@Annny27 Really good that you pushed and you've saved yourself a whole year of waiting! I really do think with fertility you have to be your own advocate and keep pushing for things and checking things yourself. It's sad but necessary. Did they say what your next steps would be?

@kiza amazing that you have got your clinic letter and that they are prioritising on age. Hopefully once they open again you can get cracking straight away!

@Lottiepink glad you have your next appointment. It always makes it more bearable having a target date in kind to know you are moving forward. The limbo is awful.

I found the email address of our consultants secretary (via our trust email address book!) and asked her when things were restarting and when my appointment might be rebooked. She said they are rebooking cancelled appointments from 12th June and SA testing is hopefully starting from 22nd June. My husband has a second appointment in August but she is gonna move his to match my new one when I get it through. She was very helpful and it's good now to have a date in mind of when things can get going.

I did a medichecks blood test today - day 3 FSH and oestrogen and AMH. It's a finger prick test so you have to prick your finger and collect the blood in a little test tube. It took 3 fingers to get enough blood! I have bruises on each fingertip which made it hard to type all day and hold a pen! I keep accidentally picking things up too hard as well 🤣 the things we go through!

@Annny27 that's brill, least you pushed on and got a second opinion from another doctor 😊 hope you feel a little better about it all now 🙂

@Kiza yes really pleased just to have a date in the diary to be honest, puts my mind at ease tbh. That's brilliant about the clinic, I really hope it all goes ahead for you, and the sooner the better! Surely they wouldn't leave you out when you were so close 🤞🏻🙂

I've been in such a mood today, I'm cd10, and feel really tired and ratty. I looked back and I normally record the same at some point between cd8-10. So funny how your mood can change with hormones 😂😂 my poor dh today 🤣🤣

@kiza yeah the gp was really shocked that the other one had said 2 years! That's great news as well that they hope to prioritise based on age. Fingers crossed for that 2021 baby 🤞🤞🤞

@Annny27 that's great that you've now been referred but bloody annoying when GP's do that as our 1st one did that also!

@Lottiepink great that you've got an appointment booked and your clinic is now on the way to reopening.

Got a letter from the IVF clinic acknowledging our referral but our fertility consultant hadn't sent all the necessary documents. So I called the IVF clinic manager who was lovely and said they are still some weeks away from reopening and are waiting to hear from CCG if they will allow treatment past 40, she said she would be surprised if they say no but can't guarantee. She also said as a clinic they are prioritising patients now on age to ensure people like us aren't left without anything. Fingers crossed!

I tripped over and fell in our hallway on Tuesday afternoon and as I have a few joint issues anyway I've been working from bed yesterday and today.

Hoping fully back to normal for FWW which is due to start Saturday according to Flo app.

Called the doctor and this one was on par with that it should be 1 year :)

He said my thyroid was recently was checked and he said over the years has been absolutely fine so that makes me less worried about that one aspect 🤣

I am calling the doctor again today to ask for referral as it isn't fair that she said I need to wait 2 years! I feel like I am bothering them during this pandemic for a non emergency reason but hopefully they won't mind!

@Annny27 sorry about AF. Hopefully this cycles just a one off and you get a longer LP agin next month. Yes I've started my suppositories. 3DPO today.

I think ccg's differ in what they offer ivf wise some places might even get 3 rounds. Think my area is 1.5 or 2. 1.5 being one collection but if first transfer fails they will do another transfer if you have another embryo from your first collection.

Well AF just made an abrupt entrance on 11dpo giving me a 10 day LP which is 4 days shorter than my normal cycle! Really confused :( and its not implantation bleeding as its bright red and heavy.

Absolutely gutted 😪😪

@kiza oh wow I didn't know it was only 1 ivf round on the NHS! Yep throw everything you can at that cycle then!!!

@orangeloo hopefully your thyroid levels are better now 🤞🤞 have you started on the progesterone suppositories now then?

Hi @Kiza that's a good idea, maybe she'll be able to suggest something to help. I'm not feeling too bad about it thank you, although I think it'll be weird as I need to go to the hospital & go to reception with my letter to collect a mask. I then go up for the procedure & the consultant will be in full PPE too. Fully necessary given the current situation but it'll be odd no the less. I'm also a bit dubious about going alone as you're not allowed anyone with you. I'll be fine but it just makes thinks a little more nervy than they would normally be!

Hey @Lozzlepop is it strange to feel relief each time your AF arrives? I'm assuming you haven't heard anything yet about your next steps? My consultant is still quiet so not sure if our area is up and running yet. How come furlough's been tough?

@Etonmess20 yeah I think I was a bit too eager with the Agnus cactus so am going to wait until my Accupuncture appointment next week as I think she's a herbalist too. How you feeling about your appointment? Will you be awake for it?

@Annny27 haha trust you to sneak an opk with no hpt in the house 😆 is it making you tempted to go a buy a test now?? I think the Accupuncturist said it doesn't need to be weekly but they try to time it on the days of retrieval and implantation or something. I'd pay for it daily if it increases my IVF chances as we only get that 1 free shot at it!

@orangeloo is the thyroid for the spotting? If so that's good that they are at least checking something for you as I know you've had to do a ton of your own research into it all!

Hi @Lozzlepop yes I am in England & I am NHS. I wasn't actually even aware I was on the waiting list for one (I was told I'd have 4 rounds of clomid then the HyCoSy if that didn't work) then I just got a call from the consultants secretary out of the blue

@Lozzlepop loads of clinics are reopening check the hfea website they update it everyday with ones that are opening. (Including NHS)if they are reopening you should chase up. X

I'm 7+4 today and I feel absolutely horrendous, I've had a few breakdowns over how bad I am feeling but then I remember what it's all in aid of and how hard I worked to get here 😂 I have my private scan on Sunday and I can't wait! I'll drop by after and let you all know how it went, take care x

@Etonmess20 in notice you are having a HyCoSy can I ask if you are in England and NHS? Our appointments were all cancelled due to lockdown and nothing seems to be back up and running just yet. Did they call you to reschedule or did you have to call them?

No real symptoms so I am not getting my hopes up. My boots are fuller but they always are this time of month and I am a teeny bit nauseous but again, sometimes happens in the tww due to the progesterone. Its a minefield haha

Yeah AF arrived unfortunately but least I can look forward to my HyCoSy!

Morning all! 11dpo here! Took an opk today and it was blazing positive so now I am thinking ooh what if I am pregnant- don't have any hpts though so holding on for a few more days haha!

@Etonmess20 did AF arrive in full force? Hopefully your tests this month go well!

@Lottiepink I am the opposite, my family only know because of our miscarriage and I wish they didn't as I feel rhey are constantly waiting for a pregnancy announcement haha!

@kiza yep the fertility clinic is probably bombarded at the moment! Will you do it weekly if you have to do ivf?
