@Sparkl ya I’m still trying too but because of my age, trying for first and 37 next month. If I were younger I probably might take a break but hard to say.

@TerribleImagination I’ve been taking proceive max which is soo expensive but I did conceive the month I started taking them so wasn’t sure Aif related but kept on with it. No luck since January and ran out last week so back on folic acid only but have reordered the proceive. GP says need folic acid only though.

Annny27 · 05/04/2020 10:46

Morning :)

@sparkl i read that thread too and felt a bit judgy people saying "you must be crazy to be carrying on" - it's easy for women with babies already or who have had no fertility issues to make comments like that!! We dtd today on cd7 unprotected and it's unlikely to result in pregnancy as sometimes I have ovulated early enough for cd7 to be the start of fertile week.....so I am not being 100% careful but going forward we wont be DTD unprotected untill after I know I have ovulated (I am still temping)

@terribleimagination yeah I totally understand your reasoning for carrying on :) I just take the seven seas conception tablets and that's it :)

@triedandtestedteacher let us know what your bloods say xx

@scrumdiddly123 yeah I would be wanting another scan considering your hcg has increased!

@leok83 I am glad you refound us :)

*hormonal bloating not normal!

TerribleImagination · 05/04/2020 10:26

@Sparkl I’m cracking on still despite coronavirus... I totally understand why some would delay it though, as it’s such uncertain times both health wise and financially, I just really don’t want to wait. I’ll be 38 in October, so time isn't on my side. Also my close friend is a midwife and she said she wouldn’t be stopping trying if she was in my position.

Question for you all... what conception vitamins do you take, If any? When I first started TTC I was on folic acid only, then got the seven seas trying for baby and took that with omega 3 and that was the month I got pregnant. After the miscarriage though my bloating wouldn’t go down, so I started on 50mg of B6 too (as that used to help normal bloating) and I also added extra vitamin D, that I used to take before I started anyway.

Seeing as I’ve had zero joy with getting pregnant since the MC, I’m thinking of ditching the B6 and Vitamin D and just taking the seven seas and omega 3... wondering if too many vitamins is overkill / trying to hard almost?? Would be interesting to hear what you all do?

Sparkl · 05/04/2020 10:13

@SunnySideUp2020 lucky cycle buddy! Hopefully for both of us this time 🤞

I’ve just been reading a thread questioning whether people should be ttc during Coronavirus situation. Didn’t feel great reading it tbh. I know @Fizzl and @Annny27 were thinking of taking a break. I’m not doing opks and not going to do the smep regularity but at the same time not going to avoid ttc altogether. The only reason I would consider a full break is to have a break from feeling upset at af. What is everyone else thinking about Covid?

Leok83 · 05/04/2020 09:57

Hi @Sparkl! Unfortunately I don’t know about the ovary but definitely MC does mess up cycle lengths from what I’ve seen.

@Fizzl thanks, it’s def easier to keep up when you know everyone’s story alright! And I hear you on appreciating the support on here..other than my DH no one really talks about the MC at all since it happened..probably for fear of upsetting me and also don’t think anyone knows we’re TTC still so it’s nice to talk freely about this stuff here!

Hi @SunnySideUp2020! I’m CD 16 today. On 6th day of flashing smiley CB Opk so looks like a late ovulation for me this month, was same last cycle. Hopefully it’ll be in next couple of days! How are ur opks going?

@triedandtestedteacher hope it’s good news today!

Whiffle77 · 05/04/2020 08:57

I'm the same @Fizzl. My closest friends knew about my MC but because of various other things I have never talked it out with them, so they dont really know what happened or how it left me feeling. I really appreciate being able to blurt it all out here and either have someone feel the same as me, or at least understand exactly why I feel like I do! This whole process can make you feel very lonely, and I've really struggled with it. Plus some stuff about your cycle you are never going to say out loud but it's fine to type her haha!

SunnySideUp2020 · 04/04/2020 20:33

Sorry AF got you @TerribleImagination xx

@sparkle cycle buddy👋👋 in feb and march my cycle buddy got their bfp :)

Did opk today and same as yesterday... i would expect a higher one tomorrow cd12

@triedandtestedteacher hope the blood tomorrow bring good news x 🤞🏽

@Fizzl also really like the idea of having this smaller group here where i know everybody 💐❤️

@Leok83 i remember you 👋 what cycle day are you?

Fizzl · 04/04/2020 19:42

Hi @leok83 glad you've found us! I agree that April thread has gone crazy, so many new ladies on there which is obviously sad as it means so many more have been through what we have. I definitely can't keep up! I feel like we all know each other's story now because we've been around for a few months now 😒 but it does make it easier to keep up with what's happening.

I really appreciate this little support network we have going now. Nobody else really talks to me about things anymore which I get because they probably think I won't want to talk about it now and they leave it up to me if I want to talk but I don't really want to keep bringing it up anymore as they will get fed up of hearing me 😂. Which I guess is all totally normal now time has moved on and everyone was so supportive at the time. So it's nice to still have somewhere to talk and with people who have actually been through the same ☺️.

triedandtestedteacher · 04/04/2020 18:14

@TerribleImagination @Leok83 thank you. I've been for my bloods today. Get results tomorrow so will update then

Sparkl · 04/04/2020 16:48

Hi @Leok83 👋 I had been meaning to go and say hello to you on the other thread, glad you’ve joined here

@Annny27 I would be so so happy to get a bfp before June. My mc was early at 6w so I almost feel like I was never pregnant last year and have been waiting this whole time. Weird change from feeling the loss so strongly.

@Ejb86 I conceived my first easily too, feel so naive that I thought I could wait and have #2 whenever I wanted.

Just wondering if anyone has something similar to this. The cycles I recorded before mc alternated between 27 and 32 days but OV was always around cd15. So I get a way better LP every other month. Since mc I had one long one but mostly around 27 days and then 23. Is it possible to have one dodgy ovary that would affect your cycle length?

TerribleImagination · 04/04/2020 15:25

@triedandtestedteacher Yeah I definitely think you’re right. I also think sometimes our bodies after MC just don’t settle for a while... My periods since have all been different to usual and different to each other!

I’m so sorry you’re having so much trouble with TTC and staying pregnant too 😢

Leok83 · 04/04/2020 15:08

Hi everyone, just found this thread and hoping it’s ok to join?
Have been on threads since January and the April thread moving way too fast for me to catch up with who’s who!

@scrumdiddly123 I’m so sorry to hear ur going through this, hope ur ok.

@triedandtestedteacher hopefully ur spotting is nothing to worry about and you got some reassurance at EPU.

triedandtestedteacher · 04/04/2020 12:07

@TerribleImagination I don't think it's true about being more fertile after a loss. I think I'm pretty fertile in that I've always got 'pregnant' quick. Before I had my daughter we tried for 4 months. I got 'pregnant' on digitals and faint lines on tests all four months then I would get af a few days late. My daughter was the fifth month. This time we got pregnant first month and then I had the mmc. I genuinely expected that I would get pregnant straight away. It's taken three cycles now ( which I know is nothing) but for me ,whose problem has never been the getting pregnant more the staying pregnant, I definitely don't think I was super fertile after the miscarriage.

Whiffle77 · 04/04/2020 09:48

Really sorry @scrumdiddly123 hope you start feeling better soon

scrumdiddly123 · 04/04/2020 09:32

Sorry you’re out @TerribleImagination x

scrumdiddly123 · 04/04/2020 09:31

Thanks @Annny27, yes it’s suspected ectopic as they’ve risen slightly. However as I’m bleeding heavily and hcg is so low they’re happy to leave me. I’m still feeling uneasy and might ring on Monday and ask them to repeat bloods just so we can see if its started to fall. Still getting faint positives

TerribleImagination · 04/04/2020 09:30

It really is @Annny27 😔 I’m so sorry you’ve had this for months after your MC too. I wish none of us were told the ‘you’re more fertile after a loss’ nonsense, cos it’s obviously not a thing! I think some people are just very lucky when they catch soon after 😐

Annny27 · 03/04/2020 23:39

Sorry that AF arrived @terribleimagination sad its rubbish isnt it

@scrumdiddly123 sorry that you are having such a rollercoaster of emotions! Do they think it might be ectopic given that the hcg is rising? Hopefully not xx

@triedandtestedteacher yes best to see what the EPU says, hopefully they can reassure you

@sparkl we have been trying since june 2019 as well! Took 4 months to conceive then was pregnant for 3 months and then have been trying for 3 cycles now onto number 4

TerribleImagination · 03/04/2020 23:20

Thanks @Ejb86 and @Sparkl - how crazy we’ve all had abnormally short cycles?! I really thought this month might have been it too, had some good signs and I allowed myself some hope 😢 Eurgh.

Ejb86 · 03/04/2020 23:11

@TerribleImagination mine was a 23 day cycle too! Never had one of those in my whole life. God knows what is going on with our bodies ladies. Mine is really doing my head in. 6 months on you would hope that everything was settled by now. I was so spoilt by my previous pregnancies happening so easily.

Sparkl · 03/04/2020 23:08

@TerribleImagination sorry you’re out, it’s really shit. I had 23 day cycle for the first time ever too. Maybe it’s lockdown stress?

Sparkl · 03/04/2020 23:05

Hi @Fizzl 👋 I’m in cycle 7 now. I was wondering actually how people are counting time ttc? We started June last year so to me it’s 9 months, but when I saw gp in cycle 4 post mc he said oh you’ve only been trying 3 months so do another 3 and come back then.

What worries me about the short LP is that maybe it was a cause of MC rather than an effect. I wasn’t cycle tracking before. But also worried that my cycle is still out of whack because the cycles I did track were longer than what I’m having now 🤷‍♀️

I hear you on the wine, will definitely be needing it this weekend! We’re taking a break too. Undecided whether it’s a complete break or a let’s try and trick the universe break

TerribleImagination · 03/04/2020 23:05

I’m out for this month 😔😢 AF arrived a day early this evening. 24 day cycle for the first time ever. I don’t know what’s happening with my body... I got pregnant the 2nd month of trying before, but since the MC it’s been 4 months now and nothing... This sucks 😢
