@MayDay27 depends how long your fertile window is mines 5 days yet I only get the positive ovulation test the day before I ovulate so that's technically on my 4th fertile day, hopefully it starts to darken over the next couple of days x

@Maidmummy I'll do the same the DP will be thrilled haha should I be worried at all that I've had a negative test yesterday but my app says I should be in my fertile window today? I've never tested before and so don't even know if I ovulate as normal, I suppose I was expecting to be showing some kind of positive and feel a bit worried now it wasn't

@MayDay27 the surge typically only happens once, once you get the positive opk it's indicating that you may be ovulating in the next 24-48 hours so start having sex once you get that positive opk and the days leading up to it, ideally you want the sperm up there waiting before the egg releases, I'm doing the sperm meets egg plan which has great success and it advises having sex every other day until you get a positive opk once you have your positive have sex 3 days in a row miss a day then do it one last time. Any time of the day is fine I got my positive opk in the morning around 10am and didn't have sex until 10pm that night x

@Maidmummy thank you! Testing two times a day may mean having to do so at work haha sorry for another question but are you trying to test for the surge so you can have sex right at that moment or is sometime that day fine? Just when you say the surge comes and goes

@MayDay27 it's best to test 2 times a day in case you miss your surge they generally recommend 10am to no later than 8pmnanf not to use first morning urine as it can give out a false result. If you are most fertile on Tuesday then your test should be positive Sunday/monday. To tag people if you put the @ sign before you type their name a drop down box will appear and just pick the one you want from the list x

My negative test yesterday

Maidmummy I've only tested once so far yesterday and I think it was negative, I'll post a photo (could someone also let me know how to tag people?) my Ovia app says my fertile window starts today and I am most fertile on Tuesday, does that then mean I should see my most positive ovulation test on the Tuesday? I am a bit overwhelmed with all the info! Fingers crossed for you in 9 days!! I've read a lot about the TWW but have never been in one I know I'm going to be so impatient!

@MayDay27 with the ovulation test most women usually see a fade in pattern where the line gradually gets darker every day until they get an unmistakable positive, how many times a day do you test and me personally I don't stop testing after what I think is a positive, I got a positive on CD 16 both lines were exactly the same colour but turned out it wasn't my surge as I kept testing and got a blazing positive on cd20 and the next day my cervix was SHOW and had all my usual ovulation pains so I would advise just to keep testing, good luck x

Thanks for the info on the sticks I'll try it out tonight! I've been tracking from the end of December which is when I had my first period after having stopped the pill and having a withdrawal bleed. I think I've been pretty regular as in I have had a period around the end of each month since December. How would I work out the length of my cycles? My last period end of Feb was longer than usual but I know it can take a while to get back to being regular, I've been on contraption for maybe 12 years so I don't know what's normal anymore!

My af is due tomorrow, i don't have any symptoms but i am extremely tired and low in energy... so she is around the corner!
We are in Thailand! We got here this morning (local time) and have bee resting a bit and hanging around my dads.

Just read you have no instructions so assuming they are just the strips I'd dip them for around 10 seconds then read the result within 10 minutes x

@MayDay27 dpo stands for days past ovulation and in regards to the ovulation tests you want to wee in a clean cup/container dip the test for the amount of time it says on the instructions wait the amount of minutes is says to wait and if it's positive the test line needs to be darker or the same darkness as the control line, negative is if the test line is lighter than the control line, hope that helps x

Hi guys can I join? It's out first time TTC. I've been on the forum a little while but I've seen how much it helps having people to talk to going through the same thing! Ovia says my fertile window starts tomorrow. Could I ask a couple of questions! What is 4dp or a number then dp? Also I have bought some sticks to test ovulation but not sure how they work! Do you wee into something and then put them in or just wee on them?! They don't come with instructions! I came off the pill in November to let my body get use to it and seem to have fairly regular periods, it's all so much more confusing than I remember it from high school sex education!!

Hi all can I jump on, got this blazer yesterday so today is my ovulation day and will officially be in the 2ww tomorrow. Having lots of heaviness in the uterus area which is normal for me during ovulation and we BD yesterday and planning on bding again tonight, hopefully that covers us x
