Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

@debbs77 I tried this. A boy, two girls and a boy apparently. Did it twice and it was the same both times 😂

debbs77 · 03/01/2020 08:49

For anyone feeling down about it, try this ring gender test. It predicts the babies you will ever have. I've done this over 25 times now, I have a large family, and it is exactly right every single time xx

Maidmummy · 03/01/2020 08:41

2dpo today and woke up with mild cramps again still unsure why 🤷 and I've had a headache since yesterday that I can't seem to shift so who knows what's going on 🤔 How's everybody else getting on x

Ginge35 · 03/01/2020 07:37

Welcome @FarmerWantsABaby this site is super helpful as you will come to see that you're not the only emotionally unstable one TTC 🤪
I never realised how serious it all gets! I was naive like you and thought sec without protection and the pill and poof! I'd be pregnant! Oh how wrong I was! 😝
I came off the pill in September and have been on time (give or take a day) ever since, though some months lasts longer than others!
Fingers crossed for you this month too!

Wow a lot of errors in my post. Probably a result of staying up at 3am!

FarmerWantsABaby · 03/01/2020 03:14

Hi ladies, mind if a newbie joins?
I’m a common visitor to these forums but I never post. Myself and hubby have been TTC since October 2019 and I was very naive about becoming pregnant on our first try (doh!). I had been on the pill for 11 years and my cycle is very irregular so MrFarmer is having a grand old time of it DTD every other day 😂
I recently discover my mum had taken fertility tablets in order to have me and my middle brother so I’m beginning to wonder if that too could be my fate?
I’m a serial POTS and need to stop! Emotions are also magnified after watching some of my friends announce their pregnancies with statements like “it just took one go!” 🙈
I’m a teacher, he is a farmer/concreter/plasterer and we love very busy lives! We are both relaxing this month. I have stopped taking ovulation tests, stopped tracking dates and just going with the flow to see what happens!

DustyDiva · 02/01/2020 23:20

I am due to test Jan 13 th, I currently have very tingly boobs which hopefully means I did actually O as in the past ovulation has been very random for me, sometimes 14 months apart!!!

debbs77 · 02/01/2020 23:08

It was honestly heartbreaking, but it made us stronger together if that makes sense.

Definitely all on the same kind of schedule!

Ginge35 · 02/01/2020 23:07

Welcome @debbs77 so sorry about your MC! I can't imagine why it must be like! If I ever do get pregnant I just hope that it doesn't happen to me! I've had family go through it and it's vile to see, so I can only imagine the sadness you most likely still feel!
Here's hoping for a positive 2020 for us! It appears we are all similar with our ovulation days (give or take) so let's see if we can keep our thread going and have lots of BFP's in the next few weeks! 🤞🤞🤞

Thanks @Ginge35 🤗 it's a very tough time indeed, 7 years ago my journey was very different, I found huge comfort from online communities, and learnt a lot about being good to myself, being as healthy as I could, giving into my urges to google 'early pg symptoms' and not feel bad about it. Ttc is a tough journey and I have huge respect for every lady who is strong enough to put themselves through it. Baby dust to all 🥰

debbs77 · 02/01/2020 22:58

I'd love to jump on board too!

I already have children and was due to be sterilised in August after having my coil removed in march. 9 days before my OP I was still not getting my period and had a very shocking positive!!

Heartbreakingly we had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. That was the end of october.

After the initial shock of the pregnancy turned to excitement, which turn to heartbreak, we decided that we wanted to try for another baby.

It didn't happen last month but am hopeful for this month. I've always fallen first time every time with my other children so this waiting malarkey is new to me!

Due to our ages (I'm 42 and he is 40), we are limiting ourselves to only trying until May. Also, if we miscarry again then we won't try for another baby

I've ovulated last week, we had sex twice a day every day.

My partner and his ex wife took 5 years to conceive their daughter, so their could be an issue of his fertility but we will see. We obviously managed it last time, albeit accidentally!

Ginge35 · 02/01/2020 22:46

Welcome @dustydiva to us crazy lot! I never thought TTC would make me feel this way!
I spent Christmas with my nieces and nephew and literally lost it at one point as I just really want to have my own little family!
I didn't know it would be so tricky with TTC! Did everything I could for the last 18 years making sure it didn't happen and now I do it's like my has just said "nope!!!"
Fingers crossed for us this month ladies! 🤞🤞🤞

Hi can I join too, I’m 38 and ttc #2, I have PCOS and had numerous attempts at IVF for my son along with 2 mc. However 7 years on and I seem to be seeing a dramatic drop in my PCOS symptoms so am going all out to optimise my chances of becoming pg again. According to my app I am 3/4 dpo today but who knows, PCOS is a bleeeeep and you never know where you are..... looking forward to chatting with you all :)SmileSmile

Sammiantha2020 · 02/01/2020 22:22

Good luck to @Ginge35 & @Flowerpot26 this wkend...my fertile window isn’t until the end of next wkend 😔 I hate the waiting game! My friends/family also have kids and I’m one of the last, but not letting that stop me 🤣 means I’ll have some babysitters in a few years.

newmum2020 · 02/01/2020 22:20

@Ginge35 similar to me I was on pill from 16 and just came off this year at 39....fell pregnant first time we DTD without a condom in October and I had never wanted kids....only just came round to the idea when I miscarried. But it's made me sure I do want to be a mum now ☺️ I am not using OPK just going to trust the old fitbit as it was right last time!!

Ginge35 · 02/01/2020 22:17

@Sammiantha2020 thank you! Though all my friends and family already have children! I'm the last one that's childless! Some of my friends have teenagers for children so I do feel old indeed! I think my body is going struggle if I'm honest!
It's never been normal so I'm not counting my chickens! I'm just going to see what happens!
@flowerpot26 we match! 😝 let's see what happens over the next couple of weeks! Baby dust to you all!

Sammiantha2020 · 02/01/2020 22:09

@HighlandMam1 I got my basal body thermometer in the post today 🙌 I can’t wait to get started tomorrow! They do say stress can mess up your cycle so if OPKs cause that there’s no point! I was also 31 day cycles until my mmc, last month was a bit closer to my norm at 33 days. I just want it to happen already!

Flowerpot26 · 02/01/2020 22:08

Hey! Yes please, I'm the same dates as you op! Xmas day period, fertile days coming up, we're trying for our second, he's 20 months, im exhausted but also excited to enter this crazy adventure again! Good luck everyone xx

Sammiantha2020 · 02/01/2020 22:05

@Ginge35 I was on the pill since I was 18 until I was 30, but only really stopped as I felt my moods were so up & down!
I’m 32 and my OH is 37, we officially started ttc in June, and got my BFP in Aug, however it wasn’t meant to be as I had a mmc in Oct @ 11wks. This time last year I never thought I’d be that fussed about being a mum, however when it happens and you lose it you want it more than ever 😔.
I think you are far from too old!

HighlandMam1 · 02/01/2020 22:01

I'm terrible with the abbreviations @Sammiantha2020 Sorry! I haven't been monitoring my basal temperature. I had been using ovulation sticks but found myself obsessing over them which made me quite stressed. I keep a track of periods and symptoms on my health app (iPhone) My cycles are 31 days so it feels like the longest wait in the world waiting to see if Mother Nature is going to visit me!!

Ginge35 · 02/01/2020 22:01

Hi @wintergal thanks for joining! Good luck for this month!
I think we are all on the sam time
Line in this thread, so we can all keep track of what's going on! Sending baby dust your way!

I would love to join the crazy train with you ladies. This is our first proper month of trying.

Ginge35 · 02/01/2020 21:49

@Sammiantha2020 I'm on cd9 and I'm super regular! Cd14 is my OV day so will be trying over the weekend and Monday!
I'm 35 and been on the pill since I was 15 (my periods were horrific when I was a teenager) so I came off my pill in September but we didn't start TTC until last month. I gave myself time to start taking folic acid and get my body back to normal.
Never wanted children so it was a major shock to have "the conversation" with DH. I told him in May last year and it took him until December to get his head round it all!
Given our age (DH is 37) we are giving ourselves 6 months to conceive and then just going to leave it and just say it wasn't meant to be. We don't want to be creeping towards 40 before we have a child. If it's not meant to be, then we will just have to accept it! I'm not one to mess with Mother Nature

Sammiantha2020 · 02/01/2020 21:46

I’m now wishing I hadn’t waited so long 😢.
Do you use opks, bbt etc? @HighlandMam1

HighlandMam1 · 02/01/2020 21:43

Hi @Sammiantha2020

I feel old too but we're really not! 🙈 oh I'm so sorry to read that! Here's hoping for a successful 2020 for us all ladies!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
