I saw a thread about this back from 2019, a few people noticed their resting heart rate started to increase steadily after ovulation and they got there bfp. (Although people did report it rose then dropped before AF)

Just wondering if anyone on here has tracked and got a definite bfp?

I'm currently 10dpo and my heart rate has jumped from 60bpm to 67bpm since ovulation.

Not sure when my period is due as they are irregular.

Attached my chart too!

@kfcplease it looks spot on! You'll have the willpower of a goddess if you manage not to test until Monday!!

kfcplease · 02/05/2020 07:37

Morning ladies how are you all getting on?

My RHR is back up to 69 I've got the awful metallic taste in my mouth this morning. My OH told me to do a test because I'm exhausted. I was pregnant in January and that's what I was like then too! I don't want to cave I'm going to try and wait for Af on Monday but he might not let me lol

I'll post my chart so you can see it. It's very interesting. If I do get a BFP then we are definitely on to something with this little experiment!

@Kona84 I'm sorry to hear AF is here! I think I input AF from the first blood, but I guess it's a bit of a judgment call if eg you were to just have a bit of spotting and then nothing for 24h.

@kfcplease that sounds super promising! fingers crossed for you!

My RHR is still super low - I'm on 61 (was 60 up until Thurs) and am still getting negative OPKs even though I was in theory due to ovulate yesterday. Not sure what is going!

kfcplease · 01/05/2020 07:59

I put it from the first day of bleeding no matter how light

kfcplease · 01/05/2020 07:58

Sry to hear that @Kona84

My rhr is rising again back up to 68!

Kona84 · 30/04/2020 20:46

My gut feeling that I was out has proved to be correct. The start of AF is here.
When do you guys start inputting AF into any apps etc. At the first showing or once in full flow.
Sorry for TMI I’ve got the normal pinkish discharge that comes the evening before so I count today as CD1 or tomorrow?

Kona84 · 30/04/2020 20:44

@FairfaxAikman congratulations I hope your 2 year old had a lovely birthday

FairfaxAikman · 30/04/2020 17:18

I have an unusually slow heart rate for someone of my size and fitness level. The first clue I had was when my RHR went over 63 (which would normally be the peak of my cycle) for the first time ever.

The result is two years old today.

Kona84 · 30/04/2020 17:14

@kfcplease I don’t think 9dpo is too late for ovulation

SmileyT · 30/04/2020 16:06

@LV1987 I completely get you trying to make sense of things that's what I've been doing but also trying to remind myself that it doesn't actually help me get pregnant 🙈

@Kona84 definitely not out until you are out 🤞

kfcplease · 30/04/2020 13:14

I'm 9dpo and my heart rate has gone from 69 to 67 now it's at 66. When does implantation usually happen?

You're not out till you're out @Kona84

Kona84 · 30/04/2020 10:12

I’m 11dpo today so think it’s late for an implantation dip

Kona84 · 30/04/2020 10:10

My gut feeling is I am out.
I know this isn’t an exact science so I still have a slither if hope but the drastic drop in HR tells me AF is on its way

@SmileyT thank you for the reply... And you're not a loser at all, I'm exactly the same! It's so fascinating that I do find myself quite wrapped up in it at times. I am one of those who has to understand everything, so it really bugs me when something is not quite textbook! It's heading back up again today, so looks like I'll have a other peak in a month full of them 😂

TerribleImagination · 30/04/2020 08:13

Thanks @Juno231! Crossing everything that’s what it was 🤞🏻 Been trying for 5 months after a MC, so extra desperate for that BFP 🌈

@SmileyT I think it could be that you know... I know my cycles have been a bit random since the MC, so it makes sense for other things to be a bit off too.

Thank you!! I hope it was implantation! 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed for you this month too!

SmileyT · 30/04/2020 06:49

@TerribleImagination yeah I've been trying to work out if the MC has been throwing it off. I made an excel chart of the CD against RHR and the general pattern is that it dips around the middle of my cycle. But my rhr was the highest it's been from when I took a pregnancy test at 6 weeks in Feb and lowest today (54) it's only ever been this low once before in the 4 years I've been tracking daily 😳

Really hoping you did have an implantation dip and it's your month 🤞

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 23:00

@terribleimagination yeah if you Google implantation dip rhr it certainly seems to be a thing!

TerribleImagination · 29/04/2020 22:57

Hi @SmileyT! Lovely to see you here! 😃 I wonder if RHR patterns are a bit all over the place after MC?!

@Juno231 Oooh I really really hope so!! Is that generally the trend then, a dip at implantation? AF is due Sunday so I’ll know either way soon enough 🤞🏻

Juno231 · 29/04/2020 21:06

@kfcplease wow I've never seen a rise that steep after ovulation. Have no clue what it means but I'm hopeful your dip is implantation - I thought it would have to be a bit steeper than that though so let's see if it drops further tomorrow.

@terribleimagination I'm really struggling to make sense of the list but sounds like you may have had a dip in line with implantation? Fingers crossed for you.

SmileyT · 29/04/2020 19:30

@LV1987 I'm completely new to looking at this but I'd struggle to see ovulation just from the chart, I've spent all evening (yes I'm a massive loser) checking my RHR alongside when my period started and some months it looks like your chart just really up and down I'd guess it's down to all the other factors that affect RHR so I'd go with CM for when you ovulated and wait out AF or that BFP x

@kfcplease Hope it's good news for you on Monday 🤞

@TerribleImagination 👋 I'm really struggling to see a clear pattern with mine aswell apart from it appears to drop during period and then increase after ovulation but no idea if that is normal.

Hope somebody comes along who knows a bit more for you ladies xx

kfcplease · 29/04/2020 19:00

Hi everyone,

I've been following the thread and tracking too. Congratulations to all the BFPs!!

This is my RHR chart for April.
AF was 5th.
Positive OPK on 20th assuming ovulation on 21st.

What do you all think? Is it any good? It's got a steady rise but gone down today. Possible implantation? Af is due on Monday so not testing just going to try and wait it out!

Will anybody be testing on 4th?

TerribleImagination · 29/04/2020 09:15

I have no idea what’s happening with my RHR this cycle... every cycle of the last 3 (since i got the watch) have been different! The only thing the same is the spike 3 days after a positive OPK...

I have a Garmin watch and the graph isn’t as good as Fitbit, so attaching as a list instead!

The blue marker is when I got the positive OPK and today (29th) I’m 9DPO. I’m confused about the dip yesterday and today! That didn’t happen in either of the 2 cycles before... The first cycle I tracked it dipped loads in the morning and I got AF later that day. Last month it kept on rising and rising, AF arrived early but it didn’t fall back down again until a couple of days after AF started.

Soooo, I’m very confused 😆

LV1987 · 29/04/2020 08:33

Hi, hope it's OK to jump in... I've been tracking my RHR since Feb. Last month I could make sense of it, this month I'm at a loss!

I started spotting 6th April, with full AF coming in on the 8th, so I'm either CD22 or 24, depending on whether I take the spotting as CD1 or not.

I've been using clearblue OPKs this month, and have had the dreaded flashy smiley everyday since April 19th. RHR spiked at 66bpm that day, which is the highest it tends to go, but no solid smiley! I also had EWCM the day after.

Looking at my graph, does it seem likely that I ovulated around the 19th but have managed to miss my LH surge on the clearblue OPKs? My RHR has been so up and down this month (lock down syndrome, I think!) that I am struggling to make much sense of it.

Thanks!

popcorndiva · 29/04/2020 07:39

I find it rises mid morning I usually notice it has gone up after breakfast

SmileyT · 29/04/2020 07:20

@popcorndiva do you find that it rises the morning of ovulation or morning after (like BBT) I'm going to keep a close eye on it this month.
