Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

oh my gosh @FarmerWantsABaby congratulations!! I'm sure this is an anxious time but I hope everything goes smoothly. I guess the tests showed you weren't ovulating because you wer e pregnant?! how far along are you?

Fingers crossed for you @Geauxtigers x

FarmerWantsABaby · 04/03/2020 18:27

@Geauxtigers thank you. I just recently found out I'm pregnant. My pure chance. Basically I was bleeding for 10 days, went to dr and found out that I was pregnant and may have had conceived twins but lost one. A scan last week confirmed a fetal sac and fetal pole. A scan next week SHOULD confirm heartbeat but I'm very nervous. We have been waiting so long for this and to get that bombshell 2 weeks ago was a lot to take in. Especially since I was told I wasn't ovulating. It has been madness.

Geauxtigers · 04/03/2020 03:20

@FarmerWantsABaby I remember u from the maybe January bus forum. I'm 32 and ttc for 1st baby. We've been trying 3 months, March is 4. I was 9 days late this month and I've never been anything other than 30-32 day cycles. Nothing is 'normal' and let's get this baby in the next few months!! Wil def happen (I believe)

00Bubbles00 · 10/02/2020 21:25

That’s good @FarmerWantsABaby. Hopefully the referral comes soon!

FarmerWantsABaby · 10/02/2020 19:45

@Effram yea waiting on a letter to see a fertility specialist, it's looking like I'm not ovulating 😬 I went to Liverpool over the weekend with friends and had a blast and a good ole chat so feeling positive enough about it all. No point stressing over something unless it's worth stressing over!

Effram · 10/02/2020 10:28

How is everyone doing? @FarmerWantsABaby did you get to talk to GP yet?

00Bubbles00 · 05/02/2020 23:27

@FarmerWantsABaby totally get that feeling. Am hugely kicking myself for the same reason. That all being said, it sounds like you have the GP on the case and if you work out the problem, that means you are closer to fixing it. So many of my friends have had some form of fertility treatment (chlomid being the most common, and a couple with IVF or IUI). All of them have had successful pregnancies (including two sets of twins :-)).

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/02/2020 22:31

Thanks ladies! Got a call from surgery today, GP wants to ring me tomorrow morning to "discuss my progesterone D21 test" so I think it's safe to say I'm not ovulating. Also have to go in next month for a retest of my FBC. Feeling shit that I didn't start TTC sooner now but who was to know 🤷🏼‍♀️
Anybody in this thread on any fertility treatment? So many thoughts running through my head now 😬

Effram · 04/02/2020 11:31

@00Bubbles00 Last month I was so obsessed with tracking BBT, it really seemed like it stayed high, with one drop that I hoped was implantation.... obviously it wasn't! I find it quite fascinating getting to know our bodies so I'm trying to keep it that way instead of obsessing for clues (I will fail!)

@FarmerWantsABaby I really hope you get some answers from the blood tests and will keep my fingers crossed regsardless xx

00Bubbles00 · 04/02/2020 08:52

Oh what a pain, I’m sorry. I have been tracking BBT and after a spike it has fallen back to pretty where it was pre-spike. Def doesn’t look like the textbook charts everyone shows on the internet. Hopefully the blood tests will show what is going on. My best friend discovered she wasn’t ovulating (despite OPK peaks) and after two cycles of chlomid now has beautiful twin girls. Similarly another friend became pregnant within two chlomid cycles. Science seems to be good at helping with anovulatory issues.

I am trying not to read too much into a falling BBT but it is a similar feeling to a negative pregnancy test...i.e. quiet resignation that this isn’t a good sign with a tinge of hope that my body actually defies science and is pregnant despite the signs suggesting otherwise!

FarmerWantsABaby · 04/02/2020 07:58

@00Bubbles00 home OPK keeps showing flashing smiley with no peak, the cheapie sticks show nothing at all. BBT is complete zig zags with a lot of highs and lows (ranging from 36-34 in two/three days). All took at the same time every day. Checking CM and CP every day, all signs are leading to no ovulation or hyperthyroidism 😬 waiting on my blood results this week as this was all checked. Preparing myself for the worst, as I had said before my mum took fertility medication to conceive myself and my brothers (not sure what it was but I'm assuming it was clomid) so this is something I have always considered that I may face some day.
Went out on Saturday night and was grilled by a few girls I know about babies, it was harmless but I could have punched them out of anger! One even poked my belly and said "are you sure there's not one in there yet?" "You're taking your time aren't you?" I cannot even fathom that at this day and age people still think it's ok to ask women about children!!

00Bubbles00 · 03/02/2020 23:33

@FarmerWantsABaby hang in there. Did you use OPKs and BBT? I don’t think either are definitive. I’ve read articles saying that OPKs don’t always show a peak (and conversely can show a peak without ovulation occurring). BBT seems to work well for people with very regular sleeping patterns. It feels to me from looking at the commentary that they are helpful for some people who have committed to the charting for a while and have learnt their own patterns but that that takes a while. In short - I’m not sure any of our ‘home’ tests can actually tell us anything, they are just helpful guides. Fingers crossed for you. This whole process is so frustrating and slow!

FarmerWantsABaby · 03/02/2020 20:56

I'm due to test soon but I'm not even going to bother. I don't think I ovulated this month. Cycle #8 here we come 🙄

newmum2020 · 03/02/2020 19:31

Thanks so much @00Bubbles00 🥰
Will keep an eye out for some BFP news in the next few days!! Good luck to all the ladies testing soon 🤞🤞xx

00Bubbles00 · 03/02/2020 13:37

Oh FANTASTIC!! I am SO happy and relieved for you. Brilliant news! The emotional toll of the whole process is so difficult isn’t it. Fingers firmly crossed that the rest of your pregnancy is smooth xxx

newmum2020 · 03/02/2020 13:08

Thanks for asking @00Bubbles00 ☺️

Well the bleeding stopped after Sunday, just some mild spotting Monday and a bit of pink cm after that. I took a digital clear blue test yesterday and it said 3+ so I think that's as positive as can be. I called EPU and they don't seem concerned since bleeding stopped and test positive after a week. So I've got my first normal midwife appointment on 21st Feb. I'm still a nervous wreck but have to try and be positive!! My boobs are gradually getting sorer by the day so I also think that's good? They feel on fire today!! I had a really bad cramp last night for about 15 mins then it eased, was quite worrying but I have to assume ok! Ahhhhh this is a rollercoaster of emotions!!!

How's the TWW so far?? Every step of baby making is so hard!!!

00Bubbles00 · 03/02/2020 12:53

@newmum2020 how are you doing? Hope all ok x

00Bubbles00 · 03/02/2020 11:35

@Effram - good luck for the FW ;-) I think my husband was relieved when mine was over Wink

Effram · 03/02/2020 11:28

@00bubbles00 Well that is good news, I do find Clue very accurate myself!

Feeling for you. I'll be joining you in the long wait by Friday...

00Bubbles00 · 03/02/2020 11:21

It did turn solid - on the day the Clue app predicted so all my huffing and puffing at the bloody blinking face didn’t do anything to speed it up Grin. Now day 4 DPO. Sigh. It’s all SUCH a long process. I HATE the waiting bit.

Effram · 03/02/2020 10:22

@00Bubbles00 hahaha the winking opk… Hope you got the solid smiley now!

day 2 of fertile window here. Everything is go....

newmum2020 · 31/01/2020 10:24

@HighlandMam1 we haven't no, I'm too scared to for two reasons....1) after miscarriage I'm super anxious full stop 2) last time I had horrific cramps after sex! So I am a bit cautious about it, much to my husband's dismay lol 😂

HighlandMam1 · 31/01/2020 08:46

Hi @newmum2020 this may sound a bit too intrusive but have you been dtd? When I was pregnant with my son every time we dtd I'd end up with slight bleeding. After my gp admitted me to hospital for observation on one occasion my midwife asked "by any chance have you been enjoying some hanky panky?" 😂😂 she then reassured me it's quite common for slight bleeding to occur after sex during pregnancy!

newmum2020 · 31/01/2020 07:21

@BecauseReasons I imagine that's a natural way to feel. Don't be hard on yourself. My brother just had a new baby and his other daughter turned 2 just 2 weeks later, she is taking time to adjust but that's to be expected and she's coming round to the idea of being a big sister! I think it'll be tough for a while but I am sure they'll be very close when they are a bit older, making it all worthwhile ☺️

BecauseReasons · 30/01/2020 21:39

That's exactly how I am feeling, scared to be too optimistic

My sympathies- that's basically how I live my life and it's really no fun. I understand the need to protect yourself emotionally though, and in many ways that's wise in early pregnancy regardless of bleeding.

how are you? News sinking in?

I'm not sure tbh. I truly wasn't expecting it to happen so soon and now it has I'm a little bit... not regretful exactly, but definitely kicking myself for being so relaxed about it. I'm mainly worried about the age gap between Newbie and DD being too small- there will only be 28 months between them, and DD is currently such a little gem and we have such a good relationship that I'd hate to ruin it by adding another baby before she's old enough to properly accept it. But I'm too far down the rabbit-hole to turn back now. Just got to hope she takes it well, I suppose.
