Hey everyone, I'm joining too. Not desperately TCC, but as I'm 36, it just felt like maybe this slight break in my professional career (was in the process of applying to new jobs), and having removed my implant about a month ago, came as signs that maybe it's time to give it a try. Have a DD from a previous relationship who's now 19! CD4 for me, not really tracking ovulation apart from using Flo's predictions so far.

NemoBear7 · 17/04/2020 13:33

Yeah, you’re so right. @ Newbie0818 That ebay advert always makes me feel for woman who are infertile. It must make them cry whenever it comes on.

Newbie0818 · 17/04/2020 13:18

I definitely understand that worried feeling @Dixie17 I’ve always worried that i would be infertile, I don’t know why. And now each month it feels like it’s becoming a reality :/ chin up though, that’s all we can do.

I completely feel you @NemoBear7. I always thought I’d get pregnant as soon as I missed a pill, so now that I’ve been off it for so many months and still nothing... how silly I was! Lots of my friends have got pregnant by accident too, or so they say... it’s a bit of a slap in the face.

And that advert is horrible! 96 seconds my a**!

MrsEmilyB · 17/04/2020 12:45

Had another BFN today at 10dpo 😭 so I think I'll be joining you guys on the May bus! TTC #1, cycle 2

Any tips for more luck? I bbt and use OPK so know I ovulated and we BD at the right time!

NemoBear7 · 17/04/2020 12:31

Not to be depressing but is anyone finding it hard to be joking yet another TTC bus. Finding it particularly hard this time.

This is my second time TTC as we already have one but she was born after only 2 months TTC. Now with being at home all day with a 3 year old for the first time in 18 months as she’s normally at pre-school.

The stress of trying to get pregnant and a fiancé who is a key worker and not really around much, I’m feeling even more stressed and hopeful this month. It seems to be the only positive hopeful thing on the horizon at the moment, and I’m desperate to have a little bump again and dig out the maternity clothes again!

Anyone else finding this month harder than others? Sorry for the moan

RobinRose · 17/04/2020 10:45

What’s everyone doing to keep themselves occupied during TWW?

Juno231 · 17/04/2020 09:11

Hi ladies, I'm jumping on the May bus! AF showed up today so I'm back to square one 🤷‍♀️. TTC#1 - 4th cycle.

With AF showing up early, ovulation has been moved back from 2nd of May to 28th of April so I'll be starting on the OPKs soon enough!

Mamaofboys3 · 17/04/2020 08:53

Hi ladies, mind if I join the May bus? I'm on my first month TTC since my MC in Feb. I had my peak fertility result yesterday so starting my 2WW now x

Lily2020 · 17/04/2020 08:44

Oh great @Minster2012 keep me posted on how you get on, I think I'm going to struggle to remember to temp before I do anything else! I'm sorry to hear you've been through so much 😣 hopefully May is your month!!

bluemonday2020 · 16/04/2020 22:49

@MoonW same here for OPK, managed to get a positive test yesterday evening and this morning, I am on cd18. Have been dtd every day since 3 days now and every two days before that. Not sure if we need to continue tomorrow as well Hmm

Littlebump2018 · 16/04/2020 22:09

I've just got some CB ovulation tests through and AF is almost over 🙊

Minster2012 · 16/04/2020 21:14

@Lily2020 I’ve literally started temping two days as my 1st AF after MMC just finished & that’s when I got the thermometer through, first cycle trying so not done OPKs either so all new to me too! MMC was from IVF which was due to chemo treatment for 10 years in all, last may to nov we TTC then used our frozen embryo for IVF so never used them

Skyla01 · 16/04/2020 20:16

Hi @Dixie17 I remember at the beginning having thoughts like that too... and now we're over a year in! However I think it's important to keep the faith and believe that it will happen for us soon, just need a bit of patience. Hopefully May bus is for us!

Lily2020 · 16/04/2020 19:58

@Rainbow1991 oh fab glad you're here 😊 I'm ok thank you! A lot more positive now than when AF arrived, had a few down days but ready to get on with this cycle now, got the big guns out, opks & thermometer so hopefully this months the month! How are you?

Lily2020 · 16/04/2020 19:54

@Minster2012 I'm starting with the opk's on Wednesday, I'm really interested to see how it all works after reading about so many peoples experiences on here! How long have you been doing the bbt temping? Did it match up with the OPKs?

popcorndiva · 16/04/2020 19:34

Hi @Dixie17 was thinking earlier today how insensitive that eBay advert is. Oh it just took the couple 96 seconds. Though I do think poor woman if it was all over in 96 seconds.

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 16/04/2020 19:26

@Lily2020 I’m using the femometer app & sticks & thermometer, only because that was all I could get really. Literally the only thermometer I could find (though I’m not so fussed about temping but it’s good to have a thermometer!) The app I find a lot easier than others, I’m trying Ovia as well & downloaded premom & though I’ve only just started I find femometer so much easier though I’ve not really started to use the OPKs as only CD4 here but seems good

Dixie17 · 16/04/2020 19:25

Hello..can I join? This is my first mumsnet post despite looking at all the TTC posts since day 1.
CD1 of 6th cycle. Feeling a bit blue..I’ve always worried I’d struggle to have a baby and each month that AF arrives it confirms that fear just a little more (even though I know 6months is nothing really). Trying to be positive though and joining this bus for bit of moral support.

Also....does anyone else hate the eBay advert!?

Skyla01 · 16/04/2020 19:25

@Positivetime we did smep for 3 cycles before Christmas. No success... But I did like the fact that I felt in control and knew we were doing everything possible to try and get that bfp!

Rainbow1991 · 16/04/2020 18:45

@Lily2020 hi lovely! Yes we’ve decided to jump into the May bus & keep everything crossed. How are you feeling at the moment? AF is soon to finish and then it’s Operation May bus full steam ahead!

Positivetime · 16/04/2020 17:51

Silly question but lots of ppl have told me they didn’t ovulate using the sticks as in it didn’t show them that they were and also friends with PCOS told not ovulating. But they still get pregnant...how is that possible?
I’ve not tracked it yet but already worried what if I don’t ovulate at all.

Lily2020 · 16/04/2020 17:51

@Rainbow1991 are you jumping on the May bus? How are you? Not sure if it was you who mentioned using fermometer tests/app/thermometer? Ive just got some in the post & feeling fairly positive 😊

Newbie0818 · 16/04/2020 17:30

@Positivetime I tried it, no luck. But I don’t think I ovulated last month 🤷🏼‍♀️

NemoBear7 · 16/04/2020 16:27

@Positivetime Not heard of it, but having just looked into it I think I might give it a try this month. Nothing to lose...

Positivetime · 16/04/2020 16:05

Will anyone be trying the SMEP? Been reading up on it and it’s successes. Anyone else been successful before or heard good things?
