Preseed: does it extend sperm life?

Hello everyone! Does anyone know if preseed also extends sperm life as well as helping the little swimmers through the cervix? Thanks x

I got pregnant on preseed too, as did my friend who had been TTC for two years til I gave her my stash , first month and she finally got pregnant.

I swear by it

Piixxiiee · 31/01/2020 21:53

I got pregnant first time using pressed. Also used agnus castus for luteal phase

If you have a normal amount of your own CM, there is no proven benefit to using fertility lubricants (they don't even claim this themselves). They could help if you produce an unusually low amount of your own.

@misstiggiwinkle I'm 3 years into TTC no2 (lost track of how many cycles) so willing to try most things for a marginal gain!!

misstiggiwinkle · 31/01/2020 20:15

Don't want to be a rain cloud but I used this and just about anything else going for nearly a year before I finally got pregnant with my DD2. Tracked Ov, temped, regular cycle, dtd every 2 days etc. Just didn't get that illusive bfp. Think I probably had a few chemicals along the way and it did eventually happen so don't give up. I was just one of those people that it takes a while for. I'm just starting the journey for dc3 and have bulk ordered my pressed. No harm in trying!

AliSxo · 31/01/2020 20:04

I've just brought some today!! I'm hoping it works I'm on cycle 3 of ttc xx

Catlady32 · 31/01/2020 18:49

I was trying for a year (had an ectopic in that time too) but I finally tried pre-seed and the sperm meets egg plan together in November and got pregnant. Who can say if it was just my time or whether it was the pre-seed but I'd recommend it anyway!! X

3isthemagic · 31/01/2020 18:23

Have been using pre-seed (with a soft cup this last cycle). Need to re-stock, wondering whether to switch to Conceive Plus - anybody tried both & had a preference?

ellabars · 29/01/2020 18:49

@A08x yes my luteal phase is only about 6-8 days :( good luck to you! X

@ellabars is your luteal phase shorter than normal? Hopefully soon, there are so many positive preseed stories out there. I’m only CD5, my ovulation has been quite late on the times I have used OPKs, so as per my app I’m not due to ovulate for another 2 weeks. Got OPKs this month again so hoping I ovulate a bit sooner!

Good luck to you ❤️ x

ellabars · 29/01/2020 16:16

@A08x I'm due to ovulate on the 31st. I have a luteal phase defect though so I've just gotta try and not get my hopes up for a while. Hopefully I can get a BFP soon!! Good luck to you. Where abouts are you at? X

@SoonToBeMrs91 I might give that a go if I'm unsuccessful with the preseed :) thank you!

I also got pregnant using preseed ☺️

ellabars · 29/01/2020 16:11

@Mycrazylife85 I have heard far more good reviews though. So I'm hopeful x

@ellabars where abouts in cycle are you? Will be interesting to see how it works for us this month! x

@SoonToBeMrs91 congrats!💗 So sorry about previous MC 😔 x

SoonToBeMrs91 · 29/01/2020 13:35

I've used conceive+. Got pregnant every time we've used it, the previous 3 ended up in MC. Now we're pregnant again 4 weeks 3 days.

Mycrazylife85 · 29/01/2020 13:31

I bought some and haven't used it as I've heard some people say it irritated them or gave them cystitis. I didn't fancy the risk but we'll see in a few months.

elc19 · 29/01/2020 11:58

I've used this twice and inserted a soft cup after and fallen pregnant both times. I truly believe it helps or at least creates a healthier environment for sperm to travel.

Good luck! X

ellabars · 29/01/2020 09:01

@A08x update me on how it goes! X

ellabars · 29/01/2020 09:01

@Chardonnay73 I will give it a go! Thank you! X

It doesn’t extend sperm life per se, all it does it provide a larger area of non-hostile environment for them to survive in. So if you have little to no ewcm it can act in a similar way to give them a safe environment to journey through

A08x · 28/01/2020 22:57

@ellabars I’m on cycle 5 of trying this month & have bought pre-seed to try for the first time too! I’m also so excited to try it! Feeling more positive than stressed this month x

Chardonnay73 · 28/01/2020 22:48

I got pregnant the first time I used it too after trying, admittedly for 3 months only ! I’ll never know if it worked or if it was the cause of my second boy if the sperm does swim faster due to it! Give it a try, you never know 😊
