Just as I am having a little panic @MrsEmilyB Does this mean we only have a 4hr window to get pregnant? Very interesting about the soy and the mircowave/plastic.
@Juno231 I am predicted to ovulate day 16 which is Sunday so fingers crossed for us both!
Those OPKs look quite difficult to read.
What do you all do in your fertile window regards DTD? Every day, every other day, or every third day? It’s so confusing to know what the right thing to do is!

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 22:39

@Minster2012 - honestly, it's a "catch it if you can" type affair. My gynaecologist told me they can be a bit elusive unless you are testing every 4 hours when they start to increase, and never getting a peak doesn't mean you're not ovulating.

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 22:38

@paintfairy - it's so rare for me, but I've always got 1 or 2 in the freezer as emergencies. Just my luck I used one today 😂 I think she was quite realistic about it and stressed that as long as you weren't actually eating/drinking out of plastic and ESPECIALLY not heating said plastic, that was enough. Ooh I've just ordered some more CoQ10 but I'll look at Ubiquinol when I run out! Currently my regime is:
CoQ10 100mg
Algae-based Omega 3
Pre + Probiotics
Pre-conception supps
And I'm about to add Calc Fluor 30c into my luteal phase to see if it supports implantation

Minster2012 · 29/04/2020 22:30

Oh god @MrsEmilyB no plastics I’m screwed 😂

But interesting about the 4 hour windows I will definitely remember that for next week & week after (god it seems sooooo long away!) & the femometer peaks are really interesting to see as I use those & haven’t seen a sniff of a high yet!

paintfairy · 29/04/2020 22:13

@MrsEmilyB I don't eat microwave meals at least. But so much supermarket stuff comes in plastic!
Ubiquinol is a stronger form of COQ10. I thought I'd try it. Nothing else was working. 😂 What do you take?

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 22:05

@paintfairy - I literally cringed when she said it! I've been so good with my eating for the last 4 weeks, but I cheated on my very short lunch today and stuffed a microwave meal in 😂 in plastic obviously! Haha. What's solgar ubiquinol? She's told me all of the supps I'm already on is what she would have recommended from a supplement point of view, so I feel reassured by that.

paintfairy · 29/04/2020 22:01

@MrsEmilyB lord, we always freeze stuff in Tupperware type containers. Doesn't sound great. I have been taking solgar ubiquinol this month coincidentally. Which I've realised has soya in it. So I have wondered if it's that. Or something else I've taken maybe. But I've stopped taking it! I've ordered a different kind that's not got it in! 🙄

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 21:53

On an aside, our baby making holiday at the end of next month was cancelled today 😭 bloody coronavirus!

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 21:51

@paintfairy - you've reminded me! The homeopath gave me just two "rules". She was like "yep, eating healthy is great, cutting down vices is great, but I have two things I NEED you to follow if you're trying to get pregnant. Do not eat soy containing products. Do not eat or drink out of plastic, especially if it is going in the microwave or dishwasher". Apparently the plastic that leaches out mimics oestrogen and are called "phytoestrogens". And then when I think how much soy and plastic are in our lives I sort of think, no wonder!! That and the amount of stress in modern life.

@juno231 - ooh yes, lovely peak! CD 11-13 is pretty early to ovulate, so CD 16 ish would be perfect!! Makes sure your eggs aren't undercooked 😘 as soon as your line starts to get darker I'd scale up to testing twice a day, 4 hours apart, incase it's a cycle with a super short peak. My peak of 200 dropped to 23 in 2 hours last cycle!!

@Marshmallow123 - honestly, my cycle was between 31-33 days for MONTHS, started trying for a baby and BOOM - mother nature decides its time for a cycle reshuffle 😂😭

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 21:36

@mrsemilyb @CoronaBaby actually looking at my notes for cycle 2 where I never got a peak - I'd say now it looks like I ovulated on CD16 so maybe it's the same again this time. Poor OH is gonna wanna jump out the window with all this BD! 😂

Marshmallow123 · 29/04/2020 21:23

@MrsEmilyB gosh 47 days! Thanks for sharing though, makes me feel a little less like I'm going mad! Lockdown is not helping...far too much time to over-think and over-Google!

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 21:17

@mrsemilyb yeah mine is best around 3-5pm as well. This is what mine looked like last cycle - it felt pretty textbook!

@MrsEmilyB its weird as I've never had it before. Hopefully it won't be too much longer! It does seem strange women today have so many issues. Makes you wonder.....

@Marshmallow123 yes I'll do the same. Just keep waiting I guess!

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 21:04

@paintfairy @Marshmallow123 my cycle went AWOL 2 cycles ago!! Weird!! I'm wondering whether the stressful global climate has something to do with it. I ended up with a 47 day cycle! Madness

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 21:02

@juno231 - I think it's a bit of a non-list 😂 they're all still negative, and not really getting higher yet. I only really started using Femometer coming up to ovulation day last month, before I'd just test and not record - but I did catch my peak (for the first time ever). I've attached it. This was only over the space of 24 hours! It dropped off soooo quick.

What sort of time are you testing? That can make a massive difference. Mine is always better if I test at 4 or 5 pm rather than midday or 8pm. I also test more frequently coming up to predicted OD - your peak window can apparently be detectable for as little as 4 hours!! So easy to miss! It definitely doesn't mean you're not going to ovulate yet!

@paintfairy it's so frustrating isn't it! It's put me in a really weird mood all day today too...I'm going to try and wait a week then if still no AF do another test just in case!

paintfairy · 29/04/2020 20:51

@Marshmallow123 I did a test too, just in case. But BFN. No idea what's going on. But its annoying as I want to crack on!

Marshmallow123 · 29/04/2020 20:35

@paintfairy It sounds like we're in the same situation...I'm usually around 27 days... currently day 31 no AF. Was hopeful but got a negative test this morning...so now just in a sort of limbo!

paintfairy · 29/04/2020 20:26

I was hoping to join the may bus as I has last month off! But it looks like it'll be the June bus now for me. My AF has gone AWOL! Currently CD 37. (Usually have 26/27 day cycles). I do keep dipping in though.

Newbie0818 · 29/04/2020 19:55

It’s hard isnt it @Adrianoska. I’m trying to not mention it to hubby as I want to surprise him with a positive test. I’ve made a treasure hunt filled with little clues leading to it to put around the house when the day finally comes! I really hope we can both relax soon ✨

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 19:48

@mrsemilyb wow I never get that many highs! That's a good looking list!

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 19:40

@juno231 ah got it! This is mine - very nondescript thus far. Have you started any new supplements? Apparently they can elongate your cycle!

Minster2012 · 29/04/2020 19:15

@ApplePie86 how long have you been TTC? Do you know your cycles well? How long are they usually? It could be just a weird cycle. I have just had an AF 11 days after another but that was the 2nd one after a miscarriage but the 1st was 28 days. I spoke to the nurse on early pregnancy unit & she said it happens often & hormones are weird so I guess I could happen at other times. Or it could be implantation spotting if it’s implanted in an area of bruising maybe. But try not to worry it could be good. When would AF be due?

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 19:06

@mrsemilyb I was expecting a peak today for ovulation on CD13. Click log and then where it says LH test there's a little icon that looks like a square with two lh tests within it!

MrsEmilyB · 29/04/2020 19:00

@coronababy - ahh 2ww buddies hopefully! The homeopath was blummin lovely. She's a doula too! We are going to try and work on my cycle and hormones being more stable and she is sending out some remedies after 1.5 hours of questions!! I'll let you know what she sent when they arrive. She agrees with the calc fluor during the 2ww to support implantation. I got mine from Amazon!

@plantgirl4 @Demi24 - welcome to the best bus in town, ladies! 🚌💜

@RobinRose - sorry girl 😢 be kind to yourself, have a glass of wine and a hot bath!

@juno231 - some people are just so lucky! My goddaughter was concieved from a condom fault! From your LH tests, what day do you usually ovulate? I'm not til about CD 16-18 so don't peak until nearer then. Also, how do you get them all to come up one under the other on Femometer???
