Good luck to you (and to everyone else of course)

Hi MommyD Pain isn't when your plans go pear shaped - argh!

I'm on CD26 so on a waiting game. As it is also first month of TTC (#2) and just come off the pill I have no idea when AF is due, although I do think I OVd on CD18.

MommyD · 03/10/2004 08:27

Morning all! cd 11 today and dh goes away for the week tomorrow.
Very unlikely to happen for me this month (my first month of trying for #3!)
Good Luck all!

Miaou · 02/10/2004 23:28

Dh should hopefully be back Tuesday, weather permitting! Raigmore seems to be quite nice, only dealt with the childrens inpatient department so far, and have heard varying birth stories, but it gets a good appraisal on Dr Foster, which is reassuring. I would have to leave the island at least two weeks before I was due, can't leave it any later really just in case - not allowed to fly in a helicopter when in labour, and it's at least a four hour journey by lifeboat and ambulance (done that too!!)

Twiga · 02/10/2004 23:13

Ahha, got ya - haven't seen too much of the west coast, dh and I cycled 250 miles around Dumfries and Galloway a couple of summers back. We keep meaning to get out to some of the islands, and further north on that side of things. Sounds like Af timed well this cycle - will he get across soon? Inverness is a lovely city, dh really enjoyed working in the hospital when he was doing his medical training. Lived at Kinloss for a while as a kid so know the area quite well. Don't make them too jumpy on the boat when you eventually get to having db, could make for an interesting story - Grampian headliner even !

Miaou · 02/10/2004 22:37

Yes Twiga I live on Isle of Muck (in between Skye and Mull - ish) - I will have to travel to Inverness to have db (after having got pg first, that is!!)

And yes weather is crap atm - dh is stuck on mainland - thank god I have got AF!!!

Twiga · 02/10/2004 22:35

Miaou, that's great another one of us in Scotland - are you getting the same dodgy weather as us up here? When you say offshore is that your job, or are you on an island (sense of geography's pants so not sure which one)?

{{{{{hugs}}}}} MrsWednesday, don't feel bad about feeling down - got a similar situation here with our friends in that one couple just had and another couple we know are due two weeks after what would have been our due date in March 05. It is such a weird time emotionally, happy for them but gutted for your own situation - all part of the process. Hang on in there and hopefully some happy news this month!?! Have a lovely party x

MrsWednesday · 02/10/2004 18:21

Thanks for your kind messages. Thank god for this place - I can get it out of my system here and put a brave face on for everyone else.

Have a fun Saturday night everyone.

chrissey14 · 02/10/2004 18:19

Hi there chaps. Dh is away and can't get back until Tues - .

Twiga - I didn't know you were up my neck of the woods! (Well, slightly more so than others anyway) - I am on the West coast nr Mallaig/Fort William (offshore though)

Hulababy · 02/10/2004 17:11

There is a thread here where you can get 27 OV kits for £13 - a MNetter selling them. I was interested but talking DH round would take time. So please feel free to have a look and buy if you wish.

Tessiebear · 02/10/2004 14:43

I did thankyou Mrs W - and no its not pathetic!!! Getting a BFN is ALWAYS horrid and there is nothing worse than being surrounded by new babies of friends when that is what you want. And also where can we moan about these things apart from Mumsnet?!?

MrsWednesday · 02/10/2004 14:31

I feel ashamed of myself now Tessiebear, shouldn't have posted such a pathetic message!

Hope you had a lovely birthday.

Tessiebear · 02/10/2004 14:29

Sorry you are feeling S*itty Mrs Wednesday - enjoy your party tonight!!!

MrsWednesday · 02/10/2004 13:54

Good luck Georgesmummy and Muddaofsuburbia!

Anyone else testing soon? Runtus?

Hope you feel better very soon Minnie1.

I feeling in a bit of a mood (be warned...'woe is me' message coming up). Just received a birth announcement in the post this morning from an old friend who had her DS two months before I had my DS. She has just had a DD, two months before what would have been my due date if I hadn't m/c. It seems like everyone around me is getting pg so easily and sailing through their pregnancies without a care in the world, and I'm fed up of trying to act like it doesn't bother me when it does really.

Sorry, I need to give myself a slap round the face - I know I've got a lot to be grateful for so I should just pull myself together.

And to top it all off, I decided (foolishly) to test this morning, just to check I wasn't pg (off to a party tonight) and of course it was a BFN.

Sorry for going on. Will have a glass of wine or two tonight and try and cheer up!

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Tessiebear · 02/10/2004 13:33

Mudda of S and Georgesmum - GOOD LUCK - its sounds like you could be the first two graduates!!
Minnie - there are some things that just put you off BDing and the flu is one of them - hope you feel better soon!
Tania - happy BDing this week!

I am going to test / AF due this time next weekend! I keep imagining symptoms already - most are in my head but the lower backache is for real - anyone had any experience of this in early pg - or is it AF on her way

GeorgesMummy · 02/10/2004 13:20

Hello to everyone. Thanks for all your advice, it is so nice to speak to people who are in the same situation.I don't feel so crazy now for being convinced that the 5 negative tests I've taken already are all wrong! I still feel like I'm pg,the signs are so strong, I guess I will just have to wait a few more days and test again. The waiting is so hard though.
Good luck to everyone.

muddaofsuburbia · 02/10/2004 13:20

CD 28! Trying to keep calm and not imagine symptoms this time. I'm as regular as clockwork, but I suppose AF could still turn up this afternoon. Fingers, toes etc crossed
