golds · 21/10/2004 09:35

Congrats georgesmum

Twiga we seem to be together on this one.
CD31 officially 1 day late (or could be 3 days late).

Last night I had heart burn and AF cramps ?????
This is my first month off the pill (I had only be taking it for 3 months) before going on the pill my cyle was anything from 28-30 days more often than not it would be 28.

Got no money and can't get out today, so will have to wait until Saturday to test. I really hope I get the result I'm hoping for

Sexyandhappy · 21/10/2004 09:31

Well I am waiting for postman to show up as I might get my tests today..... I bought 10 (maybe 9 too many ??).... but I am starting to think... I must be pregnant I am on CD 55 (not tested before) but have no serious symptom at all.... if I am pg.... I have NO clue when I concieved and I could be as much as 7 weeks pregnant!!!! Looked in a book and earliest EDD would be 3 May.

I am getting carried awy here !!!!!!!

mariella · 21/10/2004 09:25

hi everyone and congratulations to georgesmummy! maybe this incredibly long thread is a lucky one as everyone says. well af has finally finished, I'm on cd6, will have to start bding soon I guess since I heard that the first month after taking out the mirena is your most fertile, maybe I'll get lucky?! want do use opks this month to check that I'm ovulating properly again, never used them before, what day should I start using them? I usually have a clockwork 30 day cycle. I've gota pack with 7 tests in (clearblue i think).

Twiga · 21/10/2004 09:19

Bagpuss, sorry you're feeling rubbish, poor you x

Bibi, how annoying, will they be able to sort it all out quickly, as it's their mistake? I hope so x

Still tackling the ironing - it seems to multiply faster than i can do it, am determined to get to the bottom of the basket - distraction is a wonderful thing! Non-stop rain and wind here, not very cheery.

LipstickMum · 21/10/2004 09:01

nasa, as if this thread isn't long and confusing enough without ppl changing names

LipstickMum · 21/10/2004 09:00

Morning Bagpuss, so sorry you're feeling vile .

I am starting BDing today or tomorrow, and carrying on over the weekend. Wish me luck

runtus · 21/10/2004 08:35

Congrats Georgesmummy - fab news! What did your dh say??

Moschops - we have almost the same history! I am also 29 ttc#1 and have just been referred for tests to see if oving, waiting to go and have the blood test next week......I came off the pill in May, so I am also waiting for ybody to calm down a bit. If I only knew 10 years ago what nightmare it is getting the pill out of your system. They dont tell you that do they?! At least the hot flushes and acne have abated now though....

Sorry to hear about the hospital f**k up Bibi20 the last thing you want to do is wait all over again . Just not fair is it?

Bagpuss30 · 21/10/2004 08:23

Morning everyone. CD28 here. Can't tell if I have af cramps or not as dd and I have now caught ds's bug and have been throwing up last night and this morning . Waiting for my food shopping to be delivered today. Can't believe tomorrow is testing day and I hope I feel better by then.

Hello to any new people I have missed and welcome to the best thread ever .

Congratulations to Georgesmummy, number seven and counting .

CD31 and counting x

moschops · 20/10/2004 20:22

hi again everyone

blimey didn't have a chance to check in today and this thread has just taken me ages to catch up on!

to answer some questions that were asked ;

i was on Microgynon 30 but been on various pills for the last ten years.

i am now 29 ttc #1

i had to wait 90 days for my first AF after stopping in march, 43 days for the cycle after that and am now at day seventysomething (stopped counting!)i went to the doctors on the 12th Oct and she said it wasn't unusual for a womans cycle to take this long to get back to normal but to put my mind at rest she sent me for blood tests. They are testing for LH, FSH, LFT, TFT and also a rubella test.i will get the results next week.

for the two weeks before my appointment i had AF pains nearly everyday, negative pregnancy test on day of docs apt. on sunday morning i woke up with really sore boobs and they still hurt (i've never suffered this ever)

sorry that turned into an essay!!

this has just been quite frustrating because i don't know what the hell is going on with my body!

MommyD · 20/10/2004 19:30

GerogesMummy - How fantastic. How exciting! . The lines do get darker.... test again in a couple of days and do tell DH now!

GeorgesMummy · 20/10/2004 19:28

Thanks everyone. Good Luck to all of you testing at the weekend (if you can wait that long!)
Lots and lots of Babydust to everyone on this thread. ~~~~~~~~~~*

LipstickMum · 20/10/2004 19:11

Cool GM, see you on the other thread, and enjoy your celebrations tonight!!!

Babydust for everyone else!!!!

~~~~~~~~*
PS. I believe it is extra good luck to the others if the latest graduate spreads lots and lots of babydust
Twiga · 20/10/2004 19:01
Congratulations Georgesmummy, a line is a line - medisave ones come out a bit lighter than normal tests from what I can gather from folk that have posted in the past. My positive with a medisave test was feint too with my pg back in July. Our 7th graduate!
Hulababy · 20/10/2004 18:59
Georgesmum - congratulations! Any BFP is a BFP!!! Doesn't matter how faint the line is. You'll probably find it gets darker with time as the HCG (?) gets stronger.
GeorgesMummy · 20/10/2004 18:56
Oh and I bought a job lot of 10 tests so still have 6 to go, I'm sure I'll get though all of them just t o make sure.
GeorgesMummy · 20/10/2004 18:54
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you LipstickMum You're right I will tell DH later and do another test in a few days. I'll hopefully see you over on the June thread very soon!
LipstickMum · 20/10/2004 18:04
Ummmm it depends on your dh as to whether you tell him or not. I'm sure he'll want to know as soon as you do, wont he?? Do you have anymore testers? If you do, wait until you really are a few days late then test again, just for the sheer hell of it if nothing else The level of hormone (hCG)will have gone up over those days and you will get a darker line if all is progressing well. Otherwise I would just assume you are!!!! Wooo hooooooooooooooooo!!! What a thread!!
GeorgesMummy · 20/10/2004 17:54
Thanks LipstickMum , I really hope you're right. I have been feeling pg the past week or so but as I tested too early on Sunday and it was a BFN I was just looking forward to next month. I only tested out of curiosity today and got a real shock when I saw a line, that's why I repeated it another two times. Do you think I should tell my DH tonight or wait another few days til I've tested again? Also, do you think it's worth me getting a First Response test as this may have a darker line? Sorry about all the questions, I am ttc number 2 but the first time round was so easy I find it very hard to believe it can be the same this time.
LipstickMum · 20/10/2004 17:49
I have read on MN in the past that "a line, is a line, is a line" When I did mine the line was faint, when I rptd it when I was 3 days late, it was very dark. So perhaps test again in a few days to be sure. Otherwise, COngratulatrions
