@selina37 so sorry about AF... Dreadful feeling, I hope you are eating cake in bed ♥️♥️

Minster2012 · 28/04/2020 10:43

@MrsEmilyB just had to look up my BMI! It’s 22 so obs I’m a bit bigger than you ladies!! I’ve got big boobs so blaming those!! I’ve always been in between a size 8-12 so it varies, currently doing well at a slim 8-10 so I’m pleased. I’m not veggie but like to have a few meat free days & that helps keep my weight down. The pom juice comes from IVF where they say it helps thicken Womb lining which I struggled with, after I started to drink it then my lining did improve so I might as well 🤷‍♀️Yay for cycle buddies!!

@Newbie0818 the preseed is meant to be for yeah if you are either a bit prone to dryness or get a bit dry from too much DTD. If you are ok on that front then no need for it. But for instance using saliva isn’t recommended to help swimmers

Adrianoska · 28/04/2020 10:43

@MrsEmilyB it's not sexy, all that pressure, is it?
My husband would normally want to have sex every day or more often! But this cycle i think even he felt pressure around the ovulation time because a couple of times it wasn't happening... It is a horrible feeling.
😕

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 10:41

@selina37 - I'm sorry AF arrived 😞 sending you so much baby dust for next cycle!

@runnergirl1 - I worry that too. I didn't have periods at all between about 2015-2018. It kills me to think I may have damaged my chances of becoming a mum. But at the time, it just didn't seem that important. It's lovely to talk to people in the same boat - we haven't told anyone either!

@coronababy - I've heard the prenatal supps can affect your cycles too! I'll ask the homeopath tomorrow and get back to you all! Knock him dead in those new undies girl 😉😂 I need to get on ordering some!!

Adrianoska · 28/04/2020 10:39

@Kate890 I am unfortunately 36 now... 😩 I have two kids from a previous marriage (12 and 6) and we had MC 7 months ago.
My cycles use to were 28 days but since I took a mini pill for a month after miscarriage they are only 25 days!

My boobs are not painful anymore, so I am losing my hopes already. I hate that feeling. Like I feel empty inside.

How are you all doing? 🌸

CoronaBaby · 28/04/2020 10:36

@Runnergirl1 Yes keep an eye! My local health food shop is excellent for supplements if you were interested in going down that route? If you ask one of the assistants they usually know their stuff. With all this Covid business I rang and had a chat with the owner and she talked me through all the options, it is not cheap if I’m being honest but I do suffer with my mood directly related to my hormones and I did find it really helped me.

Adrianoska · 28/04/2020 10:36

@MrsLBear yeah... It is so funny. My husband is from Egypt and his mother, like many older ladies thare, believe in a special healing powers of smoke etc... On the 5th cd he had to prepare some mixture for me that he burnt and I had to step over it 7 times so wearing a loose dress so the smoke "entered" all my bits. 😂😂😂 Both me and my husband were pissing ourselves but he promised his mum so we did it. I smelled like a homeless piguen for the next two days! But if I get pregnant this month then I swear my husband, together with his mum, will put it down to this weird ritual 😂

Runnergirl1 · 28/04/2020 10:29

@CoronaBaby - I take some from asda but I took them last month and that cycle was 29 so not sure if that’s the reason. I’ll keep an eye on it though might have to stop them or change them.

CoronaBaby · 28/04/2020 10:17

@Runnergirl1 I agree it’s so nice to be able to talk to others in the same situation, especially during lockdown! I know it’s easy to say to be kind to yourself as I could do a better job of it myself, are you taking any prenatals? I’ve heard some can affect your cycle.
@MrsEmilyB thanks for the information on the OPKs I’ve got some CB ones but wasn’t sure of the finer details. And also for the BD tips, it’s nice to mix it up a bit to keep things fresh!
@Newbie0818 I’ll give it my best shot, I’m ready now, fresh sheets and going to take @MrsEmilyB advice and try get some new undies when im doing the food shop tomorrow!

RobinRose · 28/04/2020 10:11

@MrsEmilyB that’s true... I’ll try keep a positive head on but I’m certain she’s coming! @selina37 TTC is pants at times isn’t it? Try not to get your hopes up then it’s onto the next month!

Runnergirl1 · 28/04/2020 10:02

@CoronaBaby - you are right I am normally quite hard on myself. It’s not so much the ttc I’m stressing about now it’s the realisation that my af is all over the place and not sure how this is going to go.
@Skyla01 I seem to manage but atm I’ve only got the very lightest of test lines - I.e squint to see them. I always worry how much fluid ‘dilutes them’ because I do them at 1pm and have a few cups of tea before testing.
@Minster2012 @MrsEmilyB and that’s what I worry whether I’ve done damage from when I was a lot younger and my af was a lot lot worse than it was now but yeah going to try keep eating and doing some exercise

Thank you ladies is lovely to have people to talk too especially when we are all locked in and I haven’t told anyone I’m trying

selina37 · 28/04/2020 09:58

AF for me. ☹️
On a plus I've sent back a pre-appointment questionnaire a the fertility clinic. Hoping to get a HyCoSy test (when this covid situation clears). Heard stories of BFPs after such, as it flushes out the tubes. 🤔
God I hate this TTC, living month to month 😞

Kate890 · 28/04/2020 09:38

@Adrianoska We are in a very similar situation! Although a couple of times, my cycle was slightly longer. I’m 30 and u? I might give the bird poo a miss for now! 👍 I have never used opks before but have ordered some for next month, hopefully won’t be needing them 🤞 x

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 09:26

@newbie0818 - haha mine too! I've made sure I've got fluffy socks at the ready for the 2ww!

Newbie0818 · 28/04/2020 09:24

So pre-seed. I have some, but haven’t used any this month as I’ve been naturally very... um... lubricated? 😂

Is it only meant to be used if you’re not producing ewcm does anyone know? I bought it last cycle as I was getting a bit obsessive with it all, but since relaxing this cycle things have been a lot easier.

Newbie0818 · 28/04/2020 09:23

@Mamaofboys3 congratulations! ✨✨

@CoronaBaby your post did make me laugh 😂 enjoy your fertile window!

@Kate890 hi 👋🏼 And fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

@ApplePie86 I seem to have long cycles now too, each month getting longer it seems. Never had mid cycle spotting since coming off the pill, but I do seem to get random cramps and stuff throughout? Not quite sure if it’s ovulation or something else! I try not to google as it naturally makes me paranoid 😰

@mrsemilyb I was reading your post and the part about the warm feet- I’ve not no chance 😂 mine are always like ice blocks!

@Minster2012 I’m with you on the cycles front- all over the place since coming off the pill. So annoying. I really worry about it.

@Adrianoska I think if this cycle and the next doesn’t work out, I’ll be trying everything like you are. Really hope you get your BFP soon 🤞🏼

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 08:59

@Positivetime - well, what's normal for you and your OH? Personally, we do it 3-4 times a week anyway, so ramping it up sometimes is less of a "jump". However, DH does definitely feel the pressure of being a baby making machine sometimes!

Get feeling sexy, girl! Have a bath, shave your legs (if that's you), put on some music that makes you feel like a babe! Putting on a little makeup always helps me.

Do it in different rooms! I know that sounds weird but there's something naughty about bonking on the guest bed or being a big teenager and getting fruity on the sofa whilst watching a film. Change of scenery is sometimes what you need. I'd advise going on holiday, but clearly that isn't going to happen in the current climate!

Get some new undies? DH is a sucker for some stockings 😂😂😂

If your OH has any fantasies, suggest trying some out!

Change up when you do it. Sleepy morning deeds, cheeky lunch break deeds, long evening sessions!

That's all the advice I have 😂 fingers crossed some of it may be useful. If all else fails, my friend swears by "get naked" 😂😂😂

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 08:42

@Positivetime We definitely wouldn't manage every day, every other day is even a struggle. OH come home from work completely exhausted and also feels extreme pressure so we are just doing what we can.

Positivetime · 28/04/2020 08:35

Thanks @MrsEmilyB
Now my next question how does everyone manage to do it for 3-4 days on a trot without getting tired and miserable? My husband honestly struggled the other day as he felt under pressure. I totally get that but I don’t know how else to make it not so militant when it needs to be scheduled! Sorry if this is too personal but would appreciate any tips!
I did try to wear something nice for him but I’m feeling rather unsexy during quarantine right now!

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 08:19

@RobinRose it's not over until she appears! 🤞

@Positivetime - a positive OPK means you're likely to ovulate in the next 24-72 hours. Personally, I'd be doing the deed this evening and daily for the next 3-4 days! Baby dust your way!!

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 08:19

Been reading up about seed cycling since it was mentioned. Sounds interesting and very easily to do, will definitely add that to my ever expanding list of things to try if it doesn't work out this cycle 🤣

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 08:17

@Minster2012 - what's your bmi like? Mine is 20, which I know is healthy, but I worry its not high enough? The GP told me bmi 22-23 is best for babies, but I haven't been there in the last 5 years probably.

I'm veggie too! Trying to reduce my dairy intake a bit as I do eat a lot of it! What's the deal with pom juice? We are also each on only 1 cup of coffee per day (booo)!

My predicted ovulation date is next weds also! So sounds like we'll be 2ww buddies this cycle!

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 08:13

@Adrianoska - sounds like you've done everything! Legs up? Like after the deed? Bird poo inhalation?! I am weirdly intrigued! Hadn't heard about the no jumping thing. Is that just during the 2ww? I do quite a lot of exercise and some of that does indeed involve jumps! Fingers crossed your firey nips are a sign 🤞😂

Positivetime · 28/04/2020 08:08

Hi guys. Me again withe my OPK qus! So I had a flashing smiley yesterday and a static today? Is that accurate do you think? According to my app I wasn’t due to ovulate for another two days as my period was late last cycle.

And if it is likely accurate should I be DTD for the next three days? And does it’s matter if we do it later on in the day than now or at night?

RobinRose · 28/04/2020 07:33

Urgh. Woke up with mild cramping and a bit of brown spotting this morning (sorry tmi), af is on her way ☹️
