TTC after miscarriage - February 2020

Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

TTC after miscarriage - February 2020
LITTLEPICKLES88 · 30/01/2020 15:51

Hey am I ok to join this thread too? I have been TTC for just over 2 years now, 2 miscarriages, so terrified to be pregnant again but want to at the same time. I have Pcos so tracking my periods are near impossible they are usually about 8-10 weeks apart but sometimes this can be completely different it's so irregular! Nice to meet everyone ❤️

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 30/01/2020 15:44

@toomanyleggings sorry lovely Sad
Good luck everyone for February xxx

toomanyleggings · 30/01/2020 15:08

I'm out this month. Got AF in work today exactly 28 days after Erpc. I don't think I even ovulated. Have been testing on ovulation sticks for two weeks and only had a positive when I was still getting pregnancy tests that were positive. At least I can start afresh now

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 30/01/2020 14:59

Oh no @milscookie I'm so sorry that she reared her ugly f head right after the positive frerSad

MilsCookie · 30/01/2020 11:23

Good morning ladies. Hope you're all getting on okay. I was on the Jan group but was holding off joining here until af/bfp.

I'm gutted because I had a faint line on a FRER yesterday, but I woke up this morning having soaked my pj bottoms in blood 😑. That's right, AF showed up didn't she!! Just as I was getting my hopes up! Little f*cker 🙄🤬. Oh well - here's to February!

I'm sorry to say I'm going to try and stay off Mumsnet this month as I think it was making me more anxious last month... but I wanted to say hello and I'll be popping in from time to time.
Thank you for keeping me company on the Jan thread as it certainly made me feel less lonely, and your support and advice was invaluable.

Sending lots of good luck and baby dust to all you lovely ladies with your TTC journeys! 🌈 💫 xxx

@terrible ahh nice!!! Enjoy the BDing 🥳

TerribleImagination · 30/01/2020 09:59

Eurgh that’s so frustrating @SweetpeaOrMarigold @toomanyleggings @kkr168! I hope you all get some answers soon!

I finally got my static smiley / peak this morning, at last!! This cycle (first after MC) has deffo been different, so for anyone cracking on with TTC soon after I really recommend using OPK’s. I didn’t straight after the MC and can now see why we were unlucky! My usual signs of ovulation aren’t really matching up with the OPK’s so far, so I’m glad I’ve got that knowledge! Been DTD every other day since CD8 (I’m now CD16) so cracking on with 2 days in a row now, semi SMEP style - fingers crossed!! 🤞🏻

I have ewcm too, opk yesterday was negative, I'll test again later

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 30/01/2020 08:40

Thanks everyone. Wanted to throw the frer at the wall!
Sorry @toomanyleggings and @kkr168 you are both in limbo too.
@Leok83 I have no idea honestly. Is first after MC and I didn't use opk and my body didn't really tell me either, do we just dtd lots. Had cramps and nausea left over for a week after bleeding stopped but was bnf 3 days into the MC so I've just treated it like a normal period as it was about 10 days.
Ordered some more frers as I have nothing else to do. Mild cramps since dtd last night with that pink staining but all clear now. In fact its almost ewcm.

toomanyleggings · 30/01/2020 08:22

@SweetpeaOrMarigold I'm same boat negative test but no af as yet. Frustrating

kkr168 · 30/01/2020 08:02

@SweetpeaOrMarigold I'm in the same boat! AF was due Friday, although may have changed as it's my 1st since mc. I'm now 14dpo, I stopped testing after getting peak on opk, so maybe I ovulated a 2nd time & that's delayed AF?

Leok83 · 30/01/2020 07:38

@SweetpeaOrMarigold sorry to hear it’s negative, do you think maybe you could have ovulated a bit later than you thought? It’s horrible to be left in limbo not knowing one way or another what’s happening.

Anny27 · 30/01/2020 07:37

Sorry @SweetpeaOrMarigold :(

@fireflygirl welcome lovely, sorry AF arrived!

Cd5 today for me so end of period and then back to DTD tomorrow

FireflyGirl · 30/01/2020 07:27

Morning, just moving over from the January board as AF started this morning, so back to CD1.

Flowers @SweetpeaOrMarigold, sorry you're not getting any answers. Fingers crossed for you.

shhhhs · 30/01/2020 07:01

@SweetpeaOrMarigold sorry to hear it's negative, maybe it's just too early. Whatever the situation the wait it killer ☹️ hope you get your BFP so soon ❤️

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 30/01/2020 06:36

Its negative and I'm not bleeding.
I hate this.

Michette · 29/01/2020 21:11

@Bath2020 impatient women i hear you !
One of my friends actually got me a pregnancy book for impatient women like me and many of us and it said that we should have been pregnant YESTERDAY! Made me smile...

Good luck everyone.

CD9 for me. Taking a break from DTD today to get ready for the weekend when it should be fertile window !

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 29/01/2020 20:45

Planning to poas tomorrow as AF due, my boobs have grown 2 sizes in a week and I'm shattered.
Just dtd and (tmi sorry) when I cleaned up it was pink stained Sad
Just waiting now to see which way it's going to go. Just sat on the toilet and cried. Last time I bled it was my MC.
This is so hard.

Sully84 · 29/01/2020 20:39

Hey, thought I would join the thread as been lurking for a while.

I miscarried in November at 7.5 weeks. After five weeks of bleeding I then had the surgical procedure. Started TTC as soon as I got a negative test but got AF 29 days after procedure. Hoping that means my body is back to normal routine. Ovulated a couple of days ago but not sure if we did the deed at the right times/enough. Just in the waiting period now.
Wishing everyone a BFP as soon as possible x

Moominmiss · 29/01/2020 19:38

@shhhhs I’m the same! I literally have no idea how some women stay so string willed and hold off testing until af is late! I’m like possibly 8dpo? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Let’s start testing 🙈🤦🏼‍♀️😂
It would be lovely to not find out until later and then not have the pregnancy seemingly last for years lol but I know exactly what I’m like and I know I also won’t ever change 😂

shhhhs · 29/01/2020 18:18

@moominmiss hopefully they are only faint because it's early 🤞 I'm the same as you in regards to testing early, I just can't resist. DH has suggested we don't test until I have symptoms this time as AF will probably be later than expected dut to miscarraige, but there's no way I'll be waiting, I'll give it another week and then the FRER will be purchased for sure!! 😂 I have friends who don't find out for months and I just think 'how is that even possible!!'

Moominmiss · 29/01/2020 17:59

@shhhhs thank you! It’s nice to know I might not have line eye after all.
I just feel they’re so so faint that it might turn into a chemical pregnancy. I hate that I’m a total poas addict and test literally all the time. Means I always find out super early and then have such a long worrying wait 🙈
I only have those ic tests here and I can’t get to a shop until tomorrow. If my partner gets home anytime soon I can maybe send him out though lol.

@Ttcbn1 I’m so sorry you’ve sadly been through this horrible awful experience. I really wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.
There’s nothing wrong at all with looking forward and wanting to start ttc straight away when you’re physically able to.
My bleeding began on 18th December and lasted for 2 weeks just lightly bleeding until I finally miscarried on 1st January. The bleeding stopped almost instantly and by 2nd January I had no bleeding whatsoever, not even a spot when wiping. So we started dtd from then onwards.
There’s no right or wrong way to deal with your situation, everyone is different and will have their own way of getting through it. For me it was ttc as soon as I could. For others they might want to wait weeks or months before they feel ready.
Big hugs though, it’s such an awful time. I’ve only recently joined this thread but the ladies in here have all been wonderful and there seems to be so much support so I’m sure you’ll be in good hands here xx

shhhhs · 29/01/2020 17:57

@Ttcbn1 I'm so sorry that is happening to you, it really breaks my heart, it's just such a shit time. I'm now 19 days post MC and finally feel back to normal both physically and emotionally, although do still have episodes of feeling really crap. There's literally nothing that can be said to make it better, I hope the bleeding stops quickly for you ❤️

Ttcbn1 · 29/01/2020 17:11

Hi all, sorry to hear your stories but is nice to know we all have a place to talk. I miscarried on Monday and like all of yours, was awful, physically and emotionally. Really eager to conceive and start a family though and the thought of waiting when me and my OH were so excited is awful. I want to start trying again once the bleeding has stopped (although at this moment it sounds awful... I know that once the bleeding has stopped il want to give it another go) xx
