Evap line?

So I took a pregnancy test this morning but I didn't think it really worked properly cause of how faint the control line was, I just looked now and got this. I read evap lines are colourless streaks but I can't tell what this is? I'm sure it's an evap so not getting excited

@Nattiekattie I'm so sorry to hear that but I'm happy you've got closure, it's better than not knowing. AF has just arrived and like you I'm glad I have closure now so I can stop obsessing about it, for a few weeks anyway ha

Well it's also a definite BFN for me also.

The results were 0.05 HGC so there was never a pregnancy. In a way a feel relieved because there was nothing I did that didn’t make it take. It just didn’t work. But I'm just devastated. It's just weird how I got that false positive 😢😢. But I'm glad I've got closure. Xx

Well it's a BFN for me 😞 still doesn't explain the spotting I've been having that I've never had before so I will test Saturday just in case

The doctor just called and agreed that I can have a blood test. So I'll go now and have one. Hopefully the result will come back this evening or tomorrow xx

@Nattiekattie thank you. No I don't normally spot, what I have I've never had before so I'm really hoping for a positive and it not turn out to be a chemical. I've just bought some more, I'll prob do one this evening and one tomorrow cause I'm too impatient lol

So the early response one is a lot more sensitive then. The FRER can detect hcg levels as low as 6.5u/ml so even more sensitive. Let me know if anything changes. I will keep my fingers crossed for you

@kittycat10 it's pure torcher isn't it. I really hope you get a positive result. Maybe try and wait to do them tomorrow though I'll keep everything crossed for you. Do you usually spot? I've had no spotting but I've been on a lot of medication so I wouldn't except to other than straight after the implantation which just happened that once.

O right lol, the pure & simple are pink but tbh the early response one that I did today picks up 10u/ml of the hormone and the clear blue is 25u/ml so as much as it kills me to accept the negative result I think I have to 😭💔 xxx

@Nattiekattie that's okay Smile clear blue is blue dye. It's just the colour of the lines on the test, either pink or blue. It's horrible not knowing isn't it, it's the worst part. I just had a bit more spotting but brown this time so I'm hoping it's still implantation bleeding. Let me how you get on if you have bloods done. I'm going on my lunch break to get more tests lol

I used a clear blue, how do you know if it's a pink or blue dye one? I bought Accu News test strip & stick as well as clear & simple early response. I did all 3 about 9.30 so it was 5hrs after I tested at 4.30. I've called my gp to request a blood test, the receptionist said they will call back today. I just would rather now either way.

@Nattiekattie I'm so sorry to hear that Sad what test did you use where you thought might be positive? Sad I heard blue dye tests can give false positives and evap lines, from now on I'm just going to use early response as that's what everyone recommends. I've been told that the spotting can be implant bleeding and if that is the case it can take at least 2 days from then to get a positive, even longer for some people. I really want to give you hope but I don't want to get your hopes up. I would def try again Saturday though.

Thanks @Mooey89 well I've just done 3 different brands all negative and the clinic also just called and said they will only accept it as negative.😭😭😭

I have no idea what all the abbreviations mean lol as I am new to all of this.

I feel totally wounded as I've never in my life seen anything happen in the pregnant window box before.

I think I'll have a slightly different case to you @kittycat10 as I knew I had a fertilised embryo. I have my first IVF transfer on the 19th Dec (two weeks ago today) and the embryo was a day 2. I had one spotting 2 days after and nothing since. I was told to take my test today but I've been testing since the 29th as I just couldn't wait. I will speak to the clinic today and see what they advise. But heartbroken doesn't even describe how I feel right now.

@kittycat10 with chemicals you don't usually get strong lines even when af is due. I had four chemicals before I had my daughter so the lines would be like yours and you could get 'pregnant 1-2' on a digital but then af arrives a few days late. But 11dpo is still early so you're not out

Well I got a BFN this morning but I'm not giving up hope cause I've heard people haven't gotten their BFP until a few days after implantation bleeding. There's still no sign of AF and I'm so sure the bleeding was implantation....🤷🏻‍♀️

@Nattiekattie how many DPO are you? You're not out until AF shows up Smile the link you sent was quite interesting and definitely makes me feel more positive

@feelinglost02 I'm 11 DPO, what makes you think it could be chemical? I thought I would of got a certain BFP first and then saw a negative but haven't even got a definite BFP yet

So I’ve just found this Post that shuts down the EL myth. I’m going to take my test results as positive. Wish I could upload my photo but I’ve not been a member for 48hrs grr.

Yes the frer is positive too but it could be a chemical which is always the worry with these sensitive tests. How many dpo?
