@Annny27 thank you, that's comforting to hear actually, it's so difficult to remain positive but not get hopes up too much! 14dpo today so should know either way soon enough
How's things with you?

Annny27 · 17/05/2020 08:59

@lizzie198 sorry that AF arrived:( you have a positive attitude 💗 that's so true, atleast you now know whats slightly normal for you in the tww.

@Etonmess20 when I was pregnant I had quite strong cramps around 13-19 dpo so doesn't mean that you are out

Etonmess20 · 17/05/2020 08:08

@lizzie198 really sorry to hear that ☹️

Still no sign for me but ovia isn't predicting it until tomorrow. Cramps coming & going.

Hopefully this cycle is the one for you 🤞🏻

lizzie198 · 17/05/2020 07:24

@Etonmess20 got fingers crossed for
You.

I'm definitely out. Af has arrived this morning.

Onto next cycle but hopefully with less symptom spotting as now I know they are normal 😊

Etonmess20 · 16/05/2020 21:51

@Annny27 I was feeling like I wanted to test earlier but I keep getting cramps on & off 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have read that some people still do get cramps but feel like I'm just clutching at straws
Glad you're managing to stay sane, how you feeling? Any symptoms?

Annny27 · 16/05/2020 20:19

@Etonmess20 tempted to test?

Annny27 · 16/05/2020 20:19

Evening ladies :) 7dpo here and managing to keep sane!

@kiza sorry to hear AF arrived :( :( but thats great news that your acupuncturist has opened back up again. Has there been any word in your IVF start?

@Teadrinker30 welcome :) we have been ttc for 11 months. We conceivef after 4 months but had a mmc at 12 weeks in November and now this is our 5th cycle trying after miscarriage

@lizzie198 sorry it was a bfn this morning. That was a cruel evap yesterday then :(

@Narwhal88 I haven't looked into acupuncture costs yet - is it pricey then?

@Lottiepink yeah I am loving wfh! We won't be going back to the office for a bit yet so will probably be another month minimum of wfh

Teadrinker30 · 16/05/2020 14:37

Also fingers crossed for you on your next cycle Xx

Teadrinker30 · 16/05/2020 14:36

Lizzie198, haven't been on the pill for nearly 2 years.. So who knows.. I barely have what I'd call a proper period (body weight is all normal etc).. Guess we all just have to keep positive and one day we will get there..one way or another!

I'd be interested to know how long all you ladies have been TTC for and what your journeys have been up to know? Xx

Kiza · 16/05/2020 14:20

@Narwhal88 yeah I completely understand and I only chose to do it after a year of slightly irregular cycles and issues with spotting. It really helped so I stopped, after a few months problems came back so now definitely going back. Also I need to prepare for IVF. Accupuncture helps with guys issues too so he could go?

Narwhal88 · 16/05/2020 13:33

@kiza I really want to try acupuncture but just not sure about the cost 😬 especially when my cycle is regular and if my DH is the only issue if it will actually help! I think if we end up doing IVF I may try it though.

Kiza · 16/05/2020 12:18

@lizzie198 I've had Accupuncture a few times (eczema and fertility) and I can honestly it works. I'm pretty sensitive so feel the bizarre 'dull ache' with Accupuncture I ask them not to 'twizzle' the needles as I can't stand the sensation (they twizzle them to connect to your energy). The needles going in don't hurt at all as they are so thin, it's just a bizarre feeling when it connects to your energy but that sensation settles within 30 seconds and then your left to relax and there is zero pain. I use that time to visual myself pregnant and my uterus being a place filled with loving energy and a beautiful place for my future child to be (can you tell I'm a hippie! 😆).

lizzie198 · 16/05/2020 11:31

@Kiza thank you although I've been getting cramping last few mornings for a little bit then it eases off but pretty sure AF is on its way so I'll be joining you next month.

Think the test yesterday was probably just an Evap or fault but it was a nice feeling while it lasted lol 😊

I've always been tempted by acupuncture as have a few joint issues but the needles thing puts me off. Do you feel any discomfort when they put them in?

Kiza · 16/05/2020 11:16

Morning ladies, so a fertility acupuncturist reached out to me to let me know they are back up and running so maybe worth asking around for anyone who is interested.
AF arrived in full flow today so onto cycle 21 for sure!
Welcome @Teadrinker30, hope the chat with your mum goes well and we are definitely not stopping trying after so long. I just ignore people's comments of 'corona babies' 🙄 we have been trying for over a yeah and half, and have been told there's no reason why we can't get pregnant but have also been referred for IVF. I know it's disheartening at times but I hear success stories all the time so try to hang on to those.

@lizzie198 good luck for tomorrow's testing

@Narwhal88 nice to hear from you ☺️
@Lottiepink Ashwaghanda is one of those 'hippie' supps so most clinical doctors don't know much about it. It's for reducing toxins in the body as oxidative stress causes issue for both men and woman so we take it for that as my Accupuncturist recommended it a long time ago. It's kind of in the same bracket as Maca root, western doctors don't believe in its efficacy so up to you really.

lizzie198 · 16/05/2020 11:14

@Teadrinker30 that's really good about your positive, where you on the pill or anything before you started TTC?

My doctor told me it can take 12
Months or more for some ladies cycles to settle properly if they've been on it for a while.

Fingers crossed you get your bfp soon and I'm sure your mum will be really pleased and happy to support you through this xx

Teadrinker30 · 16/05/2020 10:21

Thanks @narwhal88 and @orangeloo! Bizarrely I got my first peak on clear blue this morning! Literally just after I posted that message. I think you're both right re my mum and I'll have the chat with her 😊. Fingers crossed for you and all the ladies on here that we get a BFP soon... So glad I've got some people who understand and don't say things like "just stop trying and it will happen" haha Xx

orangeloo · 16/05/2020 09:28

Welcome @Teadrinker30 I agree with @Narwhal88 I think it might be good to share with your mum. Also it's no one else's business when a couple want to have a baby. And I don't think covid should stop anyone - Especially those trying before it hit. Hopefully all our BFP's are round the corner.

Narwhal88 · 16/05/2020 08:36

Welcome @Teadrinker30 👋🏼 sometimes it can just take a year or more so I think it's positive that so far all your tests are normal. There have been a few BFPs on this thread that have taken over a year. I think it would be a good idea to share with your mum, especially since she went through IVF so will have a very good idea what you are going through. What makes you think she would tell you it's the wrong time? Lots of people have demanding jobs with children and if you've been trying a year then that was way before covid (I also don't think we should be letting covid stop us trying either!)

Teadrinker30 · 16/05/2020 08:10

My mum went through 3 rounds of IVF to have me and i feel guilty I haven't told her about my issues... Just worry eveyrone will tell me its not the right time to be having a baby etc! We're renting at the moment and I've got a demanding job.. I've always wanted to be a mum though..

Teadrinker30 · 16/05/2020 08:08

@Etonmess20 thanks! So we've been TTC for just over a year now, I'm turning 30 in June and OH is 26. I've had the hormononal blood tests because I feared I wasn't ovulating, every period I've had in the last year was super light! However all tests came back normal and showed I was ovulating. My OH has had a sperm test, again came back normal. I've been using the clear blue fertility monitor for over 2 months and still it hasn't showed a peak...anyone else had the same? I've got a telephone consultation on the 25th June with a fertility specialist so now anxiously awaiting that. Just concerted it's all unexplained.. I also haven't told anyone we know that we're TTC so it feels like a huge worry that I can't share.

Etonmess20 · 15/05/2020 13:55

Hi @Teadrinker30 welcome! What's your story so far?

Teadrinker30 · 15/05/2020 13:38

Hello! Mind if I join this thread?

Etonmess20 · 15/05/2020 11:40

Good luck @lizzie198 keep us updated. Got me fingers crossed for you x

lizzie198 · 15/05/2020 11:39

Thanks everyone I've ordered 2 more FRER's from Amazon for tomorrow and if AF not arrived will do one on Sunday morning 😊

Got fingers crossed for everyone else be lovely to see some bfps xx

Narwhal88 · 15/05/2020 10:30

@Anny27 had the tiniest amount so far today, but sometimes it starts like that so not hopeful!

@Lottiepink I've done the lottery 3 times this week 🤣🤣

@lizzie198 I can see something very faint on the cheapie but it could be an indent. Just wait a few days as like others have said it may be too early. I never even test now for this reason and I can't bare to see negative tests! Don't think I've used a test in 6 months!
