Maidmummy · 18/02/2020 06:55

@Lmac2018 your definitely not out I conceived my son by only having sex on the day of ovulation so it can happen x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 18/02/2020 06:34

Lmac2018 · 18/02/2020 02:05

Oh... I think I've definitely missed the window this month. App is saying I get my period in 9 days now so will just have to wait for AF to turn up:((

Maidmummy · 17/02/2020 18:45

@Lmac2018 ovulation occurs 12-36 hours after your FIRST positive opk with the average being 24 hours later then the egg has a life span of 24 hours but begins to disintegrate after 12 hours so you would technically have a window of around 1.5 to 2 days so it's best to bd on the day of the first positive opk the day of ovulation and the day after x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 17/02/2020 17:28

@Lmac2018 I'm not 💯 sure, i just read it was 24 hours after but sometimes less and egg can last 24 hours, if you did it on day of ovulation you are deffo in with a chance!! We only did it on the day and two days before xx

OP posts:
Lmac2018 · 17/02/2020 17:26

I might've missed it then... I thought you ovukate 12-48 after the positive and then the egg stays around for 24 hours... So that would make it between 2-3 days after positive ovulation test

Maidmummy · 17/02/2020 17:25

@AnxiousAnnie86 this is our first month "properly" trying, odds are pretty low for first month TTC x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 17/02/2020 17:23

@Maidmummy good luck for tomorrow let us know!!! I wouldn't count out if it's negative though. Have you been trying long? X

OP posts:
Maidmummy · 17/02/2020 17:14

@AnxiousAnnie86 I'm testing tomorrow as I'll be 10dpo but not holding out much hope, this month doesn't feel like my month x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 17/02/2020 17:11

@elmlee @Maidmummy That's so exciting not long for you to test!! When do you plan on testing?x

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 17/02/2020 17:09

@Lmac2018 they say 24 hours from first positive opk, so that would put you as Friday ovulation same as me :) so you would of DTD On the day of ovulation, they say it's good to get in before as well but that can be really hard when you've no idea when! I only did it Wednesday and Friday and ovulated Friday I think, x

Lmac2018 · 17/02/2020 16:02

Hi ladies, if I had a positive opk Thursday all day and then Friday afternoon and we DTD around twice in that time including yesterday morning as well. Do you think I would've caught ? And when do you think I ovukate ?

Maidmummy · 17/02/2020 13:36

Hi ladies am I ok to join,

I'm a little further than you guys I'm 9dpo today and cycle #1 TTC baby #4

Hardly any symptoms as of yet apart from achy boobs and today I've suddenly come down with a head cold so who knows 🤷 and last night it felt like the area around my left ovary was throbbing lasted around 5 mins then turned into mild cramps and backache. I plan to test in the am although not holding out much hope for a BFP x

Britblue · 17/02/2020 13:26

Thanks for your lovely welcome! I’m still relatively new to all this, what apps do you recommend for tracking? I’m currently using Clue but not sure if this is the best one?

Elmlee · 17/02/2020 07:37

Thinking flo May come if she is round 22nd but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️
Currently waiting to test but unsure when... according to my other app if that was my peak I'm 9DPO... feeling so wet down below 🤦🏻‍♀️ nipples slightly tender.

@AnxiousAnnie86 it's risen a touch but nothing significant, it's very confusing! 🤨

I'm genuinely going to try and not symptom spot. (Hollow laugh!)

I've had blood tests this month (and am waiting on a gynae appt but it's a 4-6 month waiting list) to investigate if I ovulate and why my cycles are so long. So I'm not holding out much hope for a natural conception tbh, as miserable as that sounds 😂

Although, I a glass of prosecco with my tea earlier, drank it too fast and had to go throw up and thought "maybe I'm pregnant!" Then immediately thought "you literally ovulated yesterday, dickhead!" 😂

Lmac2018 · 16/02/2020 21:57

I had 2 days of VERY strong opk up until Friday afternoon, me and my partner have DTD for the last 2 days including today so hopefully we've done it this month

AnxiousAnnie86 · 16/02/2020 21:52

@Britblue also my first month with digital xx

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 16/02/2020 21:51

@MySweetLittleTriffid @Britblue welcome!! 2dpo all round it seems! When does the symptom spotting begin 😂 my issue is I seem to have sore breast from ovulation through to period so can't even symptom spot for that lol! I'm doing bbt for first time this month, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing it's only risen a tiny bit x
