Thanks @orangeloo.

I'm currently 19DPO and for the past couple of days have been having pregnancy symptoms, but AF came this month - has this happened to you guys? Did you test?

orangeloo · 07/04/2020 21:15

Welcome @Lily501

@MrsEmilyB from what I've read you will most likely ovulate 12-48hrs after a positive OPK. Personally I think 48hrs is a push and mine always seems to be within 24hrs. Good luck.

MrsEmilyB · 07/04/2020 19:54

Thank you @Kiza and @orangeloo

Lily501 · 07/04/2020 19:24

Hi all, could I join this lovely thread too?

New to mumsnet and have been TTC for 6 cycles for baby #1!

orangeloo · 07/04/2020 19:09

Oh and @Kiza I will say it helped a bit. I don't feel like ttc has taken up so much of my focus these last few months, which is good. but I've still had my down days and struggles.

orangeloo · 07/04/2020 19:07

Hi @MrsEmilyB you've picked a good thread here.

@Kiza sorry to hear it wasn't that easy an experience and that it has messed your cycles up. Do you know if it's common to have an effect on your cycles after? I take it they found no blocks?

Kiza · 07/04/2020 18:18

@orangeloo hi, good to see you back. How did you find the break from the thread? Did it give you a bit of headspace?
My HSG wasn't the best experience due to her struggling to get it through my cervix but I kind of expected that due to a retroverted uterus and unusual cervix positioning. However once it was in place there was no pain, just bad cramping the following 24 hours similar to bad period pains.
However it has messed up my cycles a bit.

@XjustagirlX when do you find out your blood results? Keeping fingers crossed for you that it's a viable pregnancy.

@rathernotshare sorry you had such a crappy birthday and then a full on AF to top it off! Maybe try and do something nice for yourself these next few days- a bit of self care.

@MrsEmilyB welcome to the group ☺️
@whatsthecraic91 sounds like you've got a great weekend planned! Work is super busy for me too so also looking forward to 4 days off to chill

MrsEmilyB · 07/04/2020 17:33

Hi gals, I'm new here and in first cycle of TTC baby #1. Please can I join? Xx

orangeloo · 07/04/2020 17:16

Hi ladies,

I've been gone from thread for a few months now I think. No particular reason but maybe subconsciously needed less focus on ttc.

I was supposed be having private HYFOSY next week but that's not happening. Just trying to concentrate on making myself as healthy as poss and still hope for a BFP. I can see some familiar names and new.

Sorry for what your going through at the moment @XjustagirlX fingers crossed for you.

How did your HSG go @Kiza ?

How are things with you @Anny27

XjustagirlX · 07/04/2020 11:35

So I went to the hospital last night. I had an internal scan. She couldn’t see anything. My right tube is clear. But she couldn’t see my left tube as my bowel was in the way. I’m going to ask for another scan tomorrow when I go back to the hospital as I think they should try again to see my left tube as the pain is mainly on the left.

I had a blood test and I’m going for a second blood test tomorrow so they can compare hcg levels.

My nipples have gone bigger and slightly painful. I’m still spotting brown blood. And I’ve got twinges.

The nurse said if the hcg has gone up a lot then I’m pregnant. If it gone up slightly it’s ectopic. And if it’s gone down then it’s a miscarriage.

I’m so terrified of it being ectopic. I doubt it is a normal pregnancy as she would have seen something on the scan. She also said my lining was only 3.7 so quite thin for a pregnancy.

rathernotshare · 06/04/2020 21:05

Not even joking, it's my 26th birthday today. I've been crying all day because let's face it, it's a crap birthday in lockdown and my parents were supposed to be coming to visit but obviously can't (ex military wife so live very very far away) and I haven't seen them since Christmas. Nothing planned and no presents as my present was to go shopping for the day with husband. Gets to 8pm, I throw up I'm like wow this is a bad birthday. And low and behold AF IS HERE! Happy birthday to me from Mother Nature, my first post pill period on CD64! Grin

whatsthecraic91 · 06/04/2020 19:53

Hey ladies!

Sorry I've lost track of everyone 🤯 work is still so busy and I don't know what day of the week it is 😂 roll on Friday to get 4 days off 🙂 I have ordered patio furniture and a BBQ so I cannot wait to enjoy Easter in my big garden! So glad we moved from our apartment before all this!!

@XjustagirlX fingers crossed everything is okay 🤞🏼

My GP rang me today to say she is sending me out a kit to do my chlamydia test at home then I just post it back! Wasn't expecting that at all when I seen my phone ringing! So it was a nice surprise! I thought I would have been forgot about in the midst of Covid but it's nice to know they still care!

TinkerbellPuffin87 · 06/04/2020 18:22

@Kiza Thank you 🥰. AF is due on Wednesday. Took another test today which was a BFN so I guess I’ll just wait and see if AF comes or not 🤷🏻‍♀️

Kiza · 06/04/2020 17:45

@XjustagirlX how did the appointment go today?
@CoalCraft I think it was just a couple of weird cycles after the HSG, at least I O and managed to time DTD over both peaks just in case. Do you think yours was just some spotting before the full flow?

@TinkerbellPuffin87 welcome to the group, a lovely bunch of ladies here at various stages, some newbies and some old timers 😄 I've never had an implant but your symptoms could be Ovulation symptoms or the increase in progesterone during the TWW or indeed could be a wonderful pregnancy. When is AF due for you?

@Gem8930 great news!!! Congratulations! How are you feeling a few days after the positive test?

@Annny27 as the queen of symptom spotting I'm intrigued to see what you discover this cycle! 😆

Early in my TWW and luckily work is a distraction

Factualmistakes · 06/04/2020 10:38

Morning all just catching up on the weekends thread.

@XjustagirlX I am sorry that you are going through a tough time, I hope you get some answers as to what has gone one. I have heard of something called a chemical pregnancy so perhaps it is that? Hugs to you anyway.

@CoalCraft I hope you manage to figure out your cycle soon.

@Gem8930 congratulations. I hope all goes smoothly for you.

Due to my confusing cycle last month I started OPK tests on Saturday to gauge when I ovulate. DTD regularly so it's a case of wait and see if we manage to be lucky or not.

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well in the current situation.

Annny27 · 06/04/2020 09:14

Morning ladies!

@XjustagirlX sorry that you are going through this :( I hope they can give you some answers 💗💗

@CoalCraft yeah probably your first few cycles will be a bit weird when coming off the pill!

XjustagirlX · 06/04/2020 08:10

@Annny27 I did another test this morning but it was much fainter.

I’ve got an appointment today at 5:30 at the bleeding in early pregnancy unit at the hospital. They are going to do an internal scan. I think it’s a miscarriage though as I really don’t feel pregnant. I’m preparing myself for the worst.

CoalCraft · 06/04/2020 06:46

Sorry all, have lost track a little bit, but huge congratulations to @Gem8930

@Kiza Hope you're able to figure out what's going on and it's a positive answer for you x

@rathernotshare That is frustrating! No harm in asking your GP at least; you'll probably get an appointment even if it's a little ways off.

I really need to stop speaking so soon lol. I think in my last post I said my "period" was over and had never been much more than brown spitting... Well almost immediately after I posted it turned into a much heavier flow with dark red blood that lasted about 2 days and honestly it's still carrying on as spotting again now. This has definitely been the longest period I've ever had Confused

Still putting it down to coming off the pill early last month, just keen for this period to end so this cycle can crack on lol

XjustagirlX · 05/04/2020 12:21

@Annny27 I was too scared to test this morning. I thought I would wait 2 days between tests. So I’ll test tomorrow morning.

I was googling and now I’m really worried it’s an ectopic pregnancy. I’m on hold with 111 to get some advice. I’ve been bleeding now for 5 days (brown blood).

I have lots of twinges. But my boobs don’t hurt at all.

Annny27 · 05/04/2020 08:53

Congratulations @gem8930 :)

@XjustagirlX did you retest?

Cd7 for me- not that it matters because no ttc for us this month just gonna see how covid progresses and use this as a chance to understand my normal cycle with absolutely no chance of being pregnant so I can legitimately say "cramps on day 24 are not a pregnancy symptom" haha

rathernotshare · 05/04/2020 00:07

Hi all, quick flick through is showing lots of positive tests, congratulations to you guys Thanks I am nearing 3 months of having no period after stopping the pill which seems to be the agreed point to contact your GP, not sure if they will care given the current circumstances though Confused very frustrated!

Gem8930 · 04/04/2020 22:06

So guys.. This is why i was crampy and being sick. Excited 😊

XjustagirlX · 04/04/2020 17:57

I’m going to do another test tomorrow morning and I’ve going to phone my gp on Monday. I will tell them that I’ve got a positive test but I’ve been spotting for about 4 days but I’ve not had a period.

The test confused me actually as it reads as though it dates from ovulation instead of implantation. I didn’t think hcg started until implantation.

Kiza · 04/04/2020 16:05

Great advice from @Annny27, also that would make sense wouldn't it if she implanted around 17th then maybe that's why the reading says 1-2 weeks due to the amount of hcg perhaps?

Annny27 · 04/04/2020 15:12

@xjustagirlx the weeks monitor really means nothing I have read online. I think you implanted on the 17th march

Deffo call the EPU and daily thay you have had a positive pregnancy test and are bleeding. Dont say you had a period at the end of march because that wasnt a period it might have been implantation bleeding potentially
