@MrsEmilyB sorry I don't temp so any advice from me would be useless 😆 try and hold out until 1 day missed period (although I've tested early a number of times!)

@orangeloo what was your thyroid result? Sorry I couldn't remember you being tested for it.
@Anny27 welcome to your favourite time again 😁

MrsEmilyB · 16/04/2020 10:53

Sorry, forgot to add photo of bbt chart!

@Lily501 - that's amazing!! Congratulations. Sorry I'm late - just catching up!

@hopefulmammie - welcome! I'm 9dpo and we are trying for our first too. Fingers crossed for us. I'm feeling super anxious and emotional today. I had some ovulation type pains at 7dpo (which are still intermittent and very light) and very mild spotting yesterday at 8dpo so who knows? I never spot between periods or cramp really, so I'm hoping it's positive.

Does anyone know about implantation dips on bbt charts? I had a dip at 7dpo, raised at 8dpo and then somewhere in the middle today. Maybe I'm just reading into it all too much. I've attached my chart.

I've got a FRER. When should I do it?! AF is due Monday so I was thinking Saturday or Sunday?

Sorry for all the questions. It's our first cycle.

orangeloo · 16/04/2020 09:11

@Annny27 I'm cd13 dont hold out much hope this month as I had an awful thyroid result back yesterday 🙄. Glad you are enjoying being a bit more relaxed.

@Kiza I really think they would still allow your referral that would be so incredibly harsh if they didn't.

I'm about to do the dreaded weekly shop. I'm putting off but best go get In That queue.

Hopefulmummie · 16/04/2020 08:57

Hi I'm new here hope you don't mind me joining.
We are TTC our 1st baby. I got my coil out last July and no positives yet though had relaxed on the trying since December but now we're back.
7DPO and I've had a few twinges. I've also been very emotional the last couple of days not sure if this means something

Annny27 · 16/04/2020 08:42

@Jadey31 congrats :) your test measures your week's from conception so 2-3 weeks would equal 5 weeks pregnant

Jadey31 · 16/04/2020 08:40

Hi ladies. Thank you for replying 😍❤️ I took a test this morning and it was a BFP! It says 2-3 weeks however when I do the NHS check it says 5 weeks?!

Annny27 · 16/04/2020 08:19

Morning girls:) 1dpo for me today so into the tww!

@whatsthecraic91 we were basically not preventing not trying this month so did when we wanted which averaged every 3 days so still a chance of being pregnant I guess but I needed a bit of a break from the obsessive ttc! Haha I know what you mean with your test results, I had to have some after my miscarriage and even though I have been with my DH since we were teenagers so no chance of a positive result I was still relieved to see the negative haha

@kiza hopefully the NHS is a little understanding and extends the age cut off or atheist prioritises women closer to the age cut off when it all reopens which I think may be Julytime so there is still hope 🤞

@Jadey31 the positive opk makes me think you are pregnant - test :D

@Lozzlepop that's good for your mental health that you are enjoying this break. 2019 must have been super hard for you so its nice for a year of no expectations

@Lottiepink we were due to start seeing the GP as ita almost been a year trying but we will have to put that off atm now

whatsthecraic91 · 15/04/2020 19:27

@Annny27 were yous not trying at all this month or just trying but not trying? Did you avoid FW?

@Lottiepink I think the weather is helping everyone's mood too which is fab ☀️ sorry about AF but as you say everyone is just like 🤷🏼‍♀️ at the minute. Yes have a wine or a beer in that great weather!! DP had a bbq and a beer waiting for me when I got home from work 😀🍺

@Lozzlepop I'm still in the office full time 🙋🏼‍♀️ our whole workplace hasn't changed really except for social distancing & hygiene etc. We are part of the food chain so are classed as essential & we are so busy too which is great 👍🏼 I feel bad for furloughed people as there is so much uncertainty, I feel very lucky.

@Jadey31 welcome! Been there 🙈 you go through the woman possessed phase then the longer it goes you're just like 🤷🏼‍♀️ well I'm my experience anyway! Ooo sounds good get testing and let us know!!

@Kiza Defo argue it, everyone's will be pushed back due to the current situation and you would be going ahead otherwise so I really wouldn't like to think they can say no! Maybe they will extend the age limit for a year or 2 for people that are actually referred until they are caught up. They just have to.

Done my chlamydia test there before I hopped in the shower so I will get it posted away in the morning! I know it will be clear but you always have the fear in the back of your mind 😂😂

Kiza · 15/04/2020 18:58

@Lottiepink hahaha a wine to celebrate! I've done that a couple of times and I'm not even a drinker but think sod it! I'm with you on finding exercise and eating better being at home. I'm currently trying intermittent fasting too 16:8 which again is so much easier at home.

@whatsthecraic91 sounds like a great chilled out long weekend you had and well deserved too! Nice for us to get some lovely weather on our days off

@Lozzlepop it's times like this we can be grateful we have gardens to enjoy. Furlough life sounds good and a little routine you've got there

@Jadey31 I'd definitely test tomorrow if your 4 days late. Good luck!

We got our letter today confirming our IVF referral, I can understand them not extending the cut off age as statistically chances diminish past 40 but I'll do all I can to argue as some PCT offer it up to 42. We looked at the weekend for private and was shocked how expensive it is as all the hidden costs make it quite pricey. We agreed to try not to think about that until after my birthday and instead try to focus on the now.
@ValidUser how are you? I'm assuming you've had the heart breaking news of your treatment being suspended?

Lottiepink · 15/04/2020 18:28

@Lozzlepop you sound like you have it planned out and working around the whole furlough situation 👏🏻😂 I 100% agree, it's such a nightmare are the moment for everyone, we just have to hope that we all come out the other side safe and well 🤞🏻 such a shame for the people that got right down the line for IVF like @Kiza and were so close, and I completely sympathise with you, but it's all out of our control 😞 the thing is, if they kept it open, they could put them peoples lives at risk, so you have to give them a pat on the back for stopping the risk I suppose, everyone's health is the main priority.

@Jadey31 welcome, fingers crossed for you, I would defo test too if you feel up to it 😊🤞🏻

I posted this morning, and went to the bathroom, af has arrived earlier than normal without any major signs, but to be honest I'm not too fussed this Cycle, things are so unknown and been chilled out with not feeling the need to stress so much, so I may have a wine to celebrate 🙈😂

Jadey31 · 15/04/2020 16:20

Thank you for replying @Lozzlepop ❤️ if I'm honest I don't know if I can face another negative test 🙈 I know everyone on this thread is in the same boat. It's so hard isn't it. I'll test tomorrow xx

Lozzlepop · 15/04/2020 16:15

Hi @Jadey31 if AF is 4 days late a Clearblue should give you an accurate answer.

Jadey31 · 15/04/2020 15:44

Hi Ladies.

Mind if I jump in?

DH and I have been trying for 9 months now. I gave up a few months ago testing for ovulation as I was becoming a woman possessed 🙈 it put a lot of pressure on my DH as he knew when I was ovulating and felt like a baby making machine 🙈

Basically, I need some advice .. I'm currently 4 days late for my AF. The day I was due my AF I had ovulating pains so I did an ovulation test which was positive (is this normal?!) now I'm 4 days late and to be honest the last week I've just felt different. I don't know if I'm imagining things. I have 2 clear blue tests in the house. Do I take one in the morning or wait 7 days?! Help 🙈🙈 xx

Lozzlepop · 15/04/2020 15:12

Afternoon lovelies! Happy Wednesday, the sun is shining here it’s literally the most glorious day!

@Lottiepink I know, it is disappointing but people are going through so much worse right now. Not sure what it’s like down south but up here they have stopped all the IVF procedures so must be really tough for those couples 💔 Wedding planning is good fun though, a nice distraction at these unusual times.

@Kiza I really hope things go ahead with your IVF, would you be in a position to pay? I know a couple who paid for the procedure on the NHS- think it cost them £5k and you basically get bumped to the top of the list but still under NHS care. No we are still using condoms, we don’t want to risk having to wait any longer for our tests and don’t really want to try again before the wedding incase something went wrong again in the run up to the big day. I’m actually not even doing OPKs etc just kind of forgetting about TTC just now and not feeling as bad as I thought I would about everything ☺️

@whatsthecraic91 that’s great you are feeling good, I am having a really good week too actually trying to structure my days and it’s paying off! We knew it was coming so I think that made it easier it wasn’t a complete shock.

@Anny27 furlough life is alright- pretty dull. The OH is working mon-thurs from downstairs so I’m trying to keep out his way. Started to do some workouts in the morning followed by a yoga session then I have a late brekkie and coffee so I only really have the afternoons to fill. Today I have cleaned and got a washing out and will bake a bit later. It’s not too bad but it’s going to be a long 9 weeks 😬

How’s everyone’s weeks going? Is anyone still going into the office? I’ve been trying to be super strict and I’m limiting going out to just a couple of times a week, getting my fresh air just relaxing in my garden 👌🏻

Lottiepink · 15/04/2020 11:01

Morning ☀️

@Kiza it's such a shame with the timings etc isn't it. With you being on the list, and it being cancelled out of your control, you would assume that you would still be eligible for the free round. I really hope so for you anyways! But here's hoping the fertility diet does it 😊 gonna have a read up on that.
I'm ok, I still have some weight to lose before we would be eligible for the IVF on the NHS, so really focusing on that, and strangely finding it easier since working at home and managing to exercise more and losing each week. But we would have been a little while off getting put on the list as I hadn't had any of my internal tests yet, the TV scan was supposed to be done at our app in May which was cancelled. I actually feel more relaxed about the situation at the moment which is perhaps a good thing for the minute! Yeh still carrying on as normal but not temping or doing ovulation tests anymore!

@whatsthecraic91 I feel the exact same, seem to be more relaxed! Think it's due to everything being out of our control anyways at the moment.

@Anny27 least you kind of have an idea of ovulation, in day 27 and 10dpo, I think I ovulated a little later this cycle, will have more of an idea when af arrives tho, ha! I know, it's crazy, but totally out of all our control.

Annny27 · 15/04/2020 08:18

hey girls :D cd17 today and I may have ovulated yesterday.....not tracking this cycle but I don't seem to have ewcm today and I have for the past week so I will assume yesterday/ today is ovulation!

@whatsthecraic91 I am the same in the the virus has meant I am less totally focused on baby and ttc!

@lily501 congratulations lovely thats wonderful!

@Lottiepink feels like limbo doesn't isn't with follow up appointments and test being cancelled:/

@orangeloo sometimes I get a few days of spotting and others just 1, strange! Where are you in this cycle?

@kiza that sounds like a sensible plan tbh. Could you afford private ivf if it came down to that?

@Lozzlepop how is furlough life? Are you managing to keep busy around the house and stuff

whatsthecraic91 · 14/04/2020 19:17

@Lozzlepop hey I'm good thanks! I'm actually in a really good place at the minute and I think it's to do with this whole covid situation, I know that sounds mental but it's really took my mind off everything! That's bound to be hard having all your tests cancelled. Just think of it as a wee break and enjoy your time together and the wedding planning!

@Lottiepink it has really helped and with work being so busy too! Hope you're keeping well

@Kiza no I'm back to work tomorrow and it's a lovely short week. DP is off all week tho so we have DSS from today until Sunday and we had another bbq today, really making up for not having a garden for 3 summers 😂 can they do that on yous considering it's been delayed due to covid?? If they do that is very unfair!!

@Annny27 how are you? Did you ovulate?

Massive temp dip yesterday so I think that was ovulation, will see in the next couple of days, DTD today just to be covered. I really don't mind if I don't get pregnant at the minute due to everything and it's really relaxed me so we will see what happens! Doing my home chlamydia test in the morning and will get it posted off. Then once it's back it's the waiting list for HSG, wonder how long that will be now 👎🏼

Kiza · 13/04/2020 14:48

@Lottiepink yeah we talked about it over the weekend and I think it was the possibility of our 1 chance of IVF on the NHS slipping out our hands due to the delay of CV19. If treatment doesn't start before 4th Oct (my 40th birthday) then we probably won't be allowed it which is a kicker when we know we've been referred and would've started in 8 weeks.
So now we have to do even more than we have been doing over the last 19 months.
How are you doing at the moment? Are you still trying since the cancelled appointments?

@Lozzlepop how lovely to spend time planning your wedding! Did you guys decide if you were going to use condoms or just completely avoid the fertile window?

@whatsthecraic91 are you off all this week then? Nice when DTD can be a bit more chilled rather than having to squeeze it in to busy, long stressful days!

Lottiepink · 13/04/2020 13:44

@Kiza that's a big decision to make, so well done you. Is there many success stories that you've read about the diet, I may look into it myself!

@1izzie welcome 😊

@whatsthecraic91 it might so ya all good taking them pressure off so much. And beers in the garden sounds perfect 😄

@Lozzlepop aww how exciting all the wedding planning, bet it's nice to have something else to focus on beyond the dreadful situation we are in now. We also got our cancellation letter through :( such worse things going on at the moment tho!
It's still awful tho 😞 it's the not knowing how long it's going to take for fertility appointments to be back up and running again!

Lozzlepop · 13/04/2020 11:06

Hi ladies,

Sorry I have been MIA just been trying to enjoy furlough life now that all of our tests have been cancelled, so have been using my time to try and wedding plan. I know I’ve missed a lot 🙈 how is everyone? Did we all have a nice Easter weekend? Needless to say this Easter was better than last Easter for us- strange saying that with everything that’s going on

@XjustagirlX how are you doing? Any update from the hospital?

@kiza @Anny27 @whatsthecraic91 @Lottiepink @orangeloo how are you ladies all doing?

Hello to the newbies, the ladies here have a wealth of knowledge so you are in the right place.

Kiza · 13/04/2020 11:02

@Lily501 that's great news you're getting some symptoms, fingers crossed for you tomorrow.
I did some online research yesterday and most fertility diets appear to be high in protein and good fats so I've started a fertility smoothie each morning (luckily have most of the ingredients in) and have made the tough decision to adapt my diet to incorporate eggs and fish to ensure I get protein as being vegan for the last 3 years means I struggle to get as much protein as what appears to be needed for a fertility diet.
I'm going into cycle 20 and at this point if someone said do a headstand and eat a lemon each morning to get pregnant I think I would! 😀

Lily501 · 13/04/2020 10:05

@orangeloo Thank you, trying not to think about the bleeding until I call the doctor tomorrow - haven't had anymore and no pain, plus, if there is something wrong there's not much I can do to change it now anyway. The line was really strong and I'm having other symptoms too so fingers crossed - I'm starting to let myself get more and more excited!!

@Kiza Yeah, that's what I was thinking,,,was just worried incase the hormone was still being picked up after an early miscarriage or something. Only time will tell I suppose. And great idea about the fertility diet! A friend from school followed one last year and posted all about it on facebook - she is currently third trimester I think! I did have a quick look but couldn't find which one - I'll find out though and let you know!

whatsthecraic91 · 12/04/2020 16:46

Happy Easter ladies! Hope everyone is having a lovely time at home!! We sat in the garden all day yesterday, drank beers and had a bbq it was fabulous ☀️🤣

Finding it hard to keep up with you all at the minute, with work being busy and covid I haven't really been properly thinking about TTC which is a good thing I suppose! I still take my temp every morning tho.

CD15 today and my app is predicting ovulation this coming Thursday but I think it will be before then. Lots to time to DTD with being off work 😃😃

Congratulations to the BFPs I've missed ❤️

1izzie · 12/04/2020 13:30
