roisin · 04/10/2004 22:36

I agree with Miaou and Hulababy; FWIW Sweetheart I thought you were very wise to pull out when you did, rather than continuing to post.

Roisin

Miaou · 04/10/2004 22:30

Hi there Sweetheart, I didn't get involved in the other thread Hula's referring to as I always run a mile from any disagreements (!), but just want to add my support for you here. Hula put a great post on the other thread at 10.16 which I echo entirely. All the best to you

Hulababy · 04/10/2004 22:21

Just a norte to Sweetheart - hi; how are you. I really hope your thread tonight hasn't upset or bothered you too much. I too have a little one with plenty of toys - and she's only 2.5, but she's the only child, only grandchild on both sides etc. so she is bound to get lots. I think you are doing fine and sked a genuine question. Sorry that some of the posts were not constructive in any way Take care; hope to see you back on here soon too

hester · 04/10/2004 19:00

Hi Cobweb - I'm thrilled you've come to share your babydust with us!

Hi Jeddah - I'm 40 too and have been trying for ages . It's really tough but the thing to remember is that most women our age CAN get pregnant, but it can take way longer - 18 mths to 2 years is not uncommon. Will this be your first child? Have you seen your doctor for a fertility check-up?

Hi krocket - I'm with you in spirit! CD19 and already getting aches and twinges. I MUCH prefer the (rare) months when I have no symptoms until AF starts. That way you get a couple of hours feeling upset, but most of the month is manageable. But this way you can't forget about it, you can't be absolutely sure you're not pregnant, and you can't be happy for over a week. It stinks!

Cobweb · 04/10/2004 17:30

Sorry I forgot to say hi Jeddah. Welcome xxx

Hulababy · 04/10/2004 17:27

Hi Cobweb; good to hear you are doing well, even if (understandably) a bit scared and nervous. Take care, and come and give us all lots of encouragment.

Hi jeddah and welcome

Cobweb · 04/10/2004 17:22

Thank you so much Sweetheart, Runtus, Minnie1, CP3 and MrsWednesday BIG HUGS

I am feeling ok. I went to see my doc last Wednesday just to have a chat about what happened last time. I spent the first 15 minutes in tears with worries and anxiety and the rest of it totally calm and level headed. So I guess it must be the hormones laugh

A few symptoms have kicked in like feeling sicky in the morning and in the evening and I have very very sore boobies and going to the loo every five minutes LOL

Trouble is like I said to the doctor that I am too scared even to acknowledge these symptoms and he said that every pregnancy is different and that the miscarriage happened for a very very good reason, which I know but its still good to get reassurance from the doc.

Once a few more weeks pass I hope that I can relax and enjoy it.

Thank you so much for listening to my rants hugs

Runtus darling I wish you all the luck in the world for the testing.

Thank you again love Cobweb xxx

Anyone out there with some tips!!!! never know it was so bloody difficult to get preggers!

MrsWednesday · 04/10/2004 16:46

Well I shall be sat unsociably on the settee tonight!

I think alterego could do with some hugs - has anyone seen her message on the TTC after m/c thread?

sweetheart · 04/10/2004 16:13

lol Mrs Wednesday!!!!

I'm meeting up with an old friend - we have to arrange dates about 2 months in advance to be sure we'll both be available.

Plus Mondays is my weight watchers weigh in so I can go and eat/drink whatever I want without feeling guilty!!!

MrsWednesday · 04/10/2004 16:07

Good luck Runtus!!!

Cobweb, we are all pleased to have you around - it means we've got one graduate on this thread already . How are you doing?

Sweetheart, it's not stop fun for you so far this week - socialising on a Monday? I am impressed!

MINNIE1 · 04/10/2004 15:26

Cobweb, Understand totally... I would be the same.. How are you feeling ???

runtus · 04/10/2004 15:18

Hello Cobweb - come on in. How are you feeling anyway?

sweetheart · 04/10/2004 15:07

Cobweb,

I think I speak for everyone when I say of course your allowed!!!!

Perhaps your presence will bring us all some good luck

Cobweb · 04/10/2004 15:05

Hi girls, don't know if I am allowed on this thread or not as I was on the other thread and a graduate

I just don't feel ready to be shouting from the rooftops and seem to want to cling to the familiarity of you lovely girls.

Hope you understand, but for those of you that don't, well I had a very traumatic miscarriage back in July and have only just found out that I am pregnant. Had a BFP on 23rd September and again on 27th and 29th but still can't believe it.

I know I am probably worrying unnecessarily, but I think I would prefer to stay here if I am allowed.

Cobweb xxx

Geordie · 04/10/2004 14:46

basically if af arrives in the am I count it as cd 1 if it arrives in the pm i count the next day as cd 1- think that came from the toni wecshler book!!

sweetheart · 04/10/2004 14:00

wow, thats very informative Geordie!!!

I never knew that about cd's. I always though whenever you started bleeding was day 1!!!!!

Geordie · 04/10/2004 13:51

Hi Kr,

basically when both lines are about equal on the persona sticks (or the one that starts off faint gets darker than the other one) that's O time- they are just the same as Opk's but the machine reads them.

as for cycle days- day one is the first day of full bleeding so if you start part way through day 28 then day one is day 29 (meaning you have a 28 day cycle) if day 28 is ful day of bleding then your cycle will be 27 days. CM is usually a sign that you are going to ov and should get bd!!

hth

sweetheart · 04/10/2004 13:49

sorry I meant 24-48 hours!!!!

sweetheart · 04/10/2004 13:48

if you get af on cd28 - it's actually cd1 and your cycle is 27 days.

I think getting cm means you will ovulate in the next 24-28 hours but not 100% sure on that one.

Medisave are a godsend aren't they - I ordered a load of ovulation kids last week. Am using the lid of dh's deodarant to collect my sample each morning as someone else euggested
