Cp4 you can however release more than one egg at a time, so you're possibly still odds on!

Twiga · 06/10/2004 13:40

Cp3 that's really close together, if you have twins I'll certainly volunteer for baby-sitting duty, wouldn't want to deprive you of the joy - will have to change your name to Cp4 !

cp3 · 06/10/2004 13:38

Thanx Krockett, [big sigh of relief face.]

Twiga, twins does not sound cute when i already have a one year old and a two year old who already get mistaken for twins. I tell you what if i should have multiple pregnancy you can have one

OP posts:
krocket · 06/10/2004 13:36

I think the short answer is no, you can't ovulate twice in your cycle.

Twiga · 06/10/2004 13:33

Not sure what the answer is CP3, but twins sound cute x

Twiga · 06/10/2004 13:32

Cheers Tania2, I'm doing the warm food bit just now as it happens - comfort food of chips and chicken nuggets !

cp3 · 06/10/2004 13:31

Thanks Hester and Krocket. Hester I'm relieved it's not just me, I feel like I'm going mad sometimes and although I'd love a big family, I really would settle for just one at the moment. As a residential social worker, I spend a lot of my time looking after other peoples kids and just want to be at home looking after my own - working from 2pm today and think I'll nip into the shop for chocolate on the way, boring two hour staff meeting to start the shift with - joy!

katzguk · 06/10/2004 13:27

thanks for all the congrats, feel like a fraud though having not posted on here before!! will continue to lurk here rather than the june thread not really ready to go public properly but want to chat and vioce concerns with people in same boat

Tania2 · 06/10/2004 13:26

Twigga so sorry that your feeling down. It will happen your body has done it b4. I know how you feel it took us several yrs to conceive ds.
I know iam going on about this chinese stuff (& it hasnt worked for me yet)but they beleive that if you have trouble conceiving or have mc its because of a cold womb. Try to eat warm foods and not eat or drink anything straight from the fridge and stay away from dairy mainly cheese as it blocks the system. The other girl that is doing the chinese medi stuff at the same place as me fell pg within 6 weeks of taking the stuff she had been ttc for 6 yrs failed ivf and had 3 mc she would be about 7 weeks pg now and so far so good all the other mc were earlier. Just another thing to think about and maybe add to the long list of things iam sure you are trying.

muddaofsuburbia · 06/10/2004 13:23

Only me and dh and you lot know atm. I wasn't even meant to tell you guys yet! I have no willpower - that could be cos I'm totally over the moon

Good luck to everyone else and congrats to Katzgut and MrsWed. Just going to wait it out a bit for a few weeks before (hopefully) making it onto a June thread.

Geordie · 06/10/2004 13:19

krocket · 06/10/2004 13:12

twiga

krocket · 06/10/2004 13:12

minnie - funnily enough i just bought some the other day from medisave so will try next month. I'm torn though, part of me wants to try and be relaxed about ttc because I feel that will help my chances IFYKWIM. But I won't be, I know!

hester · 06/10/2004 13:11

Yes, me. It's a killer, isn't it, Twiga? Feels like life is on hold, never sure whether to envisage a future with children or whether to start adjusting to a thought of life without. Plus, oscillating between wild hope and complete despair that it will never, ever happen.

So sorry you're having such a rough day. I've been trying for so long, and at times it has felt almost too much to bear. Plus in your case, still carrying the grief from the mc (so sorry you went through that). Give yourself a big hug, remind yourself that you are fertile, try to find a treat to cheer yourself up tonight.

Twiga · 06/10/2004 13:05

feeling fed up and tearful today, just an off day I guess but the whole ttc thing is getting me down, nearly three months since mc and it all feels like it's never going to happen. Am going to be looking after my neice for a week at the end of the month - she's 17 months old and gorgeous - but I'm worried that playing "mum" for a week is not going to help things, still going to do it though as love her to bits. Is any one else on this thread trying for their first?

Tania2 · 06/10/2004 12:55

MrsW, i have tried the green tea just cant stomach it mind you iam taking the most discusting chinese herbs.
Sorry katzgut i didnt say congrats b4 hope you are feeling well.

hester · 06/10/2004 12:47

Mudda, MrsW and Katzguk - congratulations! That's three graduates already - halfway to my target of six

But at the rate this thread is moving, the rest of us had better get a move on. TessieBear - you must be in agonies, waiting and wondering. The BFN is really not surprising on CD26. All fingers crossed for you!

MINNIE1 · 06/10/2004 12:39

Tessiebear,
Sore boobies???, sorry to ask, its a give away for me..

Tessiebear · 06/10/2004 12:36

Minnie - CD25 - am getting contradictory symptoms - AF mouth ulcers and spots on face - but feel sick too?!?

MINNIE1 · 06/10/2004 12:33

krocket,
Would you try ov test?? I'm goin to give them ago next month. (keeping positive as it won't be such a let down when AF arrives)Medisave have good prices online..

krocket · 06/10/2004 12:24

minnie - not near testing as know I'm not pregnant due to AF symptoms but am near end of cycle - CD22 (27 day cycle)

cp3 · 06/10/2004 12:23

Congrats mrswed, so pleased for you. This is lucky thread too.
