Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

@FarmerWantsABaby you sound very busy how will you even fit Dtd in!
Sorry @Ginge35 I have no advice to offer in that one! This is all over my head at the minute! Think am just hoping and praying for the best!

Ginge35 · 05/01/2020 17:05

Ladies just a question if anyone can help. Cycle 2 and used OPK last month (BFN) and again this month.
I have a fertility tracker and I've just looked at a few others and their window is massive for conception!
If I ovulate tomorrow it's giving me another few days as apparently you don't ovulate the day of you LH surge???? But the fertility tracker states there's no point TTC after the day of ovulation as the egg is obviously useless by that point.
Wtf???? I'm sooooooo confused! 😩😩😩

You sound extremely busy @FarmerWantsABaby
I work full time and also bake cakes on the side! My DH works shifts but he's off at the moment and doesn't go back until 13th so it's landed nicely into my ovulation days! 😁
I should ovulate tomorrow but I didn't get a flashing smiley on my OPK yesterday, but did today so we will see!
I'm sure DH won't mind TTTC an extra day if necessary! 😂

@Wintergal what lucky OH we all have 😂 I think I’m going to start back at yoga this week and try to do more self care. I have a history of heart palpitations etc due to stress with work (teaching in a country that offers zero permanent work atm so no salary, holiday pay, maternity pay etc) and I’m also doing a Masters Degree, I do CrossFit 5 days a week (considering quitting and changing to a lower intensity regime as I lift very heavy), I farm in the evenings, I have a small craft business at home, I do private tuition for 5 students.... I’m burning the candle at both ends! Can’t be helping things!

Wintergal · 05/01/2020 15:36

@FarmerWantsABaby I am the same sine coming off the pill my cycles are all over the place and two apps are given me different times so not sure which to follow think we are just going to Dtd every two days or so and hope for the best!

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 14:44

@Sammiantha2020 I’m on day 20 but my cycle has been all over the place since coming off the pill. I have two apps I use, and my Apple Watch also suggests different ovulation days despite the app being linked to the same one on my phone? 😂 so I’m either due to ovulate this current week, or next week going my both apps. I’m really confused. Which is why I’m going to start the CB OPK.

Sammiantha2020 · 05/01/2020 14:20

@FarmerWantsABaby I defo gives me something else to do 🤣... ttc can be so long and boring!
Dtd feels like such a chore...I can’t wait to get bk to enjoying it again!
He gets it whether he wants it or not, but let’s face it men usually want it!!
What cd are you on?

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 14:02

@Sammiantha2020 I was considering thermometer next month. Yea we are every 2nd day, that’s what we’ve been told to do to cover all eventualities with ovulation 😂 Im fed up, he’s in his element. There is little enjoyment when it seems like a “job”. I would say DTD for a nice goodbye treat Monday morning and a nice welcome on Thursday afternoon and you’re covered lol

Sammiantha2020 · 05/01/2020 13:51

@FarmerWantsABaby Yea a few girls on another thread have told me not to trust opks, that you can get a high surge & actually not ov at all. Apparently the best way to tell is using a thermometer to measure your bbt - so that’s what I’m trying this month!
Do you tend to dtd every 2nd day? I don’t see my partner mon morn- Thurs aft as I work away so that can be difficult 😔 but try as much as we can.

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 12:26

@Sammiantha2020 I used the cheap ovation sticks before. I used them for a month or so but I was so fed up using them. I couldn’t track my ovulation properly as periods were all over the place, I think I had a very faint positive line one day but that was it. It started to make me stress out then and think was I even ovulating at all. Now that my periods have regulated a tinyyyy bit I have bought the CB ones to try.

DH is having a grand ole time of it DTD every second day. @Ginge35 you go do what needs to be done now girl 😂 x

Sammiantha2020 · 05/01/2020 12:18

@Ginge35 ah you use the cb ovulation monitors? Sorry! I was referring to the cheapie opks!
I hope DH was on board 😉 I’m sure he was!
My fertile window is next wk - can’t wait, but then... I hate the tww 😔

Wintergal · 05/01/2020 11:46

Hi everyone I'd love to join this thread 😊

TTC #3 cycle 2

Copper coil removed 20th November and my cycle lengths are all over the place so not really sure when I ovulate I'm just tracking my periods on an app and hoping for the best.

A little background story of me, we had a miscarriage at around 9 weeks in 2015, unplanned pregnancy and whilst on the pill, had so many complications with hormone contraception which swayed me to the copper iud, had that for 3 years with no issues at all, October I had a very late period and 2 positive pregnancy tests followed by a negative at the gp and an extremely heavy period on CD 45 😣 we weren't planning on having any more children we currently have a 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son. After October I kind of got my hopes up, which led to the conversation of baby #3, so I had the coil removed and we are trying to take a relaxed approach. However last month being our first month of ttc I was like a crazy lady 😬 symptoms spotting and pissing on sticks for the hell of it!

I'd like to say I'll be a bit more chill this month, but id be lying 😂

Good luck everyone, I love reading through everyone's posts! Keeps me sane 🤣

Ginge35 · 05/01/2020 08:36

Morning @wintergal & @Sammiantha2020
I've just done my OPK as soon as I got up and "poof" flashing smiley face! 😁😁😁
Just waiting for DH to get home now from walking to dog! 🤪🤪
How's everyone doing this weekend? Baby dust to all! ❤️

@Ginge35 thanks. Fingers crossed for you. Am only on cd7 tomorrow so prob too early for me!

Sammiantha2020 · 04/01/2020 23:26

@Ginge35 @wintergal I always thought you used OPKs different from pg tests? Between 10am-8pm? Also it’s important to test @ roughly the same time each day.

Ginge35 · 04/01/2020 23:07

Hi @wintergal yes in the morning. Your first wee of the day as it's not as diluted so the OPK can pick up the slightest spike in your hormones!
I hope mine flashes at me tomorrow! 🤞🤞

@Ginge35 I've just received my opk am I best to use morning?

Ginge35 · 04/01/2020 21:55

Hi ladies! So many posts since I've last been on! (Been a busy day today!)
I use OPK's as my hubby works shifts so DTD regularly isn't slightly tricky!
But disappointed today though as my Period calendar said I should be high fertility but my OPK just said a big fat no!
Just gonna get cracking tomorrow and Monday and use my OPK's just to gauge what my body is telling me!
It's all so scientific it's quite aggravating!! 🤪🤪🤪

That's what I thought, thanks! Smile

Geauxtigers · 04/01/2020 19:39

@becausereasons that is very true. I'll try it for a cycle and see what happens Smile

BecauseReasons · 04/01/2020 19:11

The cervical cup thing is really interesting- I'd never heard of it so had a Google. Apparently it hasn't been tested scientifically yet, apparently some medical professionals are for and some against I wouldn't want to do it personally, as I've read that slower sperm are usually lower quality and less likely to result in a viable pregnancy, so I'm happy to give all the chances to the stronger swimmers.

BecauseReasons · 04/01/2020 18:47

WRT vitamins, we used pregnacare conception, both male and female versions, the first time. This time I'm on the breastfeeding ones instead.
