Catching up - ttc after miscarriage part 2

Sorry AF has arrived but good to get the first one out of the way post MC. I generally count first day of cycle as full day with flow. If only spotting then I don’t think it’s counted. From what I’ve googled that seems to be the case anyways!!

@scrumdiddly123 that does sound so confusing, hopefully they will rescan you or at least repeat HCG to see where it’s at, the slow rising numbers and one sided pain would def have made me concerned about an ectopic too but I guess if they couldn’t see anything at the time that’s good.
Had they planned to repeat HCG anyways given it had gone up slightly since the first one?

For my Easter present it seems my first AF has arrived after medicated MC. I’m wiping blood (sorry TMI it hadn’t made it to knickers) I know a lot of you ladies said the first is longer, do you still count it as CD1 from today or the end of AF? Thank you

@leok83 I don’t even know if I’ve had a miscarriage, it’s all so confusing. Here’s what’s happened so far..

23rd March BFP- first cycle after MC so was unsure of dates
31st March- scan at EPU as I’d had strong left sided pain and some bleeding. I thought I was 5 weeks but They couldn’t find the pregnancy so took some blood and HCG came back as 29
2nd April- repeat blood test and HCG was 33. As this was such a slow rise and I’d been bleeding they said it was probably a miscarriage and retest in 2 weeks. I queried ectopic but they said unlikely as it was so low but to ring if I had any symptoms of ectopic.
Since then my bleeding slowed right down and stopped on the 6th (nowhere near as much bleeding as I’ve had with my other MCs and no pain).
My tests have been positive the whole time since I first got a positive on 23rd. They did seem to be getting lighter but then today and yesterday they’re darker again.
The blood that came back ok was just the hormone levels etc that the GP requested a while ago as id had 2 miscarriages (this will be the third).
So thats it so far, literally driving me insane. I just want to see a negative test so we can start trying again!

@scrumdiddly123 that sounds so confusing, I really hope they get to the bottom of it soon. What date was the MC? The 23rd of March was long enough ago to be getting a new BFP so could it possibly be that? Were your HCG levels checked on the last bloods where they said everything was ok?

Ahhh @scrumdiddly123 I'm so sorry this is dragging out for you! So frustrating. I would definitely ring epu for some advice and see what they say, I would think they would've known by now if it was ectopic (hopefully!)

Definitely not a new pregnancy as we’ve only DTD once since my BFP on 23rd March and that was only a few days ago.
No idea if it’s retained products as they couldn’t locate the pregnancy on my last scan so haven’t even confirmed if it is/was a miscarriage. My main concern is that it’s ectopic 😒
I would be 7 weeks tomorrow based on when I last OV’d- the whole thing is so confusing and that’s what’s annoying me the most! I just want to know what on earth is going on x

@scrumdiddly are you sure you don’t have any retained product?
Or that it’s not a new pregnancy?

@Minster2012 my HCG increase was too slow for there to be anything viable I think. I’ve been waiting patiently for the faint lines to disappear and now this! It’s as dark as it was before I started bleeding and had my scan 11 days ago.
I had to ring the gynae ward last weekend as I was worried and they said there was no one to scan me until Monday so pretty sure it will be the e same. I’ll probably ring just to double check though.

And typical it’s bank holiday so can’t even ring EPU til Tuesday. I feel like crying I don’t want this to drag on any longer

Oh @Ejb86 what crap timing! I’m sorry. My twin sister found out she was pregnant the same week I did with my first miscarriage back in October. She’s now 30 weeks and I am happy for her but it’s very hard not to feel sad too x

So sorry @Ejb86 I had thr same thing 2 weeks after my MC, my brother told me they were pregnant and due a few weeks before I would've been. It's very hard, and I had all these emotions like I was meant to be having my parents first grandchild not them etc. Let yourself cry it out, hope you feel a lot better today

Slightly later ovulation than usual so hoping this doesn’t mean an extra short LP, every day counts!

@Ejb86 Eurgh that’s such terrible timing I’m so sorry!! I had the exact same thing a couple of months ago, and my sister in law is due 10 days before I should have been... I’m still struggling to be excited about it...

In theory you could say I’m in TWW too but hearing in mind it’s the first one after MC & I’ve no idea when I ovulated or if I did or if we DTD Anywhere close but hey that’s just TTC naturally I guess before AF kicks in 🤷‍♀️!

In theory it could happen right! But highly unlikely!

@SunnySideUp2020 just entered mine too..4DPO and counting down the days already! Prob will try and wait to test until Sunday week if I can hold out that long..probably not though😄
Symptom spotting started already even though I swore I’d just not think about it!🤦‍♀️

@Ejb86 Do you ever take B6? I used to take it for bloating and water retention (before I started TTC) and for some reason stopped before we started trying. I started on 50mg of B6 (on top of the seven seas trying for a baby) mid Feb and was going to stop taking everything but seven seas and omega 3 this month, until I read up about successes on higher doses of B6.

Could be total coincidence for these people, but I’m gonna give 100mg of B6 a try this month, to see if it increases my luteal phase, as it’s been shortening a day each month since the MC 😐 It was 11 days this month, which is less than I’m used to! Plus the way my periods start these days (spotting basically) is making me think I could do with the extra B6... I thought of you too cos we both had a weird short cycle this month!

I'm ok thanks @Sparkl. It just really hit me that we won't be having a baby this year despite all of our trying. My messed up cycles are driving me around the bend, feel like I have no control over anything at the moment. I am taking control of our house though, started a cleaning regime. Have spent all week cleaning the house and will be following the Organised Mum Method from now on.

Evening all, just catching up! @Ejb86 hope you’re feeling better, the announcements are so hard. I know others might have had a hard time conceiving too but just makes me want it for us so much more.

@scrumdiddly123 hope you’re doing ok, I had some blood tests too and almost wished there was something wrong because at least there’s be an explanation then. But it’s obviously good news at the same time.

@SunnySideUp2020 6 days straight is impressive! We’re doing way less this cycle and it does feel like less of a strain but I’m hoping we’re not going to miss a chance!

@Annny27 it’s so hard to switch off from reading the signals even on a ‘relaxed’ cycle 🙃
