March bus

Just thought I'd start a March bus for anyone just edging into the next month for testing/AF due!

I'll start with my stats:

Trying for baby #2 with a 2.5yo DD
Cycle 2 (although first full cycle after having the implant removed)
CD1 today
AF/BFP due sometime after 5th March depending on what my cycle wants to do this month!

@littletandme I'm not sure on the ovulation side as I'm pretty new to this! Can I just ask what app you use? :)

littletandme · 17/02/2020 18:50

Oh guys, I'm so confused. These are my OPKs and today (and also on CD7) I have EWCM. Temps are really erratic, it's annoying the hell out of me. Not high enough this morning to suggest I've ovulated overnight and I was hoping the opk would be positive tonight as it seemed to be gearing back up again but it's gone lighter than yesterday's!! Wtf Sad

@littletandme @Hatepickinganame oh I've read the tattoist of auschwitz. It was excellent. My sister is currently reading cilkas story so I'll be reading it on e she's done. It actually got my really into auschwitz stories which may be a bit grim but I find them interesting (heartbreaking) and think it's good to know about the history of it all. I've just started reading one called "the nine hundred" which is about some of the 1st young women to get transportwd there. I'll let you know how it goes.

Admittedly I usually read light weight and easy read chic lit and I have read some since I read the Tätowierer.

Have you read Eve of Man @Hatepickinganame? The 2nd book is our this year (it's going to be a trilogy) and it's excellent. I couldn't put it down. I think it's the 1st book I've enjoyed that much since I read Harry Potter as a child/teen.

P. S. I enjoy book chat! Please share any recommendations 🙂

@Sdoo4 folic acid isn't for conception, it's to prevent spinal malformation in the foetus. It is very important to prevent spina bifida x

Midge28 · 17/02/2020 14:56

@Sdoo4 Folic acid is good to take when TTC as it helps prevent spinal deformity (I think) in the foetus if you're successful. I think they recommend taking it for a month before getting pregnant. :)
Sorry you got your hopes up! I do it every month Confused

Midge28 · 17/02/2020 14:53

Hi All,
I'm new here so I hope you don't mind me joining!! (Feel free to tell me to go away!)
This is mth 3 ttc, although I'm a little confused!

Usually my cycle is ~27days,
Last AF was 19th Jan, O'd 1st Feb.

This month my AF arrived at 12dpo?? Very crampy and 1st day was heavy, then spotting/light for two days, and now nothing.
I'm v confused as usually AF is heavy for >3 of at least 5 days!! I don't think it was IB as day one was heavy and tested today (off AF) and BFN.

I feel like this has messed up my cycle and now I won't know when I'm due to O or anything. I'm confused and grateful for any advice.
Other than that, I'm jumping on the March bus! Smile

FX for us all!!!

Sdoo4 · 17/02/2020 14:49

I’d like to join in please. AF came 3 days late at the start of the month so got my hopes up thinking it wasn’t coming. Next AF should be due around the 12th March and I have a 33 day cycle so fertility window should be starting the end of this week and into next week but DTD every other day just incase it’s not accurate.

I see above people taking folic acid etc, should I start taking this? Does it make a difference? Really hoping this month is the month although it is only our second trying.

karenkeys · 17/02/2020 14:15

I’m feeling guilty as I forgot to take my folic acid and vitamin D supplements yesterday, as I was out for dinner for a change and usually take them after dinner. Hopefully one day won’t make a big difference 😟

Hope you’re all feeling positive about this month!

paintfairy · 17/02/2020 13:29

I don't know which bus I belong on now. 😂 Ovulation was either Wednesday (feb) or yesterday (March). So I'll kind of hover......

Story of my life. Never quite fit anywhere. 🤪

Franklydear · 17/02/2020 12:28

Fertility window on, allegedly, so lots of DTD and relax until mid march, don't worry, that tune will change soon enough...

littletandme · 17/02/2020 08:59

My app doesn't know what to think this month, was originally predicting ov quite late in my cycle but then had a positive opk really early so it had my at ovulating on CD7! Now every day I don't get a raised temp I have to manually tell it I haven't ovulated and it just moves it on by a day 🙄

OP posts:
NChangeForNoReason · 17/02/2020 08:39

Ovulation is supposed to be today, AF due 1st March - going out on 29th so deffo won't be early testing Confused

And so the dreaded 2WW starts all over again!!!

Hatepickinganame · 16/02/2020 19:11

@littletandme ive never really read any thrillers, i still read YA fantasy ( twilight 😂) and i love a good second world war novel. To be fair what i should do is finishing writing my own bloody book before i have a baby taking up all my time lol

littletandme · 16/02/2020 17:54

@Hatepickinganame oh god, I haven't read a "proper" book in years, the last one I read in the space of a week was Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris, if you psychological thriller type things. I currently have the first in the series of Jackie Collins books which I started on our last holiday as a bit of light (total trash but guilty pleasure type) reading but I've not finished that yet!

@Sausage1990 im definitely feeling more positive, the chat with oh about actively trying made me feel better lol i did feel like i was more keen than him even though weve discussed it before coming off contraceptive. Turns out he's just as on board as me and apparently more so (i was thinking one more, he's apparently thinking about more 😂) due to ov around 26th feb according to my app, which is CD16 of 30 so sounds about right. Still avoiding opks at the moment, too worried ill be putting too much pressure on us. Will see how this month goes! Every time i see ewcm it'll be dtd time 😂

@littletandme sounds amazing, any books you can recommend? Last good one i read was cilkas story, the sequel to the tattooist of auschwitz x

littletandme · 16/02/2020 16:19

Hi everyone, I think we should practise some self care and love for the rest of this month. I know I find it difficult to take time for myself and getting so stressed with TTC it really gets me down. Think I need to pick up some books again and do some reading to destress!

Sausage1990 · 16/02/2020 15:51

Hi everyone I'm officially moving to the march bus too!

Currently in cycle 3 TTC for #1. I'm not due to ovulate until the beginning of March (I have long cycles) so I'm just going to chill for a bit & enjoy this quiet time before all the POAS starts again haha.
I'll likely use opk and track my CM again this month but will definitely be BD more than the last 2 cycles. DH is fully on board with more frequent BD (as you can imagine lol) as he's super keen for babies.

I'm with you @Hatepickinganame I've got good vibes for March Smile I feel like it's going to bring us luck!!!

Franklydear · 16/02/2020 14:31

I came off the pill in November, managed to convince myself I was pregnant after a very light short period?, but I guess not, so in the march bus we go

Lottieloux · 16/02/2020 14:14

Hi lovelies wanting to join this thread, bit of background
Found out I was pregnant on the 23rd December but miscarried on the 12th jan. First AF post Mx started this morning so hoping to get back on the bus as soon as. Ordered some cb digital opk to use with the cheapies. Hopefully this is the month for baby dust for us🌈

Franklydear · 16/02/2020 14:04

Hi all, just trying again

littletandme · 16/02/2020 12:54

Hi @Hatepickinganame I've been straddling both buses but I think I'm now properly on the March bus after an ovulation false alarm very early on 🤦🏻‍♀️ I even got EWCM the same day as a positive opk but then my temp didn't increase and OPKs have been a bit all over the place since.

Hi @littletandme @lola871 and all the other feb bus names i recognise 👋 and hi to all the ones i dont haha officially moving myself to the march bus now, cd7 today, AF due 12th march and refusing to test early this time 😂 hope everyone is well and good luck to all!!

Lola871 · 16/02/2020 11:35

Hi all, hope everyone's having a lovely weekend. Just checking in, currently on CD6, not due to ov until CD16-18 so nothing happening for the next week really! Then I'll start OPKs and go from there.

I've decided to set some goals for the cycle to keep my mind on other things. So I'm aiming for 1kg weight loss this cycle, along with 2 runs a week, 2 weight training sessions a week, and 2 sport sessions a week (apart from the running this is my normal routine so shouldn't be too much of a stretch!)

Anyone else have any goals for the cycle? Besides getting pregnant obviously!!

MrsB2019x · 16/02/2020 11:21

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine’s Day! Flowers

Currently sat on CD8.. still spotting and I’m so over it now 🙄
