Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

I took another this morning and scanned it with the glow app and the Premom app and both said high.
I reckon it will probably peak today at some point. I don’t want to test at work so will test later this evening.
It cycle day 29 for me since miscarriage started.

@Kona84 honestly the physical tests aren’t a good way to compare as they dry and change colour or lose dye.
Best is to take a clear picture with light after 10min of doing the test or until the maximum time to read it..

Kona84 · 17/02/2020 22:11

@michette yeah that’s what’s putting me off believing that i am approaching ovulation.
I wish I’d kept the physical tests from the last few days so I could compare other than on my phone

Michette · 17/02/2020 22:08

@kona84 i dont think these are positive yet.
But it’s progressing!
Also try to test with same batch same tests as different tests react differently

Kona84 · 17/02/2020 22:08

@Bestofyou1982 so sorry for your loss.

The photos below are my Lh from yesterday approx 12 noon on the boots strip and my LH today at 9pm. Is it normal to see such a leap? (The one with 3 tests is the boots tests)

Oh my god I think I’m heading towards my first ovulation since miscarrying on the 22/01 today is CD28 based on 1 at miscarriage bleed.
I got my first negative pregnancy test a few days ago so I’m fairly sure this is a positive LH I’ll post some photos below for context.
My only worry is that the latest positive is on a different brand than I normally use. I previously used boots strips.
I now have some easyathome strips, are these more sensitive?
The first two photos are my negative HCG and my Negative LH on 14/2

@Leok83 Thank you for your insight. Anyway not even my second cycle after the miscarriage has been completely back to normal I ovulated the 15th day instead of the usual 13th. My period was late a couple of days and I thought maybe I was pregnant again, hoping that maybe we are really more fertile after a miscarriage. So now I'm back to start in this sadistic game called conception Sad

Bestofyou1982 · 17/02/2020 21:14

But late to the group. Hope it9s ok to tag on. Have had a bit of a week. Started to miscarry on Wednesday and it's been a slow process. It was early days about 6weeks but after 3years plus of trying and an ivf cycle it's first time we'd seen a positive test so had gotten our hopes up. But wasn't to be feeling bit fed up.
Surprised how many people there are on this group, sorry to read all of the difficult situations you find yourself in. xx

Ljm0101 · 17/02/2020 20:43

I'm joining the club and having a gin, after all it is half term 😂 xx

ChampooPapi · 17/02/2020 19:41

@clarewithoutani good for you! Go for it, it hard enough isn't it and Cor blimy I felt better swilling a few wines and watching some truly deliciously crap telly occasionally.

I hangover certainly takes your mind off conception and pregnancy as well 😆, then you kind of spend the next week getting back to good health and more time has passed without too much obsessing.

Cheers 😄

clarewithoutani · 17/02/2020 19:36

BFN yesterday and feel like I'm invisible at home this evening so hitting the prosecco 🥂

Ljm0101 · 17/02/2020 18:22

How long would everyone leave it to test again? I last tested yesterday evening. I have had very sensitive boobs but apart from that no symptoms really. I'm just getting into that crazy phase as I thought I'd already done the TWW Confused. We've DTD quite a lot this month so I'm keeping everything crossed but who knows. Thank you xx

Michette · 17/02/2020 15:54

@Cometa08 @Ljm0101 @leok i also think first day of proper MC bleed is start of cycle.
And also ovulated 5 days after getting my first hpt negative so the ovulation had been gearing up even with pregnancy hormones!

That being said cycles after MC have been much longer and my first proper cycle after i ovulated at CD20 compared to bang on CD14 normally

Leok83 · 17/02/2020 15:45

@Ljm0101 @Cometa08 you can actually ovulate when levels low and not 0. I ovulated last Tuesday confirmed opk and BBT..shows clear temp shift. Had HCG measured on the Wednesday so 1 day after and HCG still at 10.7, so as long as levels very low it is definitely still possible to ovulate. From what I’ve seen 1st day of bleeding is considered as 1st day of cycle but don’t expect the cycle to be a regular one. Likely will ovulate later and cycle will be longer. I normally have 28 day cycle and ov CD16/17 and didn’t ov until cycle day 35 now since MC. Everyone is different so no set normal as far as I can see.

Ibaadsmummy · 17/02/2020 15:13

Okkkk two weeks wait gonna start from today need to not stress and test early

Ljm0101 · 17/02/2020 15:12

@Cometa08 thank you very much, I did a hpt after I finished bleeding to ensure I was negative which I was but I have no idea when I ovulated. Guess I will just have to wait and see, thank you so much for replying it's nice to know I'm not alone. Xx

Cometa08 · 17/02/2020 14:10

@Ljm0101 My cycle after the miscarriage was 35 days long (it is normally 25 days) and I believe I ovulated the 24th day (it is normally the 13th). Before the new cycle can start again the pregnancy hormone must go back to zero. The first day of miscarriage should not be considered like the first day of the period and the start of the new cycle. When the pregnancy hormone will go back to zero your body will start stimolating the ovaries to release an egg. It is tricky to find out exactly when you are going to ovulate, LH tests and bbt recording should help.

Michette · 17/02/2020 13:43

@ChampooPapi yeah no you are right i won’t test until friday. That’s it.
Thursday got my driving exam so defo won’t be testing!

Friday morning it is!

Ljm0101 · 17/02/2020 13:08

Hi
I've only posted once on this thread at the very beginning but I've got a lot from reading your stories. I'm really confused I would normally have a clockwork 29 day cycle. I began to miscarry on 17th January at 7 weeks. I am now on CD 32 with no sign of Af but also did a hpt yesterday and it was bfn. I know from the sounds of it a few people are having the same problems. I suppose I just want a bit of reassurance as I just really want to be pregnant again.
Xxx

ChampooPapi · 17/02/2020 13:07

@Michette please wait untill the end of the week, don't do it to yourself, it's not worth it at all. Even Thursday, but today, big no no. Hold strong, we believe in you!

gizmo167 · 17/02/2020 12:58

Hi, wondering if I can join. Had an unexpected BFP but sadly had miscarriage at 5.5wks on 25 January. Totally unexpected pregnancy as I'm 41 and have pcos so didnt expect it at all! I have a DD (6) and been with my partner now for just over a year, we had been ntnp for the last 6 months

Michette · 17/02/2020 12:20

@Anny27 so it all worked out for the best at the end! Delayed ovulation but healthy for dtd!

I dont know if i should test early... i am worried that it will bring me down if negative.
And worried about CP too so might just wait until Friday!

@champoopapi i hope!
That being said it’s a recurring theme with me - around 8 dpo 😄

But hey as you say... we can dream a bit!

ChampooPapi · 17/02/2020 12:05

@Anny27 that's great! I really hope one of you guys are lucky, I feel like this week is going to be a good one for everyone. And then it's March and spring will be here, we are moving forward ladies 💪🤗

ChampooPapi · 17/02/2020 12:03

@Michette sounds pretty positive, I know, I know....we arnt supposed to bring our hopes up to high as then when they are dashed it's harder but hey we can dream can't we. And those symptoms could be nothing but they also could be something, your aloud to get excited.

I can't wait to log on and see the bfp from this thread end of the month, there are going to be a few that's for sure 🌈👣
