Is this the longest thread ever on Mumsnet? Hi everyone. I'm happy to say AF came today, bang on schedule, and 2 days after my mirena was removed. So the rollercoaster starts here, it is very exciting to think we will be starting to ttc #4 in just a week or so! I still can't believe I'm going for a fourth, sometimes I think I'm mad but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end (when he/she is about 5 lol). Anyway I've told my dh that we have six months to concieve otherwise I'm giving up, because I can't cope with babies and nappies for ever. So it is up to fate really which I feel happy with. good luck to everyone and jeddah, you could easily still be pg you know you tested much too soon, don't start on the red bull and vodka yet lol

crazylegs · 16/10/2004 12:23

Tania2 and Jeddah - Thanks for the welcome.
Jeddah hope you have a good holiday regardless of the result just think about all that Sangria if you are BFN. Agree 14dpo is the norm for a standard test depending on your cycle - can use an early (first response) slightly earlier than 14dpo - I think.

Good Luck

Tania2 · 16/10/2004 12:20

Jeddah,
I have endo and have had cysts in the past that have ruptured but it doesnt feel anything like that. Its not really painful. just there. I know that my right ovary does ov as the month that i had a scan from my gyno that ovary had just ovulated. I also have been getting really bad wind IYKWIM.

jeddah · 16/10/2004 11:47

tania2,
I got pain in my left side on cd23 it lasted for about 15 mins, it was 3 am and I woke dh for bd!!

you say yours is from cd9 and still continues.....maybe not ovulation pain? maybe something else...... are you uaually fit and well with no history of gynae probs?.......?

Tania2 · 16/10/2004 11:11

Sorry Crazylegs how rude of me.......welcome to the ttc club lovely bunch of girls we have here i would like to think that it is the nicest thread to be on. good luck and hope you get that BFP.

Tania2 · 16/10/2004 11:09

Good luck Jeddah fingers crossed that af doesnt arrive and you get that BFP.
8 days till my af is due dont feel anything really. Nipples are a bit sore to touch though. trouble is that i cant remember what it felt like to be pg at the begining cause i didnt find out i was pg with ds until i was 7 weeks. all i remember is that i was really tired and felt sick and that my stomach was really itchy but cant remember if that was b4 af was due or after??? hope this all makes sence. have been getting pain in my right ovary since CD9 what do you think that could be i thought i was ov but surely i wouldn't still be getting it. Its like a throbing pain has anyone had this b4????

jeddah · 16/10/2004 10:27

mommyd and hulababy.......thanks for your thoughts!

14dpo will be on fri! we go to barcelona on wed so if I dont see af I will take a test with me!
its so strange I just feel that it is very unlikely!

anyway thanks again.....
lipstick mum......how many dpo did you test? (i bet you are still in shock!

Hulababy · 16/10/2004 08:37

Jeddah - don't give up yet. I agree that 7DPO is a bit early. Normally it suggests 14DPO I think.

CD11 here. So the fun bit begins now for a while

MommyD · 16/10/2004 08:22

jeddah - i would say 7dpo is WAY too early to get a positive!!! I would definitely say that all is not lost this cycle

jeddah · 16/10/2004 08:17

tania2 great to here from you......so you think I still have a chance?????? I thought if you tested too early....it would still show a poss line only very faint?

I will leave it for another 4 or 5 days then!

Crazylegs....welcome, I am a new comer also
I am 41 in Nov!!!!!!!! first ttc
cd30 ov22 so I am 8dpo, just tested bfn! this is our 10th month! (but I was on the pill for 20 yrs so I will give my self at least 1 yr-18months)Its great to chat!

Tania2 · 15/10/2004 23:32

Jeddah you may have tested too early wait and see you may still have a chance to be pg.
Hope your DH follows through with his promise its a real hard thing to give up the fags. i havent smoked since i had found out that i was pg with ds it made me really sick b4 i had found out i was pg then when i found out no more fags and decided to never touch them again. feel so much better for it and very proud of myself.
Nice car!!!

crazylegs · 15/10/2004 23:30

Hello all - I am new, my friend Cosybear showed me the site.

I have be trying for three months and am waiting to test. My sister tried for 2.5 years so not sure if it will be quicker for me if at all. Sister is 8 months with a boy on the way - all going well. I am 36 not as old as cosybear! Will be in the States on holiday when I am due to test. Can test at the beginning of my holiday so at least I can indulge in lots of margaritas!! Opps here comes my dh hope he hasn't drunk too much at his night out.

jeddah · 15/10/2004 21:26

Well girls, geta load of this!!!!!!

Tested tonight as sick of thinking about it!(before I got your messages)
Rob did it with me (used my urine!!!!) cd29 ov 22. so only 7dpo....................GUESS WHAT............BFN!

Bit chessed off, but just relieved that I know.

The other great thing....... we have just picked up our new Audi a3 5 door sports 2L (BUYING ALL THE NICE STUFF BEFORE BABIES COME ALONG!) and best bit....had a heart to heart with my dh and he has decided to give up the fags as we go to Barcelona for 4 days and he is planning this to be the start of things to come! So I am pleased. Need to see it though now!

So just waiting for af...... wish she would hurry up and I can start another cycle!

Thanks for the answers to my question, its just so great to know that someone is there for you!

Not sure if this is the done thing....but I am dying to know if anyone lives in my neck of the woods Helperby. 17 miles north of York.

SHELY · 15/10/2004 19:01

Geordie · 15/10/2004 18:48

SHELY · 15/10/2004 18:38

Sallie · 15/10/2004 14:11

I was at work till 10.30pm last night and feel absolutely dreadful today. Having a really really heavy AF again. Last month had an early m/c but this month there seems no reason for it. Anyone experiencing the same? This is my third af since stopping bf my dd.

hester · 15/10/2004 13:37

hester · 15/10/2004 12:48

I can't wait to be able to do Harry Potter birthday parties My godson loves HP even more than he loves me (hard to believe, I know) and we have had a great time over the last few years going to the movies and reading the books together. Sadly he is now hitting puberty and getting into rap music and girls, so i will need to borrow someone else's sprog - or produce my own - in time for the last two books.

Spykid, perhaps you could send over your little boy along with the sorting hat cake, and take care of all my problems at once?
