@Newbie0818 😔 I am also very anxious at the moment. Really one might call me a pain in the a.... I have been so needy and annoying! And can't relax at all.

Newbie0818 · 29/04/2020 18:02

@Skyla01 thanks! Me neither!

@babyG123 that’s amazing! 🤰🏾

Thanks for the information @GemmaMay3291 I’ll check it out and maybe consider that if my body’s still playing games on me.

I feel super anxious all of a sudden! Went for a walk just now and just can’t seem to chill out. Got butterflies in my stomach too 🦋 I really said I wouldn’t get my hopes up as I’m not even meant to be trying this cycle!! Bloody OPK and it’s mind tricks!

Marshmallow123 · 29/04/2020 17:07

@ApplePie86 I am so sorry to hear you're feeling frustrated. As @Coronababy said I think our bodies definitely like to play keep us on our toes! Keep us posted though.

CoronaBaby · 29/04/2020 17:01

@Juno231 according to the flo app I am due to ovulate on Sunday, according to my Fitbit app I am due to ovulate Tuesday - I’ve been using flo since my cycle returned last year so I’d be more inclined to trust that, I know everyone’s cycle is different and everyone’s person cycle varies but possibly you could be having a longer cycle this month?

@ApplePie86 I wish I could be of more help to you, our bodies like to keep it guessing it seems!

ApplePie86 · 29/04/2020 16:56

So today is CD19 and it feels like AF is here - and if it is, it started on CD18

I'm so confused.

CD17 I had really really bad pain in left side. Felt more extreme than ovulation. Took an OPK. Positive. So DTD. I'd had very very slight spotting / just brown clots about twice that day.

CD18 - lots of brown blood when wiping.

CD19/today - more brown blood and very slight red when wiping. Hardly notice the red.

Quite extreme pain for 3 days which I never get with ovulation.

I didn't even think it would be possible to have such a short cycle really. Trying to convince myself it's ovulation bleeding (which apparently 3% of women get) but doesn't seem likely.

On the other hand it could be PCOS related albeit I have never had any symptoms other that long cycles/weight/hair.

Other thing is my AF never starts with brown spotting. So given that should be older blood, I wonder where it's from.

Hope others are having slightly more success at this TTC malarkey than I am!

Demi24 · 29/04/2020 16:53

@CoronaBaby (won’t let me tag you) thank you! Everyone seems lovely ❤️

@Juno231 I know what you mean about friends falling pregnant by accident, like how! 2 of my best friends got pregnant last year within a month of each other. One was on the pill, and one had sex ONCE 3 days before AF was due. Like how! It was the toughest thing ever trying to be happy for them when I had already been TTC for 7 months at that point. It’s even harder now they are close to giving birth and there’s still no baby in sight for me.

@Adrianoska I’m 6dpo today too! I’m feeling super emotional like I’m just crying at everything 😂 a couple of my friends have said they just had the feeling they were pregnant after just a few days, so who know!

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 16:50

@CoronaBaby I don't think so as it was a super low "high" - it only scored a 14 which for reference my peak last cycle scored 165 I think.

Hopefully I'm just late and it's not a case of me missing it completely this month.

CoronaBaby · 29/04/2020 16:42

@Juno231 I don’t know much about OPKs but would CD11 have been it? I am also on CD12 and not due to ovulate for another few days, could you be the same?
@babyG123 sounds like a dream pregnancy!
@Adrianoska that was my first symptom with DD a few days before my BFP! I could hardly wear a bra!

Skyla01 · 29/04/2020 16:34

@Newbie0818 good idea to stay away from the tests, but really hope AF stays away for you. But I won't get too excited just yet!

GemmaMay3291 · 29/04/2020 16:32

@Newbie0818 sounds like you have had a bit of a tough time!

It’s called Vitex Agnus Castus but also referred to as chasteberry. I had issues with high levels of prolactin and read that it can help to reduce them which it did! Its also said to promote the release of LH and regulate progesterone. It’s got mixed reviews from people TTC or regulate their cycles so I did loads of reading before I decided to take it. The last thing I wanted was to mess my hormones up anymore but it seems to have had the desired effect for me and this will be my 2nd cycle taking it. Xx

Marshmallow123 · 29/04/2020 16:30

Hi all.
I'm new to Mumsnet.
TTC and currently confused.
Cycle usually around 27 days. Never longer than 30. Today's day 31 and still no AF. Did a test this morning and it was negative.
Anyone else had similar experiences?

babyG123 · 29/04/2020 16:23

@Adrianoska nothing even when I had found out. Other than him kicking and the gigantic bump id prob not really have known.

This is why I'm not necessarily symptom searching this time. Felt terribly sick 2dpo-6dpo so just assume I had a bug. And I'm moody but stuck inside trying to entertain the bubs!

Adrianoska · 29/04/2020 16:04

@babyG123 no symptoms? I mean you did know you are pregnant, right? Or not at all? 🌸

Girls. I am only 6dpo. But my nipples are hurting so much. I always thought that you can't have any symptoms before implantation..
But i did lots of research now and some people and doctors think you can experience rise in certain hormones from conception....
Any experience? I can't remember with my two previous children...
Both time it did take around 6 months though.

♥️

babyG123 · 29/04/2020 16:02

@Newbie0818 @plantgirl4

I didn't find out until 7 weeks when I went for a smear test, not sure other than bump that I'd have found out other than that. He is the most amazing surprise ever! Hence wanting to add another beaut!

This time I'm super anxious. Kinda glad I missed it before lol!!!

plantgirl4 · 29/04/2020 15:56

@babyG123 wow thats amazing!

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 15:53

CD12 now btw and totally expected a peak today as ovulation is due tomorrow in theory but it's not looking good girls!

Newbie0818 · 29/04/2020 15:37

@Ltay2 @CoronaBaby @Minster2012 thank you for being so lovely 💜

@GemmaMay3291 I was on B12 before as was very tired all the time (actually turned out it was iron, but that’s a whole other issue), but I might try that and Vitex if this cycle doesn’t work out! What is Vitex?

@Juno231 that IS frustrating! Honestly, my husband is a science teacher and when I see his lessons about avoiding pregnancy, I get so annoyed 😂

@RobinRose sorry about af ❤️ Fx for next cycle 🤞🏼

@babyG123 no way! 38 weeks?!?! Considering we frantically take any twinge as a symptom that’s pretty amazing!

Welcome to all the newbies 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼

babyG123 · 29/04/2020 15:28

I have a mini pill baby in the form of a 14 month old 🙈
Again no symptoms at all the whole 38 weeks!

So yes it happens. Infact I started a thread on here about contraceptive babies and there were 84 of us on it in the end!

Ltay2 · 29/04/2020 15:22

@plantgirl4 I have heard of the pill not being quite as effective as it should be if you have been on it for 10+ years but not sure how true that is.

plantgirl4 · 29/04/2020 15:09

@Juno231 some people are just super lucky I guess - I had a friend who got pregnant while on the Pill, anyone heard of this? She claims she wasn't sick or anything either. Apparently the Dr told her it can sometimes happen when you've been taking the pill for so long?!

CoronaBaby · 29/04/2020 15:01

Oh @Juno231 that is so frustrating, it’s very difficult to hear something like that.
I was on the pill for heavy periods for years, but never thought to as if it would affect fertility, the hormones did affect my mood though so we switched to condoms and I just struggle though AF every month but it’s much better for my mental health!
@Demi24 And @plantgirl4welcome, everyone is so lovely here, I’ve found it a great distraction in these times of isolation.
@RobinRose sorry to hear about AF 😢

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 14:39

@Newbie0818 I have never had even the tiniest of pregnancy scares! I'm 32 and was on the pill since I was 17 until this October. Still can't get my head around how difficult this is considering how many get pregnant by accident.

My friend is 10 weeks pregnant now and she literally would only DTD outside of FW to avoid getting pregnant and still managed to conceive accidentally the other month. Luckily she was planning to start in June anyway but very frustrating for me to hear about!

GemmaMay3291 · 29/04/2020 14:26

@RobinRose sorry to hear AF turned up 💕

@Newbie0818 just been catching up on all the messages and it looks like we both stopped taking the pill around a similar time. I too struggled with irregular and long cycles, my longest being 48 days. It drove me mad! I know it isn’t for everyone but I started taking vitamin B12 and Vitex and my last cycle was the first time I had a ‘textbook’ cycle. It seems to have kick started my hormones into levelling out. I understand where you are coming from with wanting to avoid the disappointment but got my fingers crossed for you, for when you do decide to test. 💕

Minster2012 · 29/04/2020 14:23

@MrsEmilyB my mum was always like that too, then at our at we were the generation of “career girls” so a lot of us friends care into baby making late & realised it’s actually not that simple after years on contraception!

@Newbie0818 we’ll support you! I say you might as well test 🤞🏻

MoonW · 29/04/2020 14:08

@RobinRose Oh I’m sorry that AFs shown up Flowers
