Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

@DustyDiva just saw you had a positive- congratulations! Grin 🎉

BecauseReasons · 12/01/2020 11:22

@Ginge35 I'm fine thanks. I think something hormonal is going on because I've gone all spotty and crampy, so maybe I'll get an AF soon (first one in about a decade!). How are you?

Ginge35 · 12/01/2020 08:57

@dustydiva this is all sounding extremely positive! Let us know when you have retested! So exciting!
How is everyone else this weekend?

@EffRam thankyou xxx it would be a dream come true!! I'm getting spots on my neck and under my chin which is weird, haven't had that in years!!

EffRam · 11/01/2020 20:31

@dustydiva that's exciting... It's actually v rare to get a false positive so hopefully the test tomorrow confirms! Fingers crossed for you x

FarmerWantsABaby · 11/01/2020 18:58

@Ginge35 that's amazing for your mum (mom 😂 I'm irish). I hope it runs in the family! 🤞🏻 I'm assuming I'm maybe in my luteal phase and started the OPK too late 🤔 I'll continue to take one each day just incase my ovulation is late in my cycle.
I was doing a bit of research on the Flo app, there's a very interesting short clip on CM testing. I think I'm going to try follow it next month if nothing progresses this month. My CM at the minute doesn't reflect ovulation so again, as said earlier maybe I'm in my luteal phase 😞
I'm trying not to symptom check, there's so many women out there who don't know they're pregnant until they do a test so I keep telling myself that.
I'll continue to spend a fortune on CB OPK 😂 the cheapies never worked for me!

Ginge35 · 11/01/2020 18:49

I get it @FarmerWantsABaby it's so hard not to talk about TTC with your mom!
My mom has me and brother really easy and her pregnancies were a breeze too, so if I do end up pregnant then I'm hoping I take after her! 🤞
Not a whiff of a symptom yet but I'm way too early for all that! Lol!
You may have missed your peak fertility as if you don't test when it happens and test after your flashing smiley will come up anyway.
Or....... it flashes when you test and your pregnant but too early for a PT!
Here's hoping for the latter!!!! 😁

DustyDiva · 11/01/2020 18:47

I have had no symptoms apart from slight nausea since 7dpo so I think it was more than likely a false positive.... the TTC journey is a hard one, stick in there, it WILL happen xx

FarmerWantsABaby · 11/01/2020 18:28

I'm still getting a flashing smiley face on CB OPK, however AF is due in a week according to my health app so I don't know what's going on with me 😣 I feel a bit lost 😭
@DustyDiva that sounds extremely promising... as far as I'm aware a faded line doesn't come up for any other reason. Definitely try a different PT tomorrow morning or even wait a few days before retesting? Easier said than done though!
I finally went back to the gym today, my fitness has dropped massively 🙁
my mum also started questioning me again "what baby names do you like?" I feel sad that she really wants grandkids and I'm not able to give them to her yet. I really wanted to start a conversation with her about TTC but she had a lot of trouble to conceive me and my siblings (9 years and 6 MC before a stillbirth and then finally me and my brothers) , so I didn't want her to worry for me? If that makes sense?

ablisha · 11/01/2020 18:22

@Ginge35 we had a chat about still dtd because we were in the mood rather than just for a baby but with a 24 hour ovulation window, it is difficult if we really want to 'try' so to speak

Geauxtigers · 11/01/2020 17:38

I'm not one for symptom spotting, as I'm fairly chill about the whole thing but I've had such bad lower back pain for 2 days now (usually get it the few days before my period) and yesterday and today I just cannot get full. No matter what I eat my stomach feels empty and rumbly within an hour or two- that never usually happens in my cycle. Fairly sure I'm only 2 or 3 days PO at most so too early for symptoms but hoping it's not AF about to make an early appearance!

Wintergal · 11/01/2020 17:35

I think I may have taking things to the new level! My DH thinks I've lost the plot he runs a lot so am making him 'air' afterwards so the swimmers are not too warm Grin

Ginge35 · 11/01/2020 17:15

Ladies I know what you mean! With my DH he just about managed on Wednesday! Poor bloke! I had to give him quite a bit of encouragement ! Just about managed, which makes me think there wasn't much left in the tank, so I may have missed out this month, due lack of juice! So to speak 😝😝😝
Anyone testing this weekend?

@newmum2020 GrinGrinGrin

newmum2020 · 11/01/2020 11:56

@ablisha I'm going to record the dates in my diary of when it was turned down 🤣🤣

ablisha · 11/01/2020 11:10

Hahaha @newmum2020 I hear you about men, sex and TTC!

newmum2020 · 11/01/2020 10:17

Haha @Geauxtigers I didn't think it was possible for a man to turn down sex until TTC!! @DustyDiva that sounds promising 🤞🤞

DustyDiva · 11/01/2020 10:07

Morning! I'm 11dpo, just tested with FMU and very very very faint line?? It's with a clear blue non digital. I've done three of these previously and never had a line within the time ( I know they are notorious for evap lines ), but this faint line came up within 60 seconds. I have a FRER somewhere will test with that tomorrow ....

Geauxtigers · 11/01/2020 09:37

Really not sure when I ovulated this month but we DTD over a prolonged period to try and cover all eventualities. Pretty sure I've ovulated now so just playing the waiting game. Definitely think I'll do OPK next cycle if no BFP this time around as hubby was asking if we really had to have more sex 😂😂 think I wore him out! I don't have any tests yet so I think I'll wait and see if AF shows and if not I'll buy some.

newmum2020 · 10/01/2020 22:02

@Ginge35 i am genuinely loving this thread, so supportive and also the right amount of fun and laughter when we need it!! You and I are both 3DPO so we can talk each other down 😂I am telling myself I won't test until at least next Sunday.....😬we will see 😂

Ginge35 · 10/01/2020 21:46

Awwwww @newmum2020 I'm so sorry about your MC I can't even begin to imagine 😢
I think that's what good about this site. It's like a diary. You just write everything down but then others come along and make you feel better, especially when you think you're starting to lose you shit! 😝
No symptoms yet, real or imaginary. Saying that this time last month I was cramping and kept feeling sick! Haha! I suffer with anxiety and mild depression so I think my brain just went into overdrive and made things up!
Going to try and stay a little more level headed than last month! 🤔🤔🤔
However I bet the PT in my cupboard will be calling me by this time next week! 🤪🤪

@Ginge35 just read your last post, so sounds like me. I've never wanted kids, not felt maternal but loved friends kids then my niece came along. We got married 2 years ago and I still didn't want kids. Early last year I was taken off pill due to high BP and we used condoms as I didn't want to get pregnant. Hubby always wanted it more than me. Eventually I said ok let's see what happens but we will not become crazy, if it happens it happens blah blah. Then it did happen and I cried, not sure yet if they were initially happy tears but when it sunk in I was really excited, then MC happened just a day after my first midwife appointment. It hit me really hard and I felt bad for not having wanted kids before then this happens. Ironic that I now want kids more than ever and I so regret not having decided this earlier but I can only stay positive and hope for the best. Sorry this is long, felt good to write it all down

newmum2020 · 10/01/2020 21:23

I haven't told anyone that we are trying again but I can tell they are all going to be waiting on the announcement....@Ginge35 do you have any symptoms as yet? Real or imaginary 😆

Ginge35 · 10/01/2020 21:19

@FarmerWantsABaby I have been ripped in to and ridiculed so many times over the years for not wanting children, making me feel like I'm not normal. But to be honest I really really didn't want any!
It never dawned on me that one day my mind would change. My family would do my nut in if they knew me and DH were trying. I couldn't deal with the pressure of it all!
Plus if it doesn't happen then I haven't got to try and explain why it didn't happen, the question of "is there anything wrong with you" "you've given up too soon" blah blah blah!
If Mother Nature has decided it's not meant to be then me and DH will accept that and move on. We have a wonderful life so we can move on and enjoy our lives together.
If we end up pregnant it will just be the cherry on top!

My partner and I have known each other since we were children and dated as children. We had 10 years apart, during which time he got married. 4 years ago we got back together and my folks were dropping hints about having children before he was even divorced Hmm I found it really tough, as did he, because it was just so inappropriate. Most people do not have filters when it comes to starting a family - it's really no one else's business, but as tough as it is, most of our loved ones mean no harm by it.
