Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

@Geauxtigers I don't think I have missed it 🤔 I had a low symbol on Saturday and then high fertility Sunday, yesterday and today but no peak? I was supposed to ovulate yesterday. I'll be really sad and quite worried if I haven't ovulated this month. Is that normal, not to ovulate? Slightly freaking out a little bit to be honest!
I'm going to do another OPK when I get home from work and see what it says.
I usually get bad cramps just before I ovulate but I haven't so far, which makes me think my body has just packed up this month! 😭😭😭😭

Awww @ginge35 maybe you've missed it and sounds like you've DTD enough to have yourself covered. I'm not using opks so can't help really, just cycle tracking and feeling my cervix! Haha but I guess there's no way to know if I've ovulated that way.

EffRam · 07/01/2020 12:46

Haha I have enjoyed the vision of all the gymnastics afterwards... I also had the 'should I pee or not' dilemma and also went for a ten mins legs up then a wee !

Apparently lots of sex all the time not just during fertile week is also good because then your body gets used to the sperm/ejaculate and doesn't try and fight it out or something. I read that a couple of years ago and it may have just been written by someone encouraging more sex who knows!

newmum2020 · 07/01/2020 11:58

@Ginge35 I can't offer any advice as I'm not testing I'm trusting fitbit 😬but I can understand your disappointment 😢hope you get your static smiley soon x

Goldie0109 · 07/01/2020 10:48

Hi All!

I'm TTC on cycle number 4 - was hopeful before Christmas but AF came on the 20th Dec.

Supposedly I should have ovulated on Saturday (I had two positive LH strip tests and then a negative) but my BBT did not spike it has gone up gradually and today exceeded base for the first time - where as last month (first month temping) it spiked the next day - anyone else had this?

Good luck everyone x

Maidmummy · 07/01/2020 10:23

Morning ladies how we all doing x

In regards to the orgasm it's best to do it before your OH "deposits" as it makes our environment more alkaline which sperm thrive in, too acidic and sperm die also the uterus is always contracting anyway to help the sperm (there's a good video on YouTube that shows you step by step what happens between depositing and the sperm reaching the egg).

Asf I'm somewhere between 4-6 dpo and I feel sick as a dog, headaches, nips are sore and I'm pretty sure after all this symptom spotting af will rear her ugly face but hey ho maybe I'll learn not to next cycle 😁

Ginge35 · 07/01/2020 07:17

Morning ladies. I'm a little Sad as I was supposed to ovulate yesterday and I
Didn't get my solid smiley face on my CB OPK, just tested again and still no solid smiley face? It's still flashing?
According to my calendar I should have ovulated yesterday (AF always regular) and last month it was bang on.
Anyone else had this? I'm feeling a little down now and also worried that I won't ovulate this month
Any reassurance greatly welcomed as hubby said no more DTD until I get a solid smiley! (I think I've worn him out!) he said he's got "nothing" left! 😬
Help me!!!

I think it could work before but depends how long before- the orgasm causes everything to contract which apparently gives anything in there a little boost. 🤷 Not that I conducted excess googling last time around or anything...

*Just keep having sex! Something will happen eventually!

That's pretty much been my conclusion too.

Ginge35 · 06/01/2020 22:57

@BecauseReasons I thought it was before?

I did hear that the woman orgasming after helps the little swimmers along a bit though, so make of that what you will.

Wintergal · 06/01/2020 22:37

@BecauseReasons I worded mine wrong I mean I googled it worrying that peeing would have a negative impact but it doesn't. So I waited 10/15 mins the bad my wee.

Wintergal · 06/01/2020 22:36

@newmum2020 the sound of the waves may encourage them along lol

BecauseReasons · 06/01/2020 22:31

I actually googled if it was ok to wee or not after for fear of a uti and it's said it's doesn't really make a difference

www.nhs.uk/conditions/urinary-tract-infections-utis/

Scroll down to where it talks about preventing UTIs. There's a fair body of research to say that peeing after sex helps avoid a UTI. Obviously, entirely up to you, but it's not a risk I'd take personally.

Good luck to the swimmers either way!

newmum2020 · 06/01/2020 22:21

😂😂😂@FarmerWantsABaby I think you did !! To be fair I probably better not try and find my cervix right now cos that could be messy 🤣@Wintergal I'm laughing at you giving them time to do their swimming because right now I'm lying in bed listening to Alexa playing the sound of waves....do you think it will help them along 😆

Wintergal · 06/01/2020 22:17

I actually googled if it was ok to wee or not after for fear of a uti and it's said it's doesn't really make a difference but I still give the little guys some time to do their swimming! Lol

FarmerWantsABaby · 06/01/2020 22:16

@newmum2020 I lay with said deposit inside one night. It was horrific 😂
@Geauxtigers I can’t find my cervix. Maybe I’m cervixless. Or my fingers are too small.

@newmum2020 I think I managed to lower the tone....

BecauseReasons · 06/01/2020 22:12

Another thing I read somewhere (was it maybe this thread?!) is to lie with the ahem "deposit" inside you overnight.....so I'm giving that a whirl tonight

Rather you than me. I was told to always go for a wee after or risk urinary tract infection.

newmum2020 · 06/01/2020 22:01

Haha 😂 I'm actually LOL here. Totally on the same wavelength 🤪I've just set my alarm for 5.30am and told hubby he's getting a morning treat before work on the (potential 🤞) big O day 😍😍. Another thing I read somewhere (was it maybe this thread?!) is to lie with the ahem "deposit" inside you overnight.....so I'm giving that a whirl tonight 🤣🤣

Ginge35 · 06/01/2020 21:47

You lot are as crazy as me! I've just read some of this thread to DH and he's setting himself laughing!
Other than DH and two of my closest friends no one knows we are TTC (we don't want the pressure from family) so this site is brilliant! I'm so glad I started this thread! Pure humour in light of all the stress of TTC!
You ladies rock! 😝

Wintergal · 06/01/2020 21:40

Just told DH he had to keep it in until he is soft and he now thinks am totally nuts! I am defo in the right convo lol

Geauxtigers · 06/01/2020 21:38

I had my index finger up feeling for my cervix this afternoon and trying to decide if it felt like my lips (fertile) or like the tip of my nose (already ovulate) apparently we are looking for a cervix on SHOW (soft, high, open and wet) 😂 literally sitting in the bathroom thinking to myself I'd gone absolutely mad.

Pretty sure I'm ovulating tomorrow and from what I could tell my cervix is backing that up! This is only my TTC cycle 1 so hoping I've got the timings of the cycle right!

FarmerWantsABaby · 06/01/2020 21:23

I’m not sure either. But I am sure of one thing.... I’ve joined the right convo lol

newmum2020 · 06/01/2020 21:16

@FarmerWantsABaby @Wintergal @Ginge35 I am not sure how much further we can lower this tone 😱🤣🤣

FarmerWantsABaby · 06/01/2020 21:13

@newmum2020 LOL HOW ATTRACTIVE 😂😂😂

newmum2020 · 06/01/2020 20:54

@Wintergal 😂😂this article said til they go soft....🤪xx
