONGRATULATIONS 🎉
Wonderful news 🥰

Wineandrun · 12/05/2021 10:33

Hello! Yes I now have a beautiful 14 week old daughter, she is an absolute legend! She’s a very easy baby, sleeps, eats, laughs and generally is just a joy to be around. Her older siblings adore her

MrsM2021 · 12/05/2021 10:31

@Sammyclaire22 @mrsmummy1111 @Wineandrun

Name changed but Bobblehatwobble here.

As I’m now nearing the end of my pregnancy you guys must have had your babies! I’d love an update as you all were such a help/support during the TTC rollercoaster! Xxx

Bobblehatwobble · 16/10/2020 15:18

@mrsmummy1111 I had some tests which showed I had the egg reserve of a 42 year old and my fiancé has dodgy/inconsistent motility and morphology. We saw so many consultants who basically said that as we want more than one child to not wait and go to IVF immediately. We’re incredibly lucky that we are able to afford to do that and not wait for the NHS so we went for it. Technically, under NHS guidelines we’d be classed as having unexplained infertility but that’s because of their funky guidelines. Like you said though, doesn’t really matter because it’s worked for now. The fear is super real though!

Yes our scan is really soon because with our IVF clinic they scan at 7 weeks. Then I have scans every couple of weeks for quite a while because IVF babies are higher risk for heart defects and preterm birth. So we will find out how many there are during this scan. I also have blood tests every week at the moment to make sure everything is progressing well so it’s not exactly a normal pregnancy experience! Xxx

Sammyclaire22 · 14/10/2020 16:08

Ahh lovely news @bobblehatwobble! Really hope things go more plain sailing for you now.

Glad things are OK after the scan, it's so stressful making sure they are ok esp when we have to go alone! (I hope you didnt) @mrsmummy1111

Were at the same point @wineandrun! I'm starting to struggle getting up from the floor now haha
All good my end, almost 26w and still feels surreal! Discharged to midwife led care too so hoping it stays simple compared to my first. FC for another home birth! Having a little girl but not told people in person x

Wineandrun · 14/10/2020 10:13

Hi ladies lovely to hear how you’re all getting on! I’m now 25 weeks and the size of a house 😂 don’t know what we’re having. Congratulations to you all!

mrsmummy1111 · 14/10/2020 09:53

@Bobblehatwobble No not finding out the sex. Although so far I'm convinced it's a boy but don't want to get my hopes up (I would love a brother for DS 🙈) and a baby is a blessing so of course realistically I don't care what it is. As long as it's healthy that's all that matters.

If you don't mind sharing, what did the tests say? Of course if you want to keep it private then you don't need to give an explanation, I'm just always curious about other peoples journeys. At the end of the day, you're pregnant and that's the important thing. I'm over the moon for you.

I always said I'd have loved twins first! People thought I was mad 🤣 but it's an inbuilt best friend for life. I couldn't handle it now, not with a 17 month old toddler running me ragged but what an exciting prospect. Have you had any scans yet or waiting for the first one? We had an early one at 7 weeks just to know that everything was ok and it was the best decision.

Thanks for getting back in touch, truly great to hear from you and in such positive circumstances xx

Bobblehatwobble · 14/10/2020 09:35

@mrsmummy1111 YAY CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉🎉🎉 I’m pleased to hear baby is okay, must’ve been horrid to have a scare like that. Are you finding out the sex or are you keeping it a surprise?

After the miscarriage I had to take some time to take stock and look after myself for a bit. We had some tests done at the beginning of Summer which were really worrying hence going to IVF so quickly.

I’m only 6 weeks - I am not feeling amazing, food aversions and nausea has kicked in already. I had two embryos put back so we find out soon whether we are having twins or not! Or even scarier...triplets! I worked very hard before our IVF cycle to prepare my body and my mind which I think has helped. I don’t remember the last time I had a drink or a take away 😫 it’s worth it in the end though. Xxxx

mrsmummy1111 · 14/10/2020 07:45

Hi ladies! @Sammyclaire22 @Bobblehatwobble

Sorry @Sammyclaire22 I seem to have completely missed your previous message. Really nice to hear from you both! How's your pregnancy going? You must be fairly far along now. Hope everything has been well so far and you and baby are both doing well.

@Bobblehatwobble I have been thinking about you! I had a feeling maybe things hadn't necessarily been smooth sailing but it's so great to hear things are finally looking up. I have a number of very good friends who went through IVF and I know it can be a very stressful and emotional experience, but I'm thrilled it seems to have worked so quickly for you! How are you feeling? When did you get your BFP?

I'm 16 weeks with baby #2 now. We had a bit of a scare at the 12w scan but thankfully everything is ok, other than that everything is good my end!

Please check in and share your updates ❤️ (you too @Wineandrun if you're still here!)

Bobblehatwobble · 14/10/2020 07:25

@mrsmummy1111 @mrsmummy111 @Sammyclaire22 @Wineandrun

Hey, Lolliloo here but with a slightly different name again!!
Just wanted to pop by and see how you guys were doing after all this time! My ttc journey wasn’t straight forward in the end and I have just finished IVF with a BFP. Early days and IVF babies are high risk but keeping the faith.

How’re you all doing? X

Sammyclaire22 · 18/08/2020 22:39

Hey @mrsmummy1111 how are you?
My emails don't seem to come through anymore for some reason. All OK my end, heading towards my 20w scan soon, still feels surreal. X

mrsmummy1111 · 29/07/2020 19:41

Hi ladies, thought I’d check in and see how you’re all getting along as it’s been a while since we caught up!! Those of you already pregnant, hope it’s all going well for you!!!

Any more BFPs to share??

@Lolliloo1234 how’s everything going?

Lollieloo1234 · 04/06/2020 09:53

@mrsmummy111 yep Static smiley today. But I’m also bleeding again so I have no idea what my body is doing. Brown blood and quite a lot today - perhaps ovulation bleeding but I dunno. Everything is a little bit muddled up.
I might DTD today or tomorrow but I think I’ll see what happens with the bleeding because if it turns into AF there’s no point.

mrsmummy111 · 03/06/2020 12:12

Any static smiley @Lollieloo1234 ?

Lollieloo1234 · 02/06/2020 21:06

@mrsmummy111 I’m CD15 so I’m keeping everything crossed for a static tomorrow, I’ve ovulated on CD17 before but never later than that. However, when I wiped today I had a little bit of blood so I could be on my next cycle already. Honestly who knows?! I have no idea what my body is doing honestly. I usually get CM but none this week. I haven’t been temping but I probably should have done!

mrsmummy111 · 02/06/2020 20:40

Which CD are you now @Lolliloo1234 ? It's CD16 for me so if DH tries it on tonight I'll oblige (because why not!! 🤣🤣) but then think I'll give it a rest after that. Like you say, if it happens it happens! Also you are super duper fertile immediately after MC so I'm hopeful for you that this will be your month. I've had a load of CM all week so I'm almost positive I've already ovulated just can't pinpoint when.

But there you go I guess. Another TWW awaits...

Lollieloo1234 · 02/06/2020 20:13

@mrsmummy111 I think I may be in the same boat you know - Day5 flashing smiley face today and If I don’t get a static tomorrow I’ll just stop for this month. Very odd! You should test with first morning urine which I’ve been doing. No EWCM and I got some 2 days after my period last week so I could be completely topsy turvy after the MC. My boobs have been so sore this week to a point I did a pregnancy test which was negative. Hoping it signals imminent ovulation due to rise in oestrogen but who knows! I did a cheapy one this afternoon which was pretty strong so I’m going to DTD tomorrow night and then be done with it.
Don’t need the stress!! If it happens it happens right?!
I usually use Superdrug CB ones but this month I am using Amazon ones which have reported that some batches they send are fakes.

mrsmummy111 · 02/06/2020 13:58

Well I either didn't have a peak or I missed it by testing too late in the day, because I got 7 (I think?) flashing smileys and then today I got a negative and my temp also spiked this morn so I've got a feeling i ovulated yesterday. We didn't DTD yesterday but tbh, we DTD every day possible last month and still didn't catch it so I genuinely feel weirdly chilled about it. Ask me again in 10 days time though.....🤣

Hope you ladies are all enjoying the sunshine. Any update on static smiley @Lolliloo1234? Xx

Sammyclaire22 · 01/06/2020 19:55

Nice to see you back @lollieloo1234, and as @mrsmummy111 said its not selfish at all. It's such a personal experience and I know I found it hard when I found out people were expecting even if I hardly knew them. I'd have no idea if they had a long or short ttc journey but it still doesn't make it easier as its a reminder of what you want and what you have lost. With my first I found out my best friend was due about a week before I would have been and even when I got pregnant again I still found it tough.

Fc for you @mrsmummy111.. Ive never used the clear blue as they sound too confusing for me! But dtd regularly should be all that's needed and if oh is getting it when he wants then everyone is happy lol!

Lollieloo1234 · 01/06/2020 08:11

@mrsmummy111 I doubt you’ve missed your peak. I’m convinced I ovulated last Sunday as I’m on Day 4 of flashing smileys CD14 but probs just my brain as I’ve ovulated CD16/17 before! I’m sure your static will come xxx

mrsmummy111 · 31/05/2020 14:19

Yayyyyyy! Welcome back @Lollieloo1234 !!! I've honestly been thinking about you and wondering how you're doing. Very strange considering you're a virtual stranger to me but I think this who's TTC journey is making me soft!

Ah well that will explain why I couldn't tag you before then.

By the way, that's not selfish. That's really really normal. I still feel happy when other people tell me they're pregnant, but I also feel deeply envious. I think if I went through what you did then I'd also have a very hard time trying to be happy for a while, but it'll be your turn soon and everything else will fade into the background.

I am now on day 6 of flashing smileys (CD 14) so I've either missed my peak (I don't always use FMU) or maybe I'm ovulating late / not ovulating this month. But we're DTD like normal and trying to stay relaxed. I think I overdid it last month and diluted DH's swimmers so trying a new tactic of (pretending to) go with the flow and just do it when he tries it on 🤣 Good luck back at work and keep us updated how you're getting on! Xx

Lollieloo1234 · 30/05/2020 20:20

@mrsmummy111 Hi 👋 it’s me, back again, slight name change (I shut down my account for a bit but couldn’t get my exact name back) but still me 😂
I’ve been spending some time healing. I found it very difficult to be happy for anyone else for a week or two which was super selfish of me so I needed to hibernate whilst I became a nice person again.
Flashing smiley face day 2 for me, CD12. Ovulation may be Monday I dunno. Not DTD that much, just every other day until no more smiley faces. If it happens then great but if it doesn’t then it’s fine 😊 my body needs to heal mentally and physically so it’ll do it’s thing when the time is right.

Congrats too all those with BFPs 💐💐💐💐 looks like this is a lucky thread.

I’ll drop in and out from now on, back to work full time on Monday which is going to be one wild ride!

Lots of love to you all xxxx
