hi there. thanks for the warm welcome sorry i used caps last time, i didn't know about the shouting thing. ya learn something new everyday! thanks for the head's up. anyway, i was 3 days late when i tested. it took a couple hours to see a line in the test window, and i read you can't trust it after the alotted time, so....i waited. well, now still no period. it's day 6 of being late now. no af in sight. never been late before, but i guess there is a first time for everything. i have a 33 day cycle, without fail. iam supposed to go for a pelvic ultrasound tonight, cause i have been complaining about cramps since ovulation time last month. they never went away. very strange for me. i thought af was going to come early even! that's how it felt! i got panicy, and made the ultrasound appt, to check out my organs. this was before i was even late. then last night i had the worst dream, that i went to the appt. tonight, and not only was i not pregnant, but my organs were totally destroyed, and they told me there is no way in hell, i could ever possibly bare a child. i was totally devestated in my dream, and the most scarey part to me is, i have had dreams in the past that have come true. now iam beyond nervous!! my brain might just be going into overdrive, but it's scarey none the less. i just lost my 9 1/2 year old son 3 months back, and i'd beyond saving myself, if i couldn't have any chidren with my husband. (he's 42, 43 in 2 months w/o children) iam 29. There is also, alot of reproductive cancers on my mom's side, that's why i always must be extra careful. my mom's mom died by 40, and my mom had a hysterectomy by then. ughhh lucky me right?? anyway, i don't know what to think right now, all i can do is wait and see! if iam ok physically, and not pregnant, iam glad i'll have people to talk to, on this board, in the same situation. that is comforting. i know i have (as expected) been super stressed over the loss of my son. i was told that he would never make it till 6 months old, so we all knew the day was going to come eventually, his situation was always terminal, though i liked to hide in denial, since the years went by, and he was still here, but he was in constant pain, so i know he was better off where he is now, but selfish me, just wants him back. i guess that's normal, but i know he's no longer in pain now, and for that, iam comforted. i have been stressed before, i have had a real hard life, but it has never caused me to miss a cycle, so i doubt that's it, and i had my period soon after he passed, so who knows?? thanks for everything!! fingers crossed baby dust to all!!

Hulababy · 12/10/2004 15:14

yingers - sorry about AF

CD7 for me. AF still around, well kind of. Can't believe how long it is lasting. Whilst on pill it's normally a day or two at the most.

Made4it · 12/10/2004 15:13

Hi all, just wanted to check in. Still feeling rotten CD2/25 so AF is still in full swing. I haven't forgiven her for showing up uninvited yet! LOL.

Cosybear - this is my first time ttc #1. Although I did accidentally get preg when I was young, 17 . Had an abor at the time - so now I am crossing everything that I've got that my body will let me do it again & isnt' punishing me. I also secretly fear that the procedure messed me up, but that's just my mind playing with me .

Twiga - I loved your tip about logging things down. I've done it just now - great.

Cobweb - always thinking of you & sending you oddles of glue.

Babydust to you all

CHRIZ · 12/10/2004 15:07

Good luck this month

MINNIE1 · 12/10/2004 14:05

Thank you Bagpuss30 could do with it over the next few days ...

yingers74 · 12/10/2004 14:04

one other thing, what does AF mean?

yingers74 · 12/10/2004 14:04

darn, period started so am starting the whole countdown again. Have only been trying for a short while, u forget how upsetting it gets. I feel very dissappointed.

Good luck to all

Bagpuss30 · 12/10/2004 13:57

Minnie1 I have a very good recipe for chocolate cake that is to die for which I may share in due course .

Tessiebear, I think you can get CM at odd times. I have a pattern in my cycle of one long and one shorter cycle but the CM is always at roughly the same CD although OV is usually much later on the longer cycle so sometimes the two don't match up IYSWIM. Sorry if that's not clear. Why not look on fertility friend for some hints there, although I'm not temping I do sometimes find it a useful source of information.

Sallie · 12/10/2004 13:55

maybe what I should do is leave the tests in my desk at work (locked of course) and test when I am in on Thursday. That way I won't be tempted tomorrow. Have got the Boots tests which are supposedly very sensitive....

Tessiebear · 12/10/2004 13:24

Sallie - if you know for sure that you OVed on CD 18 or 19 - i wouldnt test until CD32. Sorry - my sensible head wouldnt test until CD32 - the normal me would test today just in case!! (But be prepared for a "too early" BFN)

Tessiebear · 12/10/2004 13:22

that doesnt make sense - on CD22 i got the "egg-white CM" in the afternoon and evening. Havnt had any since. BDed on CD 23 am now on cd 27.

Sallie · 12/10/2004 13:21

cd 27 - am soooo tempted to test - have some in my desk as am very miserable at work, missing the kids etc etc. However, ovulated on days 18 and 19 according to persona so may be too early....what do you think????

Tessiebear · 12/10/2004 13:20

Minnie - yes i WANT to test tommorow but i am not entirely sure when i OVed and think it will be way too early
Question for all - is it possible to get "egg-white" CM AFTER ovulation and can you get it at any other time apart from OV. The reason is i got it for 1 day (well afternoon and evening) then no more on cd22 -?

runtus · 12/10/2004 13:05

Left over Gin - there is no such thing!

hester · 12/10/2004 13:01

I think it's possibly too early, Sallie. Though that probably wouldn't stop me...

runtus
Bring a plastic bag for the left over gin and we can supply the straws!!! who knows a good bakery for double choc cake.. Think i'll need it this wkend... Prepare for the BFN..
