Great news @scrumdiddly123 really pleased they have agreed to see you, really hope you get some answers
Hi @MilsCookie sorry you are having a rough time! It's a really tough time to be wanting to be pregnant/be pregnant, just seems like anxiety on top of anxiety! Hope that maybe taking a little bit of pressure off yourself this month will have helped (regardless of the outcome). Ttc is hard on the body and the mind!

MilsCookie · 13/04/2020 14:14

@scrumdiddly123 that's brilliant news - so pleased they were able to book you in so soon. It's been 4 months since my MMC now. Can't quite believe it. I've now not been pregnant for longer than I was pregnant and due date is fast approaching which makes me feel sad :-( Fingers crossed for you tomorrow, let us know how you get on. Will be thinking of you xxx

Minster2012 · 13/04/2020 14:00

So pleased you’ve got a scan booked @Scrumdiddly123 to get answers 🤞🏻

scrumdiddly123 · 13/04/2020 13:53

Bless you @MilsCookie it’s so hard isn’t it! How long since your MC? Hopefully taking the pressure off this month will help! It’s so hard though to not do or think about all the things you usually do!

scrumdiddly123 · 13/04/2020 13:47

Rang epu and left a message on the off chance they were open today and they’ve just rang back! Got to go first thing tomorrow for another scan. So pleased I might actually get to the bottom of what’s happening!

MilsCookie · 13/04/2020 13:37

Hey ladies - just popping on to say hello really and I hope you're all okay!

@scrumdiddly123 I'm so sorry you're still stuck in this limbo. I really hope you've actually not had a mc if you're still getting those strong positives! Sending positive vibes xxx

Great to hear from @ChampooPapi and @FireflyGirl - glad you're both doing well in your pregnancies. Although sorry you're feeling so sick Champoo!

We've been a bit all over the place this cycle in terms of what we're doing. I had a bit of a breakdown during my period and DP basically said we should take a month off ttc. I didn't want to and got really grumpy saying he'll have to buy some condoms then! To which he was like 'we might change our minds in 2 weeks time...' argh! So anyway we kind of left it that I won't be using OPKs, tracking my cycle (although that's impossible as it is now INGRAINED in me and I can't just forget what day I'm on!), taking vitamins (except folic acid), tilting hips after sex or any of the stuff I usually do! But we've still been having unprotected sex so I'm hoping we've just taken the pressure off a bit this month. I've lost all hope though now and just feel like I'll never be pregnant again :-( I just can't imagine it. Sorry to be on a downer!

I hope you're all okay though. Lots of love xxxxxxx

@Leok83 I am temping too but they're also all over the place. I can't do it accurately enough because between my dog waking me up during the night when she needs to go out (sometimes 2 times a night 😩) and my husband coming in from work at all hours and disturbing me/talking to me (and then I inevitably have to get up to use the toilet 😂)I think it throws it off too much. I'll stick with it though to see if I see an obvious jump over the next day or so. It is mostly hovering around 36.4 and hasn't gone higher than that this cycle yet so I'll see if it goes up tomorrow

Leok83 · 13/04/2020 11:12

@Fizzl have you ever contemplated temping? I found the first month I did opks without temping it stressed me out cause like you I didn’t really get a peak (changed opk brand to the easy@home this month and it’s the first time I got a real peak actually!). Started temping the following month and it’s pretty easy and stress free I find and at least puts my mind at ease that I know when I’ve ovulated. It’s not for everyone though but if ur worried about when you ovulating and ur opks are a bit vague it can definitely be a huge help.

Fizzl · 13/04/2020 10:58

Actually now I think about it yesterday's wasn't fmu as I'd woken up about 6am. Today's definitely was though.

Fizzl · 13/04/2020 10:57

Thanks guys. Yes the strong lines are fmu as that's usually the only time I get anything close to a positive. I've never found opk's great, I never used to get an obvious positive but there was always a progression and then the lines would fade again so I assumed i was ovulating (and when I fell pregnant that confirmed it) so I have no idea what's happening now. I feel my body is just playing cruel tricks on me since mc and I thought by now everything would be back to normal. I'll take today as positive and I'll keep testing to see what happens. Fingers crossed my cycle is longer this month otherwise my luteal phase is gona be waaaaay to short 🙄

Leok83 · 13/04/2020 10:51

@SunnySideUp2020 oh ya I’ve been poking my boobs since I ovulated in the hopes they’d be sore but nothing! Also wondering how on earth I’ll make it to next weekend without testing first..7dpo and wondering if that’s too early even though I know the answer😄! How about you?

SunnySideUp2020 · 13/04/2020 10:19

@Sparkl @Leok83 have you started symptom spotting? Or too early?
😅😅

SunnySideUp2020 · 13/04/2020 10:11

@Fizzl are the morning ones fmu?
Because i found with doing fmu completely inaccurate results so i just do it around same midday/early afternoon so you i get a better idea of variations... i had this time an almost positive and then a drop in the late afternoon though. So sometimes it does that 🤦🏻‍♀️
As @scrumdiddly123 said i would class the second peak as peak. But dtd now !!!

Whiffle77 · 13/04/2020 09:51

Opks drive me mad @Fizzl - I would never get a strong peak and they would go up and down in terms of strength, it was quite frustrating! I just kept dtd regardless but I know that doesn't help you. Perhaps the lighter ones were when you had drunk a lot more water or been to the loo a lot more recently? Or the sticks weren't as sensitive - I found on mine sometimes the control line (and therefore the test line) would be different strengths which is very odd. I also think we often try to turn these sticks and testing and temping into an exact science which it isn't designed to be...theres so many variables!!

scrumdiddly123 · 13/04/2020 09:45

Morning @Fizzl, hmm that is strange! I’ve never had that before but if I ever get a peak over 2 days I record the later one as the true peak! No idea why it would get so faint though and then back up!

Fizzl · 13/04/2020 09:36

Here's the photos from the app. Yesterday morning and today's morning are almost identical. I think there's a slight difference in the lighting on the photos. Ignore the numerous pictures from the same stick 😂 I like to test the app out to see if if keeps giving similar readings!

Fizzl · 13/04/2020 09:31

Hi all 😊 hope everyone is well and enjoying all the chocolate from yesterday!

Sorry you're still in limbo @Scrumdiddly123.

I don't know if anyone has any words of wisdom on this mystery. I'm still opk'ing to try and help me keep an eye on my luteal phase. Yesterday morning I had two blazing strong lines which I thought were positive (and definitely around when I should be ovulating, normally day 17-18 and yesterday was CD18). Tested again a couple of times yesterday and it went back to being almost stark white negative (even after holding off going to the toilet for a long time) so I thought I'd caught my surge and it was just really short. Tested again this morning to be on the safe side and two blazing red lines again! I'm so confused 🤯 if they had stayed positive (or almost positive and not stark white) I'd understand. Any suggestions or ideas?

Leok83 · 12/04/2020 22:17

@scrumdiddly123 you are not moaning at all! And definitely take some chocolate..you deserve it!!

Minster2012 · 12/04/2020 20:32

If you bought it then it’s fair game surely @scrumdiddly123!!

scrumdiddly123 · 12/04/2020 20:02

Oh yes my three got plenty of chocolate today, wonder if they’ll notice if I share 😆

Minster2012 · 12/04/2020 19:09

Don’t be ridiculous @scrumdiddly123, that’s what we are for! 🤞🏻🤞🏻You get answers, not too long now, & in mean time there’s always chocolate!
I’m pleased to get AF, least it kickstarts my system & I know where I am!

scrumdiddly123 · 12/04/2020 18:17

Thanks @Leok83 and @Minster2012, sorry for moaning! I can’t do anything just wait for EPU to reopen on Tuesday and request another blood test at least! So going to try and just forget about it for now. Hope you’re both ok, sorry that AF has arrived minster! I hope it’s not too bad for you after your MC. At least now you’ll know exactly where you are with your cycle x

Minster2012 · 12/04/2020 11:34

Great thank you @Leok83 I’ve got no idea on my cycles as only ever had one period before our IVF which worked as was on chemo for so long & therefore contraception so I’m just going to try & DTD every other day after first week & try & use OPKs to track & get a handle on cycle now MC seems to have kickstarted it again 🤞🏻

Leok83 · 12/04/2020 11:27

@Minster2012 I’m not actually too sure but don’t think so. I know a lot of people have slightly delayed ovulation though in the next cycle. Mine was 3-4 days late last cycle and I also had spotting right up to ovulation after AF.

Minster2012 · 12/04/2020 11:16

Thank you @Leok83 will likely be tomorrow then, does it make a difference to ovulation if a period is longer? No idea if it will be just thinking ahead!!
