@kiza we didn’t DTD at all between 7th and 30th March. So if I got pregnant on 7th March then surely the test should be darker and i would expect it to say 3+ weeks. And if I was pregnant from 30th March it would be too soon to detect anything. I’m so confused.

Kiza · 04/04/2020 14:30

@XjustagirlX I feel inclined to say congrats! My sisters friend bled frequently during her pregnancy once like a normal period and the rest on/off spotting. She said it was scary at first but she had no complications and a healthy baby.
I don't know anything about temping, but maybe on Monday you can phone the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital for some advice/reassurance?
Looking at your chart there's a sudden temp drop around 17th March, did you DTD around then?

XjustagirlX · 04/04/2020 14:18

@Annnny27 thanks for replying. I’m so confused. I’ve attached my last 2 fertility friend graphs. I bled 3 days after when AF was due and I have been spotting for the last 4 days. I can’t work out when I would have even gotten pregnant based on those dates and my bbt being low. The blood is really stressing me out.

Should I phone the doctor or should I wait and do some more tests?

@XjustagirlX if you had lost the baby that early your hcg would be very low right now and almost non existent! I think you might be pregnant!!!! Stranger things have happened

XjustagirlX · 04/04/2020 13:49

I did a digital test and it says 1-2 weeks. We didn’t DTD 1-2 weeks ago. I think this probably means I was pregnant last month and I have lost it and there are still hormones in me.

Hi ladies Flowers.
I hope it’s okay if I join this thread?
I’m hoping I might find someone who’s had the same experience as me....
I had the contraceptive implant solidly for 15 years (from age 17-32) always having a new one in when they needed replacing. Obviously in this time I completely lost track of what my cycle would be doing at any given time (never had any bleeding on it, only each time it was replaced).
I had it out Oct 2019 and had a visit from AF Dec 28th. I’ve had nothing since.
I definitely ovulated on March 25th or 26th as I’ve been tracking it with test strips solidly since January (I was worried after having the implant so long it might have had major negative effects!)
Since Weds of this week I’ve been having a weird pulling sensation in my uterus along with slight pain, nausea and back pain. Along with (TMI alert) lots of watery/milky cm. My cervix also feels really high up and almost out of reach.
DH and I have only really been trying since February and I know not everyone gets a BFP within the first couple of months. I’ve been trying not to get too obsessed with symptom checking, I did a test this morning and it was a BFN but I’ve read you shouldn’t really test until 12DPO.
I’m so confused and I’m just looking for anyone who might have experience of anything similar?

Thank you for listening, sorry it’s such a long post Confused xxxxxxx

Gem8930 · 04/04/2020 10:44

Hi everyone jusy an update. Af currently 4 days late. My cycle is usually 27days. Havent tested yet. Still gettin cramps etc like my af is comin but still no sign. If not here tomoro i will take a test. Finger's crossed xx

XjustagirlX · 04/04/2020 10:42

So I did a test this morning and it was a very faint positive. If I got pregnant last month I would have expected it to be a strong positive by now. My bbt is also low. And I had a late period last month. And I’m currently bleeding ow around what should be ovulation.

@kiza I could maybe phone my doctor but I feel like I’m wasting her time.

I then started wondering if maybe I was pregnant and that’s why it’s showing peak for so long. But then the blood is scaring me if that’s the case. I’m going to do test tomorrow morning.

Kiza · 03/04/2020 13:25

@XjustagirlX Don't worry too much about light bleeding around O, it's happened to me a couple of times and my consultant said it's nothing to worry about unless it's connected to PCOS or endometriosis symptoms.
I've had a close peak followed by a lot of highs and then a stronger peak this cycle. Super weird but I think the HSG messed me up a bit. However it's unusual to have 5 solid days of peaks, I've sometimes had 3 peak days in a row and then it lowers.

Are you open to a consultant that you could call for advice?

XjustagirlX · 03/04/2020 13:19

@kiza I’ve just read about the bunny method in the book I read. Trying to conceive an A to Z. It’s £1 on kindle.

So I have had a peak every day from CD12 to CD16 (today). I’ve never experienced this before. I thought maybe the clearblue reader was broken so I have used 3 separate readers and they have all shown peaks straight away. No low or high readings at all.

Has anyone experienced this?

Aldo got the past couple of days I have been bleeding. It was been red mixed with CM at first but then it turned brown.

I’m really stressing out as I can’t even go to the doctor.

Kiza · 02/04/2020 07:48

Morning ladies, apologies for the delayed reply just busy with work but at last they have created a skeleton rota so now only in the office 2 days/week 🙌🏼
CD24 and I finally O! The HSG has royally messed with my cycles!

@whatsthecraic91 how you holding up with long days? Sounds like a good plan over Easter and a well deserved break too.

@Lmac2018 any symptoms? When do you think you're going to test again?

@CoalCraft glad to hear your hands are back to normal, I think sales of hand cream have gone up massively too! I need to do an intense overnight treatment on mine I think.

@ToCaden I really hope they sort out something for you all soon as it's so unfair. I was walking around with a diluted bottle of Zoflora and disinfecting everything at work (even the toilets and kitchen).

@Lozzlepop sorry to hear all your tests are cancelled, I suppose we have to accept we are not a priority given everything. I tried calling the phlebotomist department just to see if they were open at the hospital but no one has answered the phone in 3 days so I'm assuming it's a no!

@XjustagirlX I tried googling the bunny method but could only find out how to make bunny socks 😆 do you know of a website you could post in here?

Lmac2018 · 01/04/2020 21:07

I'm on cycle day 35 with usual 24-28 length periods, erm I used internet cheapie, the ones from Amazon that are 10 x

whatsthecraic91 · 01/04/2020 19:59

Sorry I've been AWOL, it's work sleep, work sleep at the minute 😥

@Annny27 AF arrived on Sunday and she was gone by yesterday so had another 3 day weird AF 🤔 really heavy and painful on Sunday then Monday Tuesday virtually nothing 🤯 sorry she's arrived for you too 😢

CD4 today and my fertile window is over Easter when we are both off a few days as DP is still working too so I'm considering just seeing if it happens 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ we both are not really thinking about sex at the minute anyway 😆

Lmac2018 · 01/04/2020 19:42

Hi ladies, had what I thought was my period on Friday but by Monday it was gone and it was Brown spotting with it sometimes coming onto a pad. I just feel it.. I feel like I am pregnant... I don't know how to explain it, tests are coming up negative atm

CoalCraft · 01/04/2020 19:27

@Factualmistakes sounds like a good time for you to ttc, despite corona :) hopefully some OPKs can your mind at rest re when you ovulate

@Lozzlepop happy to say my hands seem to be almost back to normal too, must be getting used to the excess washing :) poor DH still has reptile skin, but he gets that every winter, it's just a little words than usual this year! That's interesting to hear you also had first period about three weeks after stopping pill, it seemed from reading around that it was more common to wait ages for the first period, but I guess everyone's different.

Well, looks like my period (?) is drawing to a close now. It was an odd one! Started with a bit of red, but then just old brown blood and only a little bit heavier than spotting really. But then it was so soon after my last withdrawal bleed that I don't suppose there was much time for a lining to build up

Looking forward to a hopefully more normal cycle this time :)

Annny27 · 01/04/2020 19:14

Evening girls! Cd3 here so AF easing off a little :)

@lozzlepop sorry to hear you ar won furlough but luckily the government has that support system in place at the moment 💗

@XjustagirlX the bunny method sounds exhausting haha! But might be worth a shot

@kiza do you think to have ovulated?

@whatsthecraic91 did you test??🤞🤞🤞

@ToCaden yes some companies have loved super quick in terms of home working when others are slacking

@Lmac2018 test again in a few days :)

ToCaden · 31/03/2020 22:29

@Lozzlepop strange isn't it. MOD were working from home over two weeks ago. One staff member said they felt this showed the company didn't care about staff at our grade and think we're dispensable. Most of the managers are of course safely at home. With all the deaths in the news people are scared.

Good news is they're finally putting in requests for the at risk staff who've been hiding at home due to health conditions to get the laptops they need to work remotely. DWP is still way behind everyone else in following government advice and no one but the ones not able to leave the house are being considered, but it's one small step in the right direction.

Though there was discussions about how now suddenly they're saying it's possible to work from home (the firm answer before was it was not and will not be possible for our grade with no reasons given), then why aren't all staff being allowed to work from home. After all, that's what the government says should happen.

If one of my colleagues or their relatives dies because of this I'm going to be so angry.

@XjustagirlX it's horrible when your hopes get up isn't it. Then you keep getting bfn and those hopes come crashing down.

The idea of each AF being one step closer to being pregnant is a nice one. AF came for me today and I felt like screaming. Will try to remember that positive spin.

Lozzlepop · 31/03/2020 17:16

Hi ladies,

Happy Tuesday! How are we all doing? Sorry I have been so late in catching up. Well it has been quite the Tuesday here, I have had the rest of our tests cancelled and as of tomorrow I am on furlough! All the emotions right now- is anyone else on furlough or are you ladies all still working?

@ToCaden thats rubbish that you can't WFH especially given who your employer is and that you have vulnerable staff! Do you think they will be able to let more of you WFH as the situation develops?

@whatsthecraic91 so sorry to hear that you fainted, are you doing ok? 70 hours is crazy, please take it easy and take care of yourself!

@Kiza yeah ours have all been cancelled now with no word on when they will be rescheduled, hoping as ours were in the not too distant future we won't have too much of a wait when things resume.

@Anny27 it definitely sounds like you have made the right decision given your past history, you would only worry more if you did end up getting pregnant this cycle.

@PeggyToo welcome to the thread!

@Narwhal88 fingers crossed you get to WFH soon 🤞🏻

@CoalCraft don't be silly I was exactly the same when it was happening to me at the start, hands are now returning to a state of normality which is nice. I think my first AF was about 3 weeks after stopping the pill too.

@Lmac2018 what CD are you? Did you test with an IC or first response?

@XjustagirlX cant say that I have ever heard of the bunny method, we always find either SMEP or DTD a few days before and then before OV always works best for us.

Sorry it was a long catch up- just such a strange time just now, hope everyone is having a good day and that you are all safe ❤️

XjustagirlX · 31/03/2020 11:56

The book also suggests the ‘bunny method’ which is different to the normal every other day DTD method.

The author got pregnant the month she tried the bunny method. Basically the moment you get a peak, DTD ASAP, that same evening, the following morning and then the morning after that.

Due to me getting a peak straight away this cycle we are trying it this cycle. Fingers crossed it works.

XjustagirlX · 31/03/2020 11:53

Also I recently read a book trying to conceive an A to Z guide. It has really helped me. It’s a very small book and I think it’s only £1 on kindle.

One thing I took from it which has really helped me is, most of us will eventually get pregnant whether that’s naturally or iui or ivf etc. Each time our period arrives we are one month closer to that goal. I just thought I would share as that realisation has really helped me.

XjustagirlX · 31/03/2020 11:44

@lozzlepop I’ve not phoned up the private clinic yet to see if they are doing appointment but I’ll let you know.

@kiza I would say you ovulated on CD17/18. I’ve had false peaks before so I only know when I’ve ovulated for definite due to temps.

So last month I was 3 days late and definitely thought I was pregnant but AF arrived (lots). So this month I went to do my first ovulation clearblue test on CD9 (yesterday) and I instantly got a peak smiley. We quickly DTD twice and again this morning.

I think what happened was AF was on time last cycle but never came out as I was really ill. So I though I was on CD9 but it was actually CD12! And I have started ovulating on CD13. I hope we haven’t missed it this month.

Factualmistakes · 30/03/2020 14:59

Good afternoon ladies I hope we are all ok.

It seems a few of us are having unusual AF's or weird things going on. Perhaps it's the stress and the unusual current situation too?

I had some more normal AF signs on Saturday (bright red blood) making it 4/5 days late but then it went back to spotting. Been on and off for a week now which is unusual for me but I am putting it down to having my copper coil being removed. I never used to have very heavy or long periods and the coil only made them slightly heavier. The main annoyance in all this is that I now have no idea when ovulation will be which is frustrating for someone who is usually so spot on and regular. I will just have to opk test a bit more this month i think to see what is going on.

We had thought about delaying trying properly for a month or so with the current situation but then decided to just keep going as we have only just started and it is likely to take a few months anyway. DH is in the military and we are finally in a post where he works regular hours and (shouldn't) have to be sent away for a few years so it's a really good time for us to TTC.

Lmac2018 · 30/03/2020 13:43

Erm I did one yesterday and it was negative so idk... bit aren't you supposed to wait a few days after the bleed to test x

CoalCraft · 30/03/2020 13:41

@Lmac2018 could it be implantation bleeding maybe? Have you tested again since the faint positive?

I seem to be having a period just like yours but am putting it down to getting used to being off pill; it's been less than a month since my last pill lol
