Just entering my fertile week & wondering if anyone else is & we can then wait out the dreaded TWW together?
AF due 1st March, most likely be testing from 10dpo ...no matter how hard I try & wait it never seems to work that way 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I think I'm on similar timing as got my positive OPK on Wed & managed to DTD 3 nights in a row since (following SMEP) so hopefully covered our bases. Natural cycles says I'm ovulating today, Femometer says I ovulated already on Sunday so who knows? I'm more inclined to go with the OPK result as that fits with my CM as well.

When will people start testing?

uisage · 14/02/2020 09:22

@AimeeT90 I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully things go smoothly for you this time.

@Mycrazylife85 I usually just get naked, that does the trick for him. No explaining required. Although I do tell him that I'm due to ovulate as well.

Who is hoping to make a Valentine's day baby? 🌹🍾👶

Mycrazylife85 · 13/02/2020 22:31

@CocoW yes!! I completely agree! I have no idea to say "I'm due to ovulate soon" without sounding like an absolute idiot (in my head) 😂

AimeeT90 · 13/02/2020 20:42

@A08x I ovulated 2 days after my first positive OPK, according to my cramps, or 12 hours after my surge had supposedly ended x

AimeeT90 · 13/02/2020 20:37

Hi Everyone!
Can I join in with this? Me and my husband have been trying for a baby since last May, unfortunately it's been difficult for us this time despite the fact we have children already. Most of the time I haven't caught, and then we've had 3 miscarriages during this time too.
We've been tracking ovulation but doing it all wrong! Luckily we're under gynae now and think we may have hit the nail on the head this month. Fingers crossed.

I only have 25 day cycles, so currently 4dpo and AF is due on the 22nd. We're keeping it super quiet from family now so would be nice to talk to someone xx

uisage · 13/02/2020 20:09

@CocoW It's probably easier if they don't know the ins and outs of your cycle. Mine is just aware that there's 2 days for each cycle that I'm the most fertile.

I forgot to give DH the heads up tonight and he has gone out for a run after DS's bedtime so won't be back till 8.30. I will maybe ambush him when he gets out of the shower. He usually likes that, at least 😂

CocoW · 13/02/2020 18:11

@Mycrazylife85 we are also at the stage were he prefers the heads up of 'we need to have sex tonight/all week' I find it easier now he doesn't mind me letting him know 😂
My DH is clueless about this whole TTC thing, I try & explain bits but can just see it going over his head, also feel when I say out loud what I am tracking/trying differently each cycle it actually makes me feel a bit insane with how obsessive i become.
Much prefer to pop on here & tell strangers 😂

@A08x thank you so much. Took my temperature this morning and thought I'd ovulated. I had a cry. Turns out it was really early (6:20/30) and I'd read it wrong. I'm still in and haven't ovulated.

I've a date with DH later. It's not glamorous but he's told me to tell him and be to the point as he doesn't understand. It seems a little unnatural saying we need to have sex later but it is what it is. 😂 good luck ladies.

Jonesbabynumber1 · 13/02/2020 15:26

@AO8x I’ve been trying since September thought I’d catch straight away had a CP but nothing since. I was on copper coil but still feel that it’s taken until last month for my body to do everything it should be as I was having very short periods. My ovulation strips were like that when using cheap amazon ones found the Femometer ones better this was my peak today x

Hi can I join as well? I got my positive opk yesterday on my CD19, due AF 25th feb (I only seem to be getting 10-12 days PO before it shows up🙄).

@CocoW exact same as you, pill for 10 years and been trying since Sept 19. I also thought it would happen straight away!

This may sound a silly question, so ovulation happens the day after a positive OPK?

@Mycrazylife85 my OPKs were getting darker over the weekend (but not quite positive), then suddenly on Monday and Tuesday morning were really faint, then by Tuesday tea time / bedtime darker again and then positive yesterday all day. This morning negative again. So keep testing just incase!

Good luck to everyone 💗

Jonesbabynumber1 · 13/02/2020 15:09

I find the best ovulation strips as the Femometer ones I had others but way too sensitive these only give me a positive once in the month which is accurate for me

Jonesbabynumber1 · 13/02/2020 15:06

Hi all can I join I’m on another thread but my cycles way behind everyone.i Need some company in TWW. I got peak ovulation this morning so predicted to ovulate tomorrow on Valentine’s Day. So hoping that brings me some luck. Been TTC for last 6 months

uisage · 13/02/2020 15:00

Haha, I had a look last night and missed it 🙈. I am also due 1st March, trying to muster the energy to DTD tonight as I'm just entering my fertile window.

CocoW · 13/02/2020 14:56

@uisage heres a thread I started for this month🤞🏼

I've been using the internet cheapies. I'm totally confused as to what is going on. I'm worried I've missed my surge. This morning I had an almost positive OPK first thing, then two totally negative (hardly see the second line) since (after three hour holds). I'm gutted. Maybe I've missed it but all being well we can finally dtd tonight (husband has quite a low sex drive ☹️ which ordinarily is fine 😂). I'm hoping I haven't missed it and my body is gearing up for it but I'm totally fed up and feeling really rubbish. Husband is trying to get his SA results from the doctors and my appointment for my doctor next week (to be referred) has been changed as my doctor... has gone off to have her baby.

I'd like a large glass of wine now and a cry. I'm not going to as I'm not drinking In the hope that'll help. It could be years of not drinking though...

CC12x · 12/02/2020 17:32

Hi everyone I will join too. Due AF 28th and this is our 5th month ttc. I had a positive opk on the 10th. I was worried that it was too early? I'm new to this whole thing so not very clued up. My son is 11 so been a very long time since I did any of this Grin x

paintfairy · 12/02/2020 17:32

@CocoW I used cheap one step last month. This month I've used the clear blue advanced purple OPK, and one step too, out of interest.
With the clear blue you get more warning because it flashes. Mine flashed day 8. The one step had a light line day 10 in the evening. Day 11 is today and I got a static smiley. The one step is also now showing peak.

Shoegal03 · 12/02/2020 16:47

Hello everyone,
I am joining you as also due my period at the end of Feb. My cycle varies between 28-35 days so not sure exactly when it will come.

Have been TTC for just over a year so feeling pretty beat by the whole process :(

I’m in my fertile week now, ovulation happening on Friday according to Flo, but have been away with work since it started so haven’t had a chance to DTD yet. Getting home tomorrow so fingers crossed it’s not too late!
I’ve been testing every morning with the clear blue digital OPK’s, have had flashing smiley faces since Monday (praying each time not to see a static one just yet!)

I’m so sick of weeing on OPK’s, examining cervical mucus, timing sex, taking pre-conception vitamins, using fertility lube etc!! I don’t want to add up how much it has cost me, not to mention when you include all the pregnancy tests I’ve taken when I’ve had the 35 day cycles... Anyway, trying to stay positive, and it feels good to vent! :)

Fingers crossed for all of us x

CocoW · 12/02/2020 16:33

I think I will use the clear blue OPKs if this month isn't our month.

How long has everyone been TTC?

We have been TTC for around 6 months for our first child. I was on the pill for 10 years & stupidly thought as soon as I came off it everything would just 'happen'.
Quickly realised it is really not that easy😔

pineapple2 · 12/02/2020 16:17

I have clear blue opk..Got my fixed peak smiley on the 11th. I decided to start testing on the 8th even though app said the 14th so I wouldn't miss ovulation as I'm sure that's what's been happening...so I'm 1dpo...lol

CocoW · 12/02/2020 15:21

Whats everyone using to test OPK?

I have the cheap small strips off ebay.. got negative today but looking like I'm due to ovulate on Saturday so will just keep testing.

I have been using Flo & Ovia apps the last fee cycles but trying Natural Cycles also this time & testing BBT daily.. Natural Cycles is predicting ovulation day being the 19th so bit out compared to the other 2.

Just going to DTD every other day now until 21st I think🤞🏼

paintfairy · 12/02/2020 14:37

Positive opk for me today. So fingers crossed!

dogvscat · 12/02/2020 14:09

@pineapple2 oh really?! That's interesting. I'm actually due to ovulate Friday not Thursday so I'm the same as you. Thank god we dtd 8th and 11th! Hopefully I'm covered. I will have to use OPKs moving forward if we don't conceive this time.

pineapple2 · 12/02/2020 13:53

@dogvscat
I have a pretty regular cycle of 28 days and according to my app it's the 14th I should ovulate but I did an opk and it said I ovulated on the 11th..we dtd last night, the 8th and 10th..
First time using preseed this time after all the good reviews...fingers crossed

dogvscat · 12/02/2020 11:22

Can I join? I'm in my fertile window too, AF due 27th. How often are you DTD? We did Saturday and yesterday and planning to do tomorrow and Saturday, I just hope that's enough. I don't use OPK's so I'm just going off apps and CM. @paintfairy what CD will you be on Thursday? That's when I am due to ovulate, I'm pretty regular at 28 days so will be CD14 for me
