Please tell me it's a dodgy test

Hi Everyone
On the mini pill but felt so run down for a couple of weeks now and I had a pack of Morrisons tests in the cupboard after my friend wound me up for putting weight on (the cow lol)
But anyway, I peed on it. Wasn't a pristine shot as I just put it right at the top as my 2yr old was running around.
Do these pink dye tests ever give you that questionable shadow that blue dye tests give? It's so faint like clear blue used to be

It has made us rethink what we want in life.. Maybe we'll try towards the end of this year when we are ready.
Having had 2 ectopic pregnancies, a bad labour with my DD and then a year of not being able to get pregnant with my ex, I am in no rush to get back on that wagon yet x

Wonder if they will invent a sensitive, non evaporation line and easy to ready test one day lol DP went from being anxious about us being pregnant to being disappointed that we're not haha x

Hope that helps with the mini pill, also to add with the mini pill most people doesn't get periods where the combined you have your 7 day break so you know your not pregnant and it's much more reliable! The mini pill isn't at all in my experience

There's no need to take a break on the combined pill.

'The 'period' on the pill is entirely artificial and it is just your womb's response to stopping the pill (and therefore the hormones) for a few days. It is called a 'hormone withdrawal bleed'. It does not show that you are not pregnant.'

Statistically the combined pill is no better than the mini pill and the mini pill does stop ovulation in most women (about 60%) and also thins the lining of the uterus to stop implantation. Taken correctly it is 99% effective.

She bought it me for Xmas as a joke, so imagine it's in date. If only it wasn't! Lol

Thank you for pill info. I didn't realise I still ovulated with me not having periods, so I'm glad I know I do now! So does the egg just evaporate then if it doesn't come out with AF? I feel quote naive now, given I'm 32.
I chose the mini because I break out, get headaches and fat on the combined and the Dr said this would be better. Although I still put loads of weight on Blush

DP picked me up a clear blue test for the morning as FR was sold out x

Just to check- was the one that tested positive in date? If it's been in your cupboard for an age it may not be accurate.

I work in sexual health and know that even if you miss 1 pill of the mini pill when your ovulating you can get pregnant as the mini pill doesn't stop you ovulating like the combined does it just thickens the mucus in the vagina trying to stop the sperm from entering.. we get lots of women pregnant who are on the mini pill and they take it religiously every day at the same time. Now of course they may just day they do but you have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. If you could go into the combined it's better. If your over 35, and BMI is over 30 and a smoker or family history of DVT then it's a no go. You can have 2 of these considerations only. Thank you Smile Just checked my pills and I missed one on the 1st Jan. Might not mean anything though. I'll have to keep you posted. I'm so torn by that first test x

@Pudding01 4 weeks means 2 weeks past conception so more like beginning of January sometime unless it's pregnancy that's not viable in which case possibly before but hcg not rising properly.

@Pudding01 mine looked like that a couple of days before I missed my period so very early I would say. Not more than 4 weeks

I can see the line on the original test, so i can see what everyone else can see. I just couldn't quite work out whether it was an evaporation line or a positive line. Totally freaked me out when it appeared! lol When i was trying a couple of years ago with my ex, i got my heart broken a few times with the clear blue tests and those pesky grey lines. The 2 negatives have calmed me down, but i know i need to do another one this week with a FR

These threads always fill up with posters screaming “Congratulations!! I can see a line!!”, op. Even when there clearly isn’t. It’s a bit freaky, actually.

Thanks for your opinions everyone. I am actually on the mini pill, so you can imagine the shock if I am! I went back to Morrisons and they didn't have any good brands, so used the other one out the previous box and what the pharmacist called a cheapy one on the same wee after 3 hours. Both came back BFN, which has calmed my breathing a bit! but aware that it could also be that it needed to be a morning wee, with the other being so faint if it was a positive.

Please tell me it's a dodgy test
