How is everyone today ladies? X

BabyB19 · 28/04/2020 09:26

I second @MrsCl19 I loved on beige foods the first trimester, basically bagel for breakfast sad which for lunch and something on toast for tea. I just didn't want anything. If I didn't eat as soon as I opened my eyes I felt sick all day so had a packet of ginger biscuits down the side of the bed and as soon as the alarm went off I just had like two biscuits and it was enough until I had my breakfast. I'm finishing the same now with the heartburn if I start to get hungry it kicks off terribly x

Jonesbabynumber1 · 28/04/2020 07:22

@MrsCl19 good advice, at moment the thought of fatty foods makes me feel even more nauseous. My husband cooked bacon the other day i had to open every window in the house before I boffed 🤢

Wow that’s amazing!

MrsCl19 · 28/04/2020 06:58

@Jonesbabynumber1 if you are nauseous my advice is eat little and often and whatever you fancy.. I lived off chips the first few weeks 🤣

I'm feeling good! Last day of my first trimester today which I'm glad about! Can feel baby wiggling now to which is nice.

Jonesbabynumber1 · 28/04/2020 06:52

@MrsCl19 morning starting to feel more relaxed now I’m over AF which was due yesterday. Working from home is helping as feeling like I don’t have to put a front on in work so that’s a silver lining. I have lost my appetite and feeling nauseous but managing to eat some Food, still waking up early but just retrying to remain relaxed. I’m suddenly very conscious of what I’m eating any one else felt like that? How are you today?

Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/04/2020 11:33

Yes please both @Tbug and @BabyB19 ow gosh yes don’t add me to that yet I’m happy to be ignorant to that at moment.

I completely agree @MrsCl19 that's why I set it up but then everyone here seemed to get their bfps here but I think I will move back over to the other one, I'll make sure you're tagged in it x I love hearing the stories from other women of their births I feel more in control x

MrsCl19 · 27/04/2020 10:32

@BabyB19 honestly every mum I've met tells you how their births went and I'm deffo not excluded in that love talking about it 🤣 wish people didn't use bad experiences in such a negative way though doesn't help ftm

I'm happy to use the graduate bfp post to chat I'm conscious not to upset anyone chatting about pregnancy

@october18 congratulations I'm 14 weeks on Wednesday so we are both due around the same time ! 😁

Morning everyone, I was on this thread a while back and still have it bookmarked to follow. So so lovely to see all these positive posts and I hope everything goes well for everyone. I had a chemical back in early January and got my BFP the next month so 16 weeks today. It's difficult at the moment with all the uncertainty and I really feel for first time mums especially as you have nothing to compare the experience too in terms of antenatal care etc. Anyway, hope you don't mind me popping on to say hi.

BabyB19 · 27/04/2020 10:04

There's a few pregnancy boards, I started one just for this group graduates who got bfps but there's only a couple of messages so far so when everyone's ready I can tag you in that one if you want? @Jonesbabynumber1 I did one last night asking what to really expect on labour and it's had 200 replies already, it's an eye opener 🤣

Tbug · 27/04/2020 10:01

I'm on one called Christmas babies if you want me to add you? X

Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/04/2020 09:45

@BabyB19 yes I’m really trying to relax I think being at home is helping as not feeling urgency to run to toilet to check and aim to Try and just test once a day in morning. I really mean it when I say it’s so good to have this chat. What pregnancy group you on I’m wondering if it’s time or whether to leave it a little longer?

I really hope you can take my advice and just enjoy this beginning bit and not let anxiety take over like I did, I regret not being able to enjoy this beginning bit 🥰 @Jonesbabynumber1 I'm just doing loads of research atm as a ftm with no antenatal classes to go to etc I feel a bit in the dark about what's about to happen, and don't think having a baby is something you can just wing is it.
Glad your manager has been supportive now it's a good sign she will be ongoing 👍🏼
Any updates on you @dizzy85 hope you're ok xx

Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/04/2020 09:23

@BabyB19 No one checking on woman’s mental health or doing any screening receptionist did ask any skilled questions which is poor. Especially as pregnant woman classed as vulnerable group at moment. I’m ok did test this morning and line looks stronger, so thats a relief but doing some knicker checking as AF due today and feel a bit anxious. Told my manager and she was surprisingly supportive and advised I can work from home at moment. Nothing else left to do but to take each day as it comes ❤️❤️❤️

Glad you've pushed to speak to a gp @Jonesbabynumber1 so people must be just left to get on with absolutely no help atm. How you doing? I haven't bloody slept again, got 2 hours last night 😭 hope you don't all have this to look forward to!

@MrsCl19 I can not believe how much that other board has taken off my phone has gone ape shit with all the messages! 🤣 it's not for the faint hearted either 🤣👍🏼

Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/04/2020 09:15

GP was nice said midwife will do iron screen when bloods are taken, no need for extra folic acid as BMI under 30 and no past medical history to say a higher dose is needed. So just need to take each day as it comes

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/04/2020 08:27

Morning all, rang GP receptionist just wanted to put me in with midwife for phone call at 8 weeks but I’ve asked to speak to Gp to discuss folic acid and previous low iron my last test for ferritin was 17 which they count as normal but doesn’t leave me with much in reserve. So will wait and see what they say

In two days I’ve poas 10 times 🙈 I’m finally resisting urge to pee on any thing else today but won’t be surprised if as the week goes on I do. No shame just do what’s best for you @mrsgtobe97

OP posts:
BabyB19 · 26/04/2020 17:51

I was about a week late by the time I had a dark dark line on an IC I think @mrsgtobe97 exactly @MrsCl19 youve peed on 14 sticks by the time a week comes around ahah x

mrsgtobe97 · 26/04/2020 17:32

@BabyB19 @MrsCl19 hahaha yes! I tried to explain that if there wasn't any hormone at all it would be white yet there is a line so there's something 😂😂. He won't believe it until it's prominent which I don't think happens often with IC!

MrsCl19 · 26/04/2020 17:26

@BabyB19 it's when people say wait 48 hours because we all know the line is better but we still don't and do 6 in that 48 hours 🤣

BabyB19 · 26/04/2020 17:16

Mine was the same, he was like just do another one next week. NEXT WEEKKKK! Ahahah. As if any of us are waiting a week to retest @mrsgtobe97 🤣 xx

mrsgtobe97 · 26/04/2020 17:01

@BabyB19 @MrsCl19 thanks guys :) showed DF and of course being male he thinks because it's faint it's negative, so that's gotten me down but will keep testing and will order some tests tonight, hopefully I can prove him wrong 🤣 ugh MEN!
