AF due today, still BFN. Anyone else?

Hi ladies,
AF was due today, and still testing BFN. I used a First Detection Early Response for my SMU. Right now I should be around 13-14 DPO. Am I out for this cycle? My cervix is still high, and soft. My CM has changed over the two days, it went from white "lotiony" consistency to now more watery. Is this something anyone else experienced before getting BFP?
I have had a few other symptoms of early pregnancy: I am feeling a twinge in my lower right pelvic side, I am a bit dizzy, intense thirst, and my body temperature is about a degree higher than normal. Maybe I am symptom spotting, but hopefully someone else had something similar.
Thanks

Im definitely not imagining it, these pains in my left hand side are still there! Sort of a twisting, poking stabbing feeling. Really odd, I can't remember feeling this before. Too late for implantation though surely?!

Maise24 · 21/03/2020 11:34

@Pinkhan135 those symptoms do sound promising! I'm also a Nurse, I think you've done the right thing by speaking to your manager about your concerns although try not to put yourself under too much stress about it! The risk of covid is much more related to mothers and babies in later stage pregnancy. The TTC journey can be a long one so I know its hard but best to try not to let the TWW get the best of you and give you such anxiety! Let us know how you get on, have you tested again? Hope you are feeling better x

Any news from anyone else?? I'm CD 32 now, usually my cycle is 31 days although I did have a freak one off 40 day cycle a few months ago... which is making me not want to get my hopes up now as I remember well the pain of doing a test every day for 9 days and hoping it would be my BFP!

In terms of symptoms now, I haven't had any af type cramps since last night. I felt really sick after eating nandos last night (maybe too much halloumi Grin however had the same thing again this morning. I had a couple of sharp twinge type feelings in my lower left hand side yesterday but thats about it. No sign of the shooting boob pain again. Very 'wet' this morning (sorry, tmi!) and lots of watery discharge but absolutely no sign of AF.

I really don't want to get my hopes up and see another BFN in a few days time, but It would be so lovely to see that BFP that we have been waiting for so long for! I almost feel like I will never see one!

Looking forward to hearing how you are getting on ladies, fingers crossed for you all Flowers

I hope you get your BFP but im in same boat to. Im 3 days late for AF and gave TTC a miss this month due to covid. I think its a stressful situation at the moment and we are worrying which is delaying us. Xx

peachypetite · 21/03/2020 07:51

@Purplezinger when is your period due?

Purplezinger · 21/03/2020 02:46

@murphs2 any news yet? Being stuck in quarantine while waiting for a bfp is like some special type of mental torture lol.

@Maise24 I got a negative with a boots test yesterday too!

Purplezinger · 20/03/2020 23:28

@maise24 yes, It was creamy then went more watery as the time af was suppose to show up. I am now three days late, and I am seeing it becoming more creamy again. Cervix seems higher now, and it's still soft.
I have only two more FRER, and I think I might wait to take one of those next Tuesday (when it will be a week).
@Pinkhan135 a day before AF was due I had similar symptoms, shakey and sweaty, my body temperature is about a degree higher than normal. Hopefully this a good sign for us ;)

Hello ladies... looking for advice (I’m a newbie on mumsnet so please bare with me!)
Came off my pill jan 31st this year. Had my withdrawal bleed/ period. I’m currently now 14 DPO. Having really horrid symptoms in the last 24hr. At 0300 in the morning I was sat on toilet feeling extremely nauseas but not sick, felt shakey, sweaty lots and like I wanted to faint. This lasted 1hr and went back to bed with paracetamol and a hot water bottle. All day today I’ve been feeling cranky, crampy and swollen tummy. I’ve just taken a FRER test and there’s a very very very faint line. I would send a piccy but don’t think I can yet as a newbie.
Due my period in few days.... so will wait and see if Mother Nature come, but what is everyone’s thoughts?
I’ve also been so anxious at work today as
I’m a front line nurse; I’ve informed my Manager of what’s been going on today as worrying about covid 19!
Thank you all! XxxFlowers

@Purplezinger I'm not sure I've had a fertility work up xrays bloods, scan before the whole virus thing started and have a nurse that I emailed yesterday. She didn't seem over concerned about my late period and negative tests no advice she could really give me. To be honest the nhs has a lot going on and I feel abit selfish chasing this up. She did however say in the email that further testing and treatment have been put on hold, so unlike to be offered any bloods etc.

I would think a negative this later, means I'm definitely not pregnant

Maise24 · 20/03/2020 16:28

I've just realised that the boots test I used only detects 50mlU/hCG compared to the 15-25 of FRER... hmmm...

Maise24 · 20/03/2020 16:05

@Purplezinger fingers crossed for you! I think I will do a FRER in a few days also. Saying that, I'm under isolation and don't have any in so at least I'll be forced to await if I order one online Grin

I've also seen on your original post that you had white creamy CM which has now gone watery - that is very similar to what I am experiencing now so hopefully it is a good sign!?

Sending you lots of baby dust ladies xx

peachypetite · 20/03/2020 15:52

@Maise24 still no period. I’ll try and wait a few days longer.

Purplezinger · 20/03/2020 15:44

@RJ44 I tested this AM, still BFN. I tested again with a cheapie one though. I am getting so impatient, I just want to know so I can get in the mindset I need to. I will test again next Tuesday, and I will get a FRER. By then it will be one week, and after reading online there 11% of women get a late BFP. Hoping I am one of them.
@maise24 I understand your frustration, ttc can be long and stressful.
@murphs2 any luck this morning?
@babybumpfor2020 oh wow thats awful long time to wait for AF. I know it's chaotic out in the world right now, but at what point are you going to do blood work?

Maise24 · 20/03/2020 09:15

@peachypetite It can't hurt, from what other people have said they seem to be quite reliable although often people don't get BFP for a while after their missed period!

We are in the same boat then, expecting our AF today. I think I will buy a FRER and do that in 3 days if my af hasnt arrived. A few months ago, I was 7 days late for no apparent reason and like a mad woman was testing every morning with an expensive test. If I continue to be late I will limit myself to every 3 days!

peachypetite · 20/03/2020 09:08

It’s due today but I always have spotting about four days before and feel crampy etc. Do you think I should get a first response test

Maise24 · 20/03/2020 09:02

@peachypetite how frustrating!! How many days late are you? These are stressful times.. .hope you are ok x

peachypetite · 20/03/2020 08:58

Still no period today nor any spotting! I’ve been feeling so stressed though that that’s probably why.

Maise24 · 20/03/2020 08:28

Hi @RJ44 thank you... that gives me hope Flowers I am stuck self isolating now and don't have any more decent tests, so may order a FRER onine and do it in a few days.

Sorry to sound so dramatic, it is just such a soul crushing journey seeing those BFN's. My partner is quite relaxed about it all and I think is quite worried / frustrated when I get so upset, so I've started keeping the BFN's to myself which I don't think is helping!

I can't wait to finally show him a BFP.... We want a little one so much. I never thought I would be 10 months down the line still trying... guess it just goes to show that it takes longer than you think.

Would love to hear some success stories from you ladies to keep my hopes up!

RJ44 · 20/03/2020 08:18

Hi @Maise24 sorry you're having such a tough time! I didn't get a BFP until I was around 3 days late, and that was with a FRER! So don't give up yet. Your symptoms sound really promising - I've got my fingers crossed for you Thanks

Maise24 · 20/03/2020 08:10

Hello everyone

Hope you don't mind me joining in! How are you all getting on? We are TTC baby number 1 and this will be our 10th cycle. I am CD 32 today, my cycles usually range from 30 - 33 days.

I had been getting some different symptoms this TWW - I had sharp pains in my right hand side, shooting pains in the side of my boobs and big waves of nausea over the past few days. I also have been having tons of white creamy CM, feeling very 'wet' - sorry TMI! I was expecting AF today, based on my loose interpretation of when I ovulated. I really felt this might be our month, however caved and did a boots cheapie test this morning with FMU and it was a BFN. Honestly I felt so despondent I got back into bed and was shaking trying not to cry.

I just feel so fed up, I know 10 months isnt the longest time but everytime I see a BFN it breaks my heart!! I recently went to the doctors as my periods had become very light after my copper coil removal... they checked my hormone levels, iron, thyroid - everything all fine, did a TVS and checked my uterine lining, no concerns, lots of eggs, no cysts, no fibriods... I just don't know where we are going wrong! I'm convinced my fallopian tubes must be blocked or similar.

Sorry that was such a rant but I am just feeling so low... I really thought I might be looking at my first BFP this morning. Should I bother testing again??

RJ44 · 20/03/2020 07:48

Good luck this morning @Purplezinger @murphs2 Smile

peachypetite · 20/03/2020 07:42

Me too I don’t want to be pregnant anymore :(

babybumpfor2020 · 20/03/2020 06:26

Hey all

Currently on cycle day 45 normally 28-32, all spark white bfn. No sign of af either just want her to show her ugly face now

Right01 · 20/03/2020 02:20

Hi!! I usually have 22-23 day cycles and im currently on day 26, AF was due on monday tested today and BFN. Trying not to symptom spot but nausea and my eczema is through the roof, boobs were sore until tuesday but now they are fine. Sending baby dust to all!! xx

peachypetite · 19/03/2020 18:51

I don’t know to be honest. I feel incredibly anxious. I don’t really want to be pregnant at the moment. And I’ll stop ttc if period comes. Thing is I usually have spotting several days before my period and there is nothing. I have weird twingy/pulling sensation on both sides in my pelvic area. I don’t know what to think.
