@lottiepink that seems to be what all the research suggests when you're pregnant but not much out there about whilst you're trying to get pregnant. Hopefully be okay. I run 40+ miles a week x

rathernotshare · 04/03/2020 21:37

@FarmerWantsABaby thanks! Good to have experiences of real people rather than doctor google 😂

FarmerWantsABaby · 04/03/2020 21:31

@rathernotshare I was on the pill for 11/12 years, had my "fake period" and didn't have a period for 8 weeks, then 7, then 6 etc etc and I gradually regulated to 4 after about 7/8 months

rathernotshare · 04/03/2020 21:18

Hello ladies! Just wondering.... after stopping the pill how long did it take AF to arrive? I stopped at my break anyway, so had a 'fake period' as I call it Hmm and still nothing 5/6 weeks later Confused been on it 11 years so not sure how long is normal!

Lottiepink · 04/03/2020 21:10

@KrissyMB wow what an achievement, yes they so say that intense exercise can affect things, but if you have always been a runner it may not affect you as much?

@Anny27 yes in fertile week due to ovulate tomorrow/Friday, I can't get my head around ovulating earlier now as it feels like it's so quick after af 🤣

@whatsthecraic91 haha I think I did too 😂😂
Do you have to get an app for the swab? I had to do mine at home and take it in? So strange how they all have different rules isn't it?!

@Lozzlepop st least everything is looking ok though 😊

@MIW01 so sorry, I totally understand, take care and come back when you feel up to it x

FarmerWantsABaby · 04/03/2020 18:31

@Anny27 didn't I book Portugal last weekend for the end of June 🙈 now I'm panicking big time!!

Narwhal88 · 04/03/2020 12:33

Hi all
I joined this thread a while ago but didn't really comment, changed my name, it was makeafamily19. Been lurking though so sort of feel up to date with everyone! Feel like the support is really great on this thread so thought I'd join in again if ok?

TTC since June 2019, on cycle 10, spotting started today 12DPO so out again this month.
I have already been to the doctors to get the ball rolling with tests (told a little fib that we had been trying 12 months). My day 21 results came back good and show I'm ovulating. Was convinced I was still the problem due to short periods but my DH had his SA results today and he has low count and motility, told him to retest in 3 months.
Anyone got any tips on how to help improve this? I know caffeine, alcohol, increase veg etc. He is on wellman conception, doesn't cycle. GP suggested going vegetarian! That hasn't gone down well with DH 😂

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!
In regards to Coronavirus @Anny27 I would just book somewhere anyway, it's probably going to be hard to avoid by that point.

CoalCraft · 04/03/2020 10:43

@Anny27 Depending on where you go, you might be safer from coronavirus abroad than here! I've not heard any reports of it in northern Europe so that might be a good place to look? Though of course it's hard to predict where it might be in a month :(

It's good to have something to look forward to though to distract from ttc, I'd go for it if I were you x

Anny27 · 04/03/2020 08:30

Morning ladies! Cd2 for me today and this feels like the only but of my cycle where I can relax - I.e not wondering when I will ovulate or wondering if I am pregnant 🙄 gonna try keep myself reaaaaaaly busy this month

I want to book a city break end of the month abroad - what would people do with coronovirus - still go or hold off?

@whatsthecraic91 thanks lovely - glad she arrived now tbh! Arr you in fertile week?

@MIW01 that's totally understandable. Good luck with you operation, controlling your diabetes and then hopefully conceiving 💗

@Kiza any more symptoms or are you remaining calm?

@Lozzlepop totally, I am glad she arrived and now I can move on!

@Lozzlepop it's good you have your scan and HSG so close together, they didn't offer me it until I had my scan last week so now I'm on the list! Yea def ring up for his results, but he might have to call himself. When did he give his sample? My DPs took over 2 weeks to come back.

Lozzlepop · 03/03/2020 20:19

@MIW01 totally understand where you are coming from lovely, it’s been so nice being on this journey with you up until now- thank you for all your support. Wishing you and your partner all the very best 💜

@whatsthecraic91 I’ve no idea, there’s literally been no communication I’m clueless 🙈 I have the HSG on April 2nd so still a wee while away but that will be the next time I see the nurse, I’m not sure if I should call her up for DFs SA results?

Kiza · 03/03/2020 19:25

@MIW01 sorry to hear it's been deferred, you're right it seems so unfair that some of us are a year or two down the line and others seem to catch so easily. Even though you want to be happy for them you also can't help but feel angry/upset.
Take all the time you need and look after yourself 💜

whatsthecraic91 · 03/03/2020 19:22

@Lozzlepop I'm glad it went well tho and they can't see anything untoward! Do you have to go see a Dr later to discuss your it or anything? When is your HSG? I know, hopefully I'll have it for the start of the week!

@MIW01 oh no, I'm sure you're absolutely gutted. I totally understand why you want to take a step back, it's so hard. Please take care of yourself and come back to join us when you're ready. All the best x

MIW01 · 03/03/2020 18:25

Hello ladies

I've just found out my surgery is going to be deferred for 3 months due to my high blood sugar (my HbA1c is 99 and it needs to be below 69 for them to operate) so our TTC journey is on pause for now so I've decided to remove myself from the conversation. It's just too painful. There's enough pregnancies announements in the real world and I just can't find in my heart to be happy for others who get pregnant straight away right now. I wish you all the best of luck with your journeys, especially those of you facing a long hard road, my thoughts and empathy are with you.

Lozzlepop · 03/03/2020 17:31

@Anny27 I jus got the transabdominal scan luckily! Sorry to hear AF arrived but at least you can move on from this cycle!

@whatsthecraic91 you can’t beat a bit of grey! Well turns out they won’t book me in without having a venue booked 😒 the scan was fine- I’d go as far to say it was a waste of time, they told me nothing just said everything looks fine and we’ll send a report to the consultant! 🤷🏽‍♀️ That’s annoying that they need a letter 🙈 why do people make things so complicated??

whatsthecraic91 · 03/03/2020 13:25

@Anny27 didn't see your message there! Awk thats shit but at least you know where you're at now. I know, I see threads on here all the time and people have been trying for like a day and they're pregnant - really pisses me off. When you have been trying for so long you're entitled to feel that way - well I do anyway!

whatsthecraic91 · 03/03/2020 13:23

@MIW01 aww really? My Dr said I need a "vaginal swab" ☹️

@Lozzlepop thank you I absolutely love it!! Our living room is also grey 😊 ah lovely that's so exciting and will be something to look forward too!! Hope your scan goes well let us know how it goes 😁 he might be able to tell you that you have or about to ovulate!

@Lottiepink I did feel like I was having an affair so that's why I had to give her my life story when I finally phoned up 😂😂

Well I finally grew a set of balls and rang up - explained the whole thing and they can't book me in without a letter from the private Dr I seen 😐😐 so rang his secretary and she said I should have the letter by Friday/Monday. So by the time I actually get booked in my AF will prob be due and then I'll have to wait again - so annoying 😂

Anny27 · 03/03/2020 13:19

Hope they don't have to do a TV ultrasound 🤞🤞 they always have to with me haha!

Well ladies my AF officislly arrived so its cd1 for me! 🙄🙄🙄 fed up of this journey. Why is mine a "journey" when others get to conceive straight away no problem 😪 jealousy is an awful thing!

OP posts:
Lozzlepop · 03/03/2020 10:34

@Anny27 my mum is doing my head in already 🙈so many questions and suggestions! No its just a pelvic scan- think its to check my ovaries? Have no idea as I have been given no information 🤷🏽‍♀️HSG isn't until April. Had OV pains last night so looks like my cycle may have regulated and is shorter now. Hope you are ok, the waiting is just the worst.

Anny27 · 03/03/2020 10:27

Spotting a little but not like normal AF - a bit stringy like I had at the start of my miscarriage.

@MIW01 must be just genetic predisposition :( really sucks though!

@Lozzlepop my family were soooo involved in the wedding haha. It was too much at times but quite nice that they were so excited!! Is this your hsg test??

@Lottiepink totally just want it to be over with now! Are you in fertile week now?

@coalcraft I bet GPs and nurses are so used to it they dont even bat an eye haha!

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes, really appreciate it 🥰

KrissyMB · 03/03/2020 09:11

@Lottiepink thank you my lovely. Trying not to get my hopes up that it is pregnancy symptoms! I'm currently training for Manchester Marathon so paranoid I'm going to effect things by pushing myself so much. X

Lottiepink · 03/03/2020 09:03

Morning everyone, been a busy few days so just catching up!

@Anny27 sorry to see that you had a cp 😔 bet you just want af to arrive and you can get on to the next cycle now!

@timswifey sorry you've still got more to go through, hope you are ok. It's really rubbish the way the nurses were too, I totally understand your frustration!

@whatsthecraic91 well done on the painting, it sounds gorge! With you on the chlamydia test, i was embarrassed, I felt like had been having an affair 🤣

@MIW01 you're right so much mid information about everything, I really hope with the tests etc they are able to give you some answers 😊

@Hankychief @CoalCraft @KrissyMB welcome 🙂

@KrissyMB it's difficult to know, but try not to get your hopes up too much, I took me a few months to get back to normal but I was on the pill, but the first month I was convinced I was pg because of the symptoms but it must have been my body getting back to normal. It's crazy how much it can all affect us!

Lozzlepop · 03/03/2020 08:44

Morning ladies,

The sun is out- the second day that i have seen it, does this mean spring is on the way?? WFH today as I have my scan at 12:20! How is everyone?

@Kiza I know, I am just glad they said yes haha! Anyone else's mum a complete nightmare in the run up to their wedding? Oh did you have to self isolate? I feel people have slightly lost their heads with this whole situation 🙈

@whatsthecraic91 oh lovely 😍I love grey- we have it in every room, I haven't managed to sneak any blush in yet though! Well I need to book a venue and set a date first but hopefully that will be sorted this weekend 🤞🏻I am going to book in some dress shops for the end of April I think. Im sure they will know, I had mine done at the hospital at the time I got bloods done.

@Anny27 to be honest I found that I cried every time I went to the EPU whether someone was nice to me or not 😂I am having 3 so my 2 friends, we've been friends for over 18 years and then the OHs sister. How are you feeling today?

@CoalCraft @KrissyMB hello and welcome to the thread the ladies on here are the most supportive bunch you will ever meet ❤️

@MIOW1 you've been through it the past few weeks, how are you getting on?

CoalCraft · 03/03/2020 08:42

@Anny27 I know what you mean about feeling judged with the test lol, I had to have one a whole ago when I went to GP with spotting between withdrawal bleeds, and though I knew it was just routine sand knew it would be negative I was still a bit Blush about asking the receptionist for my results (spotting turned out to be reaction to the pill)
