@Minster2012 it took a lot of effort but I was after leaving myself go a bit, I feel much happier in my own skin now, which was the main point of it.
I don’t think anyone would really want to see me in my undies, I tend to avoid the mirror myself 🤣
@Skyla01, this is my first time joining a thread, I used to just read and run but I’m so glad I found such a friendly thread to join!

MrsLBear · 28/04/2020 13:49

@MoonW your chart looks very promising, wishing you the best of luck!! Let us know how you get on tomorrow.

@Adrianoska now that is very interesting, question...did you have to collect the bird poo? I'm not doing this btw I am just so intrigued haha. Never heard anything like it.

Skyla01 · 28/04/2020 13:42

@MoonW when is AF due? I don't know anything about temping but fingers crossed for you!

@Ltay2 I think weight is like so many ttc things- if you aren't bang on average or "normal" we worry either way!

@Runnergirl1 if you can afford it might be worth investing in a fancy tracking system, see how it goes. I've heard ovusense is good fit long / irregular cycles. And I know what you mean- a lot of ttc DTD isn't very glamourous...!

It's not even May yet and the thread is filling up fast! Hope to see lots of bfps over the coming weeks!

Minster2012 · 28/04/2020 13:31

@CoronaBaby that’s brilliant about the weight loss well done!! Don’t worry about genes or jeans...but I did nearly spit my lunch out laughing about you showcasing your undies about after lockdown... who else will you need showing them to??? 😂🤣

CoronaBaby · 28/04/2020 13:01

@MrsEmilyB it’s the jeans I’m worried about. In the last 6 months I have lost 9.5kg, I bought new jeans to celebrate and they haven’t been showcased yet, at the rate I’m eating they won’t fit once the restrictions are lifted 😕

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 12:55

@coronababy - pahaha the undies comment made me giggle 😂 all my clothes are loose fitting and/or elastic. I can't be dealing with my clothes betraying me like that hahaha.

CoronaBaby · 28/04/2020 12:44

@MrsEmilyB your breakfast sounds delicious!
@MoonW that chart is very impressive, I’m excited to hear the result. Let us know if you test in the AM
In regards to BMI I agree with @MrsEmilyB that it takes all shapes and sizes. Not everyone is slim but not everyone is built to be, all we can do is be as healthy as we can be. I know since lockdown began I’ve been a little too lenient with alcohol and treats, I know I’ll panic when they begin to lift restrictions and my clothes don’t fit anymore....although I will have new undies to showcase 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 12:25

@MrsEmilyB That breakfast sounds amazing! Puts my porridge to shame haha.

Minster2012 · 28/04/2020 12:23

Hmmmmm everyone stares at @MoonW’s chart to make sense of it all!! I have no idea on the temping just that I seem to be rubbish at it!!

RobinRose · 28/04/2020 12:10

@MoonW your chart looks good! Fingers crossed 🤞 !

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 12:03

@MoonW - that does look like a hopeful chart! Fingers crossed for your bfp xx

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 12:02

@Skyla01 @Ltay2 @runnergirl1 @babyG123 I just think, women of all shapes and sizes all over the world concieve. So it can't be that big of an issue! My worry is because my weight stopped my periods before. DH is classed as morbidly obese by bmi, but in reality he's just a little cuddly and definitely would be very, very ill if he got down to a "healthy" bmi. So it certainly doesn't apply to all!

@Minster2012 - I've been nursing that smoothie since 7:30 haha. To be fair, it was lots of frozen berries, half an avocado, 1tbsp peanut butter, seeds galore, and 300mls coconut milk! Made 2 full glasses haha. Plus a massive slice of seeded toast with home-made houmous. I had to pace myself haha.

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 11:53

@babyG123 Thank you, that is reassuring ☺️

Minster2012 · 28/04/2020 11:48

@localbunny I’m on CD5 so not far off

Minster2012 · 28/04/2020 11:45

Yes @Adrianoska if you get BFP then we’ll al be inhaling bird poo 😂😂but it’s prob more you DTD every day tbh!!

@MrsEmilyB I wish I could have my breakfast at 11! 🤦🏼‍♀️ darling child is slightly earlier at waking than that!

babyG123 · 28/04/2020 11:45

@Ltay2 my BMI is 38 and does worry me too but I was the same when I had my son, I did diet during my pregnancy and didn't put much on. I think 8lb.

Don't panic too much.

localbunny · 28/04/2020 11:41

Well, AF finally arrived this morning so we're on CD1, cycle 2 for our first baby! Anyone else at the beginning of their cycle who'll be sitting with me on the bus this month?

MoonW · 28/04/2020 11:29

Interesting rise again this morning Hmm

I can officially say that whilst at the beginning of this TWW I was sure it wasn’t this month & wasn’t bothered about symptom spotting... I have now reverted back to almost continually symptom spotting and feeling hopeful. Although I’ve had a few instances over the last 2 days where I’ve felt like AF has arrived, but when I’ve gone to the toilet it’s just been ‘wet’ and when attempting to check my cervix (gonna be honest ladies, half the time I have no idea what I’m feeling 🤣) it’s still a white creamy lotion CM.

I debated testing this morning but bottled it at the last minute but may cave tomorrow if still no sign of AF.

@CoronaBaby that might be worth a shot. I might try our local one, think I may have to ring the doctors too if it keeps on as it’s not helpful to ttc while they are all over the place.

@MrsEmilyB your totally right there, you don’t think of the implications when your younger do you. I was a decent runner when I was younger so that was my main focus, I didn’t think about the future and how it would affect me. Now I want nothing more than a family but we can’t dwell on the past we have to keep our fingers crossed and hope it won’t have done any permanent damage.

@Skyla01 tbh that’s what we are doing. DTD every other day, it’s not pretty it’s just a BD haha. But if it doesn’t work then I may invest, it sounds bad but the money thing won’t bother me when this is what I want so badly, money doesn’t matter then

Ltay2 · 28/04/2020 11:16

I hate looking at BMI, it seriously depresses me! My BMI is 30.8 which categorises me as 'obese' which I certainly don't feel! I am only 5ft, if a tiny bit less and am a size 12-14 at the moment. I'm probably the heaviest I have been but nothing I do to lose weight ever works and makes me feel even more depressed and stressed. The only time I have successfully managed to lose weight is by doing a VERY strict eating plan, and doing keto diet which I have read is not good for TTC or pregnancy so I stopped. I try to remember that plenty of women much heavier than me do have babies and I am trying to eat healthily as much as is possible in lockdown with easy access to the fridge 🤣 and keep stress levels down.

Kate890 · 28/04/2020 11:12

@MrsEmilyB Thanks for the advice 🙌
@Adrianoska Sorry to hear about tour MC. Don’t lose hope just yet, it’s still early, my boobs aren’t half as sore either but telling myself I’m not out yet!
@selina37 sorry your AF arrived, be kind to yourself. Xx

Skyla01 · 28/04/2020 11:06

@MrsEmilyB my BMI was under 20 but I've put on a few kg so now I'm around 21. I wonder if higher would be better but I don't want to put on loads of weight... It's annoying plenty of women thinner than me conceive, but since we're struggling I'm always looking for a reason for why. I don't want to have to go and buy lots of new clothes though!

MrsEmilyB · 28/04/2020 10:56

@Adrianoska - totally agree - that pressure must be a turn off for them! I do try to play it cool, but I'm the world's worst actress 😂

@Minster2012 - bmi 22-23 is apparently perfect baby making territory! I'm an 8-10 too, but I blame my stupid thin bones for my lack of density haha. Thanks for the pom juice tip! That has gone right into the tesco basket. Currently sitting here making my way through the world's most filling smoothie as part of my "massive breakfast" regime 😅

Skyla01 · 28/04/2020 10:55

@Positivetime stick with what works for you- this ttc can get a bit miserable if you force things. Sperm can live for 3 days+ so every other day around ovulation time should be fine. Would def try DTD DTD today or tomo now you have a static smiley.

@Runnergirl1 I would recommend cb digital opk- easy to read and I always got a peak. But with such a long cycle it'll be expensive to keep up. You can invest in other things like cb fertility monitor and ovusense, but need £££. Or DTD every 3 days and jack in all the tracking would also work, but might hard work!

@Adrianoska if your smoke ritual works this month you'll need to give us detailed instructions for that one!!

Adrianoska · 28/04/2020 10:48

@Positivetime we just have to relax together on the sofa and then go to bed together. Both showered and cuddling, making sure we are both relaxed and not rushing. My husband would usually want to do it every day all the time, but this cycle he felt the pressure... It is easy for us now that we are working from home etc...
Good luck my dear 🤞😘
