Morning
wow - lots of chatting going on!
am a bit worried now havign read that a normal leutal phase should be a minimum of 10 days. mine was only 8 days from my temp rise to AF appearing, and temp rise was 6 days after a positive OPK test and egg white CM. So should i book appointment to see my GP straight away or wait another month to see if this is a more regular pattern? it was a short cycle this month for me of only 28 days, usually it's 30-32 days.
doesn't make me feel good!

LipstickMum · 08/10/2004 10:17

Sorry to hear AF arrived Pamina, but yes, we know how you feel, just the body playing tricks on us . Another month, another opportunity

Good luck with your testing Runtus, will keep my fingers crossed for you.. and any others testing this weekend

Don't feel bad Minnie, I don't feel under too much pressure, certainly not from anything you said, am just generaaly nervous, you know how it is. In fact, for the first time, if I am not pg I will have a whole group of people who will know EXACTLY how I feel and that is fantastic.

I have been wondering whether I am feeling implantation pains or AF pains... I daren't hope it's the former! Am going to live it up in London and try to forget about ttc and all that for 2 days!!

runtus · 08/10/2004 10:04

CD39, still nothing.....testing again tonight. Don't think I am pg but still a glimmer of hope.....

sweetheart · 08/10/2004 09:58

I know it's been said before by - my you ladies can chat!!!!

Hi to Bagpuss, Pier and Spykid.

Tania2 - Re, your weekend away. Don't feel guilty. Enjoy your time away and use it as a reward. I bet your a fab mum all the time so you and your dh def deserve some alone time - esp at this stressful ttc time. Relax and enjoy - I bet your ds will have a great time with his nan.

Well I'm cd16 here. Had tummy pains yesterday and sort of watery cm so I dragged dh to the bedroom last night and insisted he impregnate me!!! Will be bding for England this weekend. Have yet to get a positive on the OPK's but I'm sure that will be in the next 2 days.

Runtus, are you about today. I hope your feeling brighter. If not just think - - - - -

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!! YYYEEAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

katzguk · 08/10/2004 09:53

MINNIE1 · 08/10/2004 09:40

katzguk, Dry biscuits and a loud radio, pretend your in the showe, put on the radio.. this may cover the sounds of you being sick.. A dry biscuit help me with alot of sickness at work..
Hope one of them work for you..

katzguk · 08/10/2004 09:29

would be fine except for the being sick bit DH tells me very kindly that i would be difficult to not notice!!! so ideas for covering up throwing up in the morning!

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 09:28

Katzguk - could you try really hard to pretent you are fine (even though you feel like sh*t?) He is a man after all and that usually means - totally unobservant, oblivious to what is going on around them etc

katzguk · 08/10/2004 09:23

hi minnie - not really a graduate but kinda!

anyhow need advice - don't want to tell people yet but DH's stepdad is staying this weekend only one night i think na di have morning sickness already, what do i do? the additional problem being its DD birthday party and don't want to say tummy bug because then should really cancel the party - help!!

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 09:19

Thanks Hester- i was worried i had missed my slot (so to speak) by not doing it last night!
Well, CD23 - for the whole month i kept THINKING i was OVing but without the "eggwhite" CM - now that i have experienced it i DEFINATLEY know i am about to OV! I feel so frustrated and impatient with this whole damn proceedure This month has so far felt like the longest of my entire life... the pressure to get DH to BD at the right time (he was really keen earlier in the month and now cant understand it when i tell him our earlier efforts were entirely fruitless!!!) We havnt BDed for the last week as we were exhausted and thought i had oved anyway and now to realise i havnt oved and to start again is quite annoying ... shouldnt it be fun?!? Anyway DH is exhausted with work but has said he will come home this morning to do the business - i think it may be our only opportunity this month as we have got a really busy weekend so i shall be laying with cushions under my bum for a fair part of this morning!!!

MINNIE1 · 08/10/2004 09:00

anyone that is temping can you give me your average temps?? (hope that makes sense)

Tessiebear, Wish i could help, good luck....

hester · 08/10/2004 08:51

Hi TessieBear - it varies, but I find I get fertile CM for a couple of days before ov. So get started now and keep going over the weekend!

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 08:08

Ladies URGENT QUESTION - started getting the "eggwhite" CM yesterday afternoon - no bding has happened yet as DH was working late _WHAT IS MY WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY ??? HOW LONG HAVE I GOT LEFT TO LURE HIM TO BED???????????? HOW LONG DO YOU GET THE CM FOR BEFORE OV???

MINNIE1 · 07/10/2004 21:47

LipstickMum, I am so sorry if i mad you feel like you have to graduate, It could be a good sign that you have the AF pains, Your only on CD20 so it could be an implantation pain (spelling)... Fingers crossed and relax... what flavour ice cream do you have your making me hungary..

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 21:13

I am going to be really nervous when it comes to testing, if I get that far, next week! KNowing that you all will be wondering who is graduating! Am having period type pains, don't know if it's implantation or AF . I think after this month I will make more of an effort into testing when I ovulate, so far I have being casual about it, BD'ing every other day around the time I think I do... blah, blah.
Sorry you feel low Slink, for whatever reason, it can be very draining. Hope you feel good soon.
I am going to have some choc Haagen Dazs

MINNIE1 · 07/10/2004 21:01

Slink, X~x~x~X~x~x~X baby dust, You can vent away on here.. when you do get PG (hoping very soon) she can be the first to know...

Welcome all new arivals hope your not long on this thread (meaning you all get PG very soon), ... x~X~X~X~X~X~X baby dust to you all..

Twiga, Good to hear your feeling better, and no testing until your really late, finger crossed..

GeorgesMummy, It could be a week b4 your AF comes, b4 you start getting PG symtoms, as PG and AF symtoms are really alike, Someone may have a better idea?

Tessiebear, You could be in with a good chance, Fingers crossed that you graduate..

Anyone due to test??

How are all the PG graduates, have you any symtoms,

Slink · 07/10/2004 19:35

God there is soo much to catch up on hi to all well i am debating whether to to do the ovl test i need to start next monday. Feel alittle crap spoke to a friend(if you can call her that, the ones that don't call you but you do) anyway she said "oh your still not preganat" great as if i need reminding. I know th problem is not BDING at the right time it's always before or after so i hope but dh is not good on demand (low sex drive). Well needed a moan binge eating at the mo too not a good sign.

Good luck to all sorry for bringing the mood down just feeling a little lonely at the mo xx

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 18:40

Welcome to Pier as well

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 18:39

Evening girls, these threads are unstoppable aren't they?? Can't leave for a second! I find it quite a mission to keep up with everyone's story, I may need to start taking notes

Sorry to hear about AF Pamina3
Welcome to spykid, hope you have lots and lots of luck on this thread

hester · 07/10/2004 18:08

Spykid - so glad you've joined us. I'm afraid you definitely do reduce your chances of conception by trying for a girl in this way, because you're deliberately avoiding your most fertile time of the month. However, you may be so burstingly fertile that this won't matter! I've known women who have chosen to do what you're doing for a few months, and then if it doesn't work just go for it all through the fertile period.

Pier - lovely to have you here, boosting the ranks of the first-timers. It sounds as though you've probably done it perfectly and can now give your poor guy a rest . Your temperature coming down again is probably just a fluke - IME temping isn't as reliable as other monitoring methods and I'm sure you have ovulated by now. Hope that helps and look forward to seeing more of you on this thread (but hopefully not too much more IYSWIM - MUCH prefer to have your company on an 'expecting' thread ).

Should add as health warning to all new posters: I am great at giving advice, having opinions and generally sounding like a know-all, but if I was that clever I'd be pg by now .

spykid · 07/10/2004 17:42

thanks Twiga
Also thought i'd mention that we have tried to sway the odds in favour of conceiving a girl by bding early in the month and stopping before ov.
Actually don't mind at all whether it's a boy or a girl, but thought it would be worth a shot at adressing the male to female ratio in our house...'why should we put the loo seat down, you're the only girl?!!!!!'
Just hope I have't reduced chances of becoming pg by stopping bd before ov.

Twiga · 07/10/2004 17:10

Welcome to the thread Spykid ++++++*+
