TTC after miscarriage - February 2020

Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

@Ibaadsmummy I was 2 weeks late for my first AF xx

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 15:54

I just hate the unknown

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 15:53

I'm not sure when AF due as mc on 30th jan so not had af yet but my cycle is usually 25 days so if I classed day 1 as day of mc it would be today but I'm guessing I'm gonna be a week late then usual one so unsure really

FireflyGirl · 24/02/2020 14:13

@AlviesMam if you've just had the one faint test, try not to worry (I know, kettle calling pot over here!). There's a number of reasons, and they're not all bad.

Could be:

  • You ovulated late.
  • Your urine was dilute.
  • The control line on those tests doesn't go particularly dark.

With my CP the lines were incredibly faint, and didn't get any darker over the course of a week.

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 13:49

@AlviesMam could you do first response test today and see what the line looks like 💗 handhold xx

Leok83 · 24/02/2020 13:45

@FireflyGirl congratulations!! Such great news! I’m so happy to see all the BFPs coming in❤️ Ur attitude is great too..there’s no reason why this shouldn’t be a healthy pregnancy so hopefully you get to let urself be excited about it all!

@lbaadsmummy good luck testing again tomorrow! Hopefully the faint lines show up better for you.

AlviesMam · 24/02/2020 13:25

Test*

AlviesMam · 24/02/2020 13:25

Having a tinge of pink in my discharge when wiping hard (sorry for tmi) nothing comes on tissue when wiping normal or nothing on underwear. I'm worried. Could this be something to do with my nest being a faint positive? no cramps or anything :(

ChampooPapi · 24/02/2020 11:57

@StephyRose you have much more of a chance it'll go right! You must be so happy to have got that second line though, fantastic news. Keep us updated please @FireflyGirl as well on everything, you have been on a incredibly tough journey up to this point. I can understand wigging out, you must be very up and down but we are here every step 💜

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 11:35

Ditto your sentiment @FireflyGirl ... who says it is going to go wrong? We have every chance it will go right. 💗

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 11:33

@Anny27 so cannot wait for your BFP. You deserve it so much. ❤🌈🌈🤞🍀

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 11:19

Sending you a big hug @StephyRose 💗 cramping and spotting is so common but can understand your anxiety xxx

@fireflygirl 3rd time lucky 💗💗

FireflyGirl · 24/02/2020 10:56

Thanks for the congratulations! I can't concentrate at work this morning!

@ChampooPapi we started TTC #2 last May, caught straight away but knew something wasn't right and it ended in mmc that lasted 3 months over summer and was very traumatic. We started TTC again in October and caught first time again, but that ended at 5+3, then had a break over Christmas and started TTC again last month. So 2 cycles, really.

Physically, I'm feeling fine, not really got any symptoms apart from twinging in my uterus. I'm trying to stop myself getting excited, because I know it's early and it could all go wrong, but then I keep thinking, why shouldn't it go right this time?

When is AF due, @Ibaadsmummy? (I'm on my phone, so can't easily refer back to the thread)

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 10:47

Congratulations @FireflyGirl, wonderful news!! 🎉🌈 How are you feeling?

Thank you @Fizzl. I'm having it again this morning and I panicked at work to the point where i was almost shaking ... but I have to be rational. My cramping is slight, the spotting is very minimal .... to a certain extent, this is normal.

But you are right, it's so bloody hard but I need to remember to feel grateful too. 💗 Can't wait for your BFP, I feel it coming ...... 💗💗 xx

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 10:26

@Anny27 thanks I never knew that xxx feeling anxious bloody mc makes you stressed before and after bfp xx

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 10:24

Less sensitive I meant* meaning they need more hcg to show positivw

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 10:24

Congratulations @FireflyGirl 💗

@Ibaadsmummy test again in the morning - digitalis are mor sensitive :)

Michette · 24/02/2020 10:21

Tentative congrats @FireflyGirl 👍🏻🥳
Hope it sticks :)
But it looks good!!!!!!

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 10:16

I did a stupid thing used first morning urine to do a boots strip and a clear blue not digital n in sure I saw really really faint on both so used my one digital I had but squeezed abit more pee out of myself for that one and nothing not pregnant.....problem is it wont same pee so could that mean I might be pregnant even though digital said no

ChampooPapi · 24/02/2020 10:15

@FireflyGirl tentative congratulations , this is a lucky thread! How long were you trying again since your loss? How are you feeling?! 🌈♥️

FireflyGirl · 24/02/2020 10:06

Thanks @Michette - got a bfp.

I'm tentatively excited, because it's a good line for the day before AF is due, but as I have short cycles I'm only 3+5, so still got a way to go!

This seems to be the lucky thread, fingers crossed for lots more BFPs this week 🤞

Michette · 24/02/2020 09:17

Thanks @BS9790 for your schedule. All noted! And will probably start having smoothies more often :)

Michette · 24/02/2020 09:16

Good luck testing @FireflyGirl x

Fizzl · 24/02/2020 07:47

Ah @StephyRose you're bound to be nervous. I think it's totally normal after our experiences - I actually feel quite envious of people now who will get positive tests and just feel excitement. I know that although I will be excited, I'm also going to be terrified!

I also wouldn't worry (easier said than done I know!) about the spotting, totally normal in early pregnancy and probably just implantation.

Hi @ChampooPapi and @milscookie Glad to see you popping back again! I'm doing well, we're finally almost back to ttc so that will give me something new to obsess about soon no doubt 😂 how are you doing?

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 06:42

Thank you lovely people for all your congratulations. 💗💙👶🏼🌈 And for calming my nerves about the discharge. I got a bit more and a little spotting but it has gone now and I did a test on Sunday morning just to check and line still a bright vivid pink 🤞🤞

Despite all the BFPs with the line getting increasingly darker on each one, I am still a nervous wreck. Have worked out mid-April will put me at the 12 week mark and it feels lifetime away.

I am wiping myself every 20 mins just to check ... I will give myself thrush at this rate! 🤣 Feel so excited but so so anxious at the same time.

I really hope this is our rainbow. 🌈🌈

Good luck to everyone testing soon, cant wait to see some more BFP's - I know there are amongst us somewhere! 😋💗

Welcome all newbies, sorry to find you here but this is a very safe and caring space ❤❤
