Hey girls... thought I'd make a new post I'm struggling to find new ones 😂 I'm 28 nearly 29 and my other half is also the same age! I'm currently on my period and this is the month we have decided to start trying! I'm so excited but also do not want to get my Hope's up as I know it can be a very long journey to get that BFP! Anyone else trying this month? I'm looking to get ovulation sticks to increase my chances xxx

@Pink15 According to a random internet site spots can be a sign of early pregnancy ha. I’m hoping that I will calm down with the symptom spotting if I start another cycle.

1987Nic · 08/03/2020 20:32

Anyone over 30 in the group?, I’m 32 and 33 in November, my boyfriend is also 33 this year.

Pink15 · 08/03/2020 20:32

@1987Nic funnily enough I've had quite bad spots last few days too but I think it started even before ovulation so doubt it's anything. But no other symptoms! Is spots even an early pregnancy sign?! 😂

1987Nic · 08/03/2020 20:27

Hi @Jessmary94, good luck to you. Are you trying for your first child?

1987Nic · 08/03/2020 20:25

@Pink15 It’s also been on my mind far too much this month, I think I’ve got over excited with it being the first month. I’ve had a heavy feeling low down and I’ve broke out in spots but probably too early to be anything. How are you?, have you had any symptoms? x

rathernotshare · 08/03/2020 20:24

@Jessmary94 welcome and good luck! I'm also a 94-er 😊

Jessmary94 · 08/03/2020 19:40

Hey, thought I'd join, this is our first month ttc after coming off the pill. Last pill was 23rd Feb and my bleed was 26-29 Feb. Havent tracked ovulation this month, but have dtd every other day since my withdrawal bleed so hoping there is a chance of catching on of I have ovulate. Can't wait to get started properly

Sitchervice · 08/03/2020 18:45

AF over I think so back on the game. Hoping for a positive for this month!

Pink15 · 08/03/2020 18:38

@1987Nic how are you getting on? It's been a lot on my mind this weekend 😔 any symptoms yet? X

rathernotshare · 08/03/2020 18:34

@Rachlou8 I'm in a similar position, not long off contraception (1/2) and hoping I'm one of the lucky ones! Still waiting for AF after my withdrawal bleed but testing negative. Fingers crossed for you xx

KrissyMB · 06/03/2020 21:58

@Rachlou8 I would hang fire and test in a few weeks! Drs wont probably do anything than send you away to retest @rathernotshare eeek we are in the same boat. Fingers crossed for us all xx

rathernotshare · 06/03/2020 19:14

@KrissyMB I'm waiting for my first too, it's driving me crazy! My mum keeps telling me she DTD once to conceive each of her 3 kids so hoping for her super hormones 😂

Rachlou8 · 06/03/2020 10:40

I’m hoping I am but time will tell. Should I make a drs appointment ? Could it have been inmplantation bleeding ?

KrissyMB · 06/03/2020 09:58

@Rachlou8 I was exactly the same. Had mine out on the 12th and felt beyond nauseous and the taste of coffee and tea was horrible but now back to normal so guessing it was just change in hormones. Waiting until my first period comes and take it from there, and just enjoy time with Hubby! X

Rachlou8 · 05/03/2020 18:30

I am trying too conceive had my Mirena taken out 4/2 bled for 2 days light 25/2 negative tests so far is this too early too test pregnancy symptoms galore

1987Nic · 05/03/2020 18:25

@KaylieElizabeth hopefully you will start to get peak days very soon. Smile
@rathernotshare
I got my tests from groupon (usually a voucher code to get discount too.

KaylieElizabeth · 05/03/2020 08:55

@rathernotshare haha well DTD needs to count now right? Let me know how you get on x

rathernotshare · 05/03/2020 08:44

@1987Nic thank you I'll have a look! Totally new at this!

@KaylieElizabeth thanks I'll look it up. To be honest, I'm not one to DTD every day so if i can just make sure I do it when it's really important 😂 DH will be gutted when he sees I'm testing for ovulation, lowers his chances 🤣

KaylieElizabeth · 05/03/2020 07:46

@1987Nic thank you me too. For some reason had 19 days of high but no peak this month 😤

KaylieElizabeth · 05/03/2020 07:45

@rathernotshare I use the connect clear blue ones - they expensive in the shop but are a lot cheaper on EBay. They connect to your phone and track everything for you. And tell you when to test from - they are handy to do to ensure your DTD on the right times x

1987Nic · 05/03/2020 07:11

Hi @rathernotshare inside my clear blue ovulation tests there’s a guide to when to start depending on how long your cycle length is. Good luck to you.

rathernotshare · 04/03/2020 22:21

Hello all! New to Mumsnet but wondering if anyone has any tips? I stopped my pill at the end of Jan, had a brief 'fake period' and still waiting for my real first period 😫 been using Ovia app but only since stopping the pill so not a lot has gone on! Keep seeing about ovulation tests and stuff, do you use them every day? Or around the time you think it will be? Any take their temperature daily? Thank you for any help and good luck to you all 😘😘

1987Nic · 04/03/2020 22:12

@Pink15 This is the first time I’ve had a two week wait and had already planned to go for a meal with my best friend and a cocktail so will probably just have one or two, I don’t drink very often. I’m sure we will both be fine. Smile

Pink15 · 04/03/2020 21:55

@1987Nic so difficult with social events and alcohol! Do you drink in your 2WW? It was my friends birthday so I just had a glass of wine a couple of months ago during 2WW and I think it's ok hopefully 🙈

1987Nic · 04/03/2020 21:03

@Littlepeas2 Aw same as me, not sure how I’ll get round not drinking and also not telling anyone if I’m pregnant.
