Hi Ladies, any of you out there around cd 8 looking for someone to chat with during the rollercoaster ride that is ttc? A lot of my friends already have kids and I’m feeling a bit left behind. xo

Awww thankyou @sammiantha2020 I'm so nervous! Hows your journey going? :)

Sammiantha2020 · 12/01/2020 18:32

@GreenSloth12 omg you’ve done so well waiting this long! I’m so excited for you... you’ll have to keep us posted tomorrow x

I'm five days late for my period, only been spotting weirdly, like mucusy, and had a lot of symptoms like I cannot stand coffee right now, it's normally my favourite! Bad bloating, back pain, increase in saliva, fatigue etc.. but not sure if I'm symptom spotting ! My emotions have been all over the place as well :( @sammiantha2020

Sammiantha2020 · 12/01/2020 18:21

@GreenSloth12 have you been experiencing symptoms? How many dpo are you? x

GreenSloth12 · 12/01/2020 18:19

@sammiantha2020 I'm taking my first test tomorrow! Very nervous thankyou for being so welcoming :)

Sammiantha2020 · 12/01/2020 18:15

Hey @GreenSloth12 welcome... we’re al here if you want to chat/vent! Have you taken tests? Fx for you!!

@Alice8688 I didn’t bleed that much after the surgery but my period 6 wks later was horrendous! I think both ways have drawbacks 😔. I find myself so desperate for a bfp, but I know deep down when I get it I’ll be a nervous wreck! I’ve just been using opks and tracking my bbt on the fertility friend app... I ovulated super early this month & wasn’t expecting that so it was 3 days prior to ov since we last dtd 😔...reckon I’ll be onto next month!

@Brodijen my cycle defo isn’t the same... I was 42 days, 33 then 26 this cycle ... it’s insane when I was always 30/31 for at least 2 years.

Baby dust to us all 🥰

@Wintergal TWW is the worst, if you can distract yourself with anything at all, do try. It’s so hard though. @Sammiantha2020 I really hope you have a BFP soon, is your cycle the same as it was pre-miscarriage. I’m worried mine isn’t, this is only my second month tracking with OPK so I have nothing really to compare it to.

Alice8688 · 12/01/2020 17:35

@Sammiantha2020 thank you my lovely. No. Nothing does 😔 I had medical management (I wish I'd had surgical now....) and I bled for 6 weeks. I had positives for 5 weeks. Was horrible because i kept my false hope going for a while. But I know it was unfounded as I felt "well" and I definitely didn't feel well when I was pregnant 😩 I'm apprehensive about trying again. And worried it won't happen. It would be my DH and my first. But my 3rd. I feel more nervous than I ever have before. I'm a great believer in "what will be will be" but like you say: it's hard when you want something so much.
Good luck to you hun. Have you been doing anything in particular to help conceive? Xx

GreenSloth12 · 12/01/2020 17:27

Hi sorry to jump in, im a 25 year old who doesn't really have any friends, especially to discuss trying for a baby and the stress behind it. Things are looking like I may of possibly conceived but trying not to get my hopes up just yet. Would love a friend to talk too :)

Sammiantha2020 · 12/01/2020 16:37

Hi @Alice8688 & welcome! I’m so sorry to hear of your losses in May & October - I don’t think we’re ever prepared for that 😔. It’s odd as I was still getting positive pg tests for like 3 weeks after the surgery so like you ... I don’t think I properly grieved until all the hormones had vanished! I found though that when it happened to me so many people I knew started telling me their stories, who then went on to have healthy babies...so I guess we just have to remain positive and know that one day we’ll get our rainbows 🌈. I’m not sure if you had surgical management, but my cycles have gone to pot afterwards - 42 days, 33 and now 26 this cycle ... I was always 30/31 prior to the mmc. I really wish I could be relaxed, but I just want a baby so bad x

Can I jump on pls? Ttc #3 after a mc in October and May 😔 October's was particularly horrible as was further along than May and I was suffering from HG so didn't really "mourn" until the sickness had all gone then it hit me horribly.
DH and I have decided to start trying again but hoping to be more relaxed. Just ordered some OPKs just to see where my cycle is (as has been haywire since Oct). Currently on CD9!

Good luck to you all. Lots of baby dust 💫 xxx

Sammiantha2020 · 12/01/2020 14:29

@Wintergal what cd are you on now? Apologies I forget... I get confused enough with my own lol.

@Brodijen it’s normal for you to get upset...I found Christmas particularly hard as I should have been like 22wks 😔. One day soon we’ll get our bundles of joy... I’m sure of it!

4 dpo today & the tww will feel harder/longer as I just don’t feel like I’ll be in with a chance at all this month as ov’d much earlier x

OP posts:
Wintergal · 12/01/2020 14:06

@Sammiantha2020 no still all negative very annoying

Brodijen · 12/01/2020 13:56

@Sammiantha2020 I totally see what you mean and trying to stay so positive. It can be exhausting though. But it’s nice to have a partner to talk to about it, it can still really upset me from time to time, especially when it seems like everyone around me is having babies. @Wintergal Baby dust right back at you!

Sammiantha2020 · 12/01/2020 12:44

@Wintergal thanks 😊. How’s your wkend going? Positive opk yet?

OP posts:
Wintergal · 12/01/2020 12:12

Aw ladies I am sorry to hear of your journey so far but please dnt worry you are not alone this time we all here for each other to support each other with all the good and bad! We have this! Baby dust our way! Xxxx

Sammiantha2020 · 12/01/2020 11:36

@Brodijen we told a cpl of close friends (as they had gone through it only a few days after us 😔), our parents & my work as I needed some time off for the surgery. We talk about it a fair bit together which is nice as I don’t want to just forget... we were both so excited. Hoping for some good news soon ☺️, but also will have the fear it happens again... sure you know what I mean? x

OP posts:
Brodijen · 11/01/2020 23:50

@sammiantha2020 Yeah we did. I felt like I had lied to people for so long during the first 12 weeks so it was easier to be honest. Plus I knew I’d need as much support as I could to get through it, and it did help. How about you? I’m so sorry for your loss x

Sammiantha2020 · 11/01/2020 22:01

@Brodijen hey I understand it’s all quite daunting I just mean I really didn’t know where I was until I started bbt this month as apparently you can have an LH surge with opks & not actually ov whereas with bbt it actually shows it’s happened. Did you tell many folk about your mmc? x

OP posts:
Brodijen · 11/01/2020 21:40

Thanks so much @Sammiantha2020, here’s to BFP’s in 2020!! I haven’t really read or researched basal thermometers before, OPK’s were a new thing to me this time around so just getting my head around them. How tricky or reliable are they?

Wintergal · 11/01/2020 20:44

Naw I not consistent with as an not u at the same time some days 530am som 7am

Sammiantha2020 · 11/01/2020 20:16

@Wintergal we’re all so desperate for this! are you taking your temp b4 you get outta bed & at the same time each day? I’ve no chance this month 😔 x

OP posts:
Wintergal · 11/01/2020 20:15

That's looks good mine is around 35.7 each day. Fingers crossed for Thai month
