Hey, I've started a more broad thread this month rather than a bus so we can keep it going rather than starting new ones every month.

Here are my stats
TTC no 2 (2 years to have no 1 but we weren't actively trying and I knew nothing about my cycle and DTD not so often)
Cycle 12
AF/BFP 12th Jan
Age 30

Feel free to tag some more @tamalala @Sunflower2019 @ceebee21

@BFP2020, it feels good to talk to someone about this! Thanks Ladies X fingers crossed for all of you x

Tamalama · 02/01/2020 13:11

@BFP2020 I thought that too but apparently it has to be a year because the person I want to have a child with I already have a child with, which supposedly means that neither me or DH have any fertility issues... that does make sense, just sucks we have to wait so long to have any kinds of tests and even those will be basic ones. No possibility of IVF to be offered, which I do understand, so really it's just a case of just keep trying...

Hola84 · 02/01/2020 13:09

@BFP2020 no, only just started this week, I have naively thought I wont have any issues as I didn't have any with my son and just been hoping and waiting each months. I guess it was 4 years ago and things do change!! Last month I was couple of days late (and it's usually super regular) - I was disappointed X 1000! As one of the ladies mentioned, DH is getting a bit frustrated with almost scheduled DTD and someone close suggested that perhaps I am not ovulating when I think I am (or what's more accurate when the app suggests I am) so I went for the opks. Just done it now, and there is a very faint second line, according to the instructions it means the result is negative

BFP2020 · 02/01/2020 12:47

@Tamalama I know what you mean about not being yourself during the TWW I'm always on edge and just really hoping it's going to be my month. I thought because of you age the start testing after 6 months? x

OP posts:
Tamalama · 02/01/2020 12:11

@BFP2020 yeah I know what you mean, and I just find the tww all consuming, and I find myself just so distracted and not myself 😕
They won't do any tests until the spring because we started ttc in May 2019, and the gp said to start tests March/April time this year. She said there isn't much they can do though because I have my DD with my DH and I also fell pregnant December 2018, so I am able to get pregnant with my DH.
When I had my mc last Feb I had 3 internal scans and was told my ovaries look fine, no issues with them and everything else looks fine. I'm 39, so maybe my eggs just aren't as good any more 😕☹️
Keeping everything crossed for you for this month x

BFP2020 · 02/01/2020 11:59

@Hola84 Have you done OPK's Before?

@Tamalama the every 2nd day is probably the easiest to do to be honest. If I don't get a BFP this month I'm actually just going to go with the flow until my app and just DTD whenever we feel like it. Because it has been so long it really has taken the fun out of DTD. Sad Have you had tests done you may have told me this already?

@BFP2020

Hola84 · 02/01/2020 11:46

I know it's probably unlikely, but after the few months of trying I am doubting everything I knew about my body and the cycle lol 😂 it's very regular though, 27 days on average

Tamalama · 02/01/2020 11:40

@BFP2020 I get pressure and the ovary pains. When I've got my positive opks it was around the times I got the pains so I know I definitely have ovulated. I used the expensive and cheapies too, and like you, if I got a positive on clearblue I'd also get one on the cheapies, so I worked out the cheapies are just as good. At least there wasn't the stress of blank circles, flashing smileys and statics! Having said that, I'm not using any opks at all now, moving forward. In theory I plan to dtd every day each month but it never works out that way. I don't tell DH when I'm ov as I don't want to stress him out, although he probably guesses because we dtd more often! 😂 we dtd before af arrived, and he said hopefully that will get you pregnant (he meant it in a nice way), and I was like um no, that ship has sailed this month, I'm in my tww! 🤦‍♀️
I'm currently 8dpo today, and according to all 4 apps, my fertile window starts today and I'm due to ov next Tuesday, which will put me at 13dpo, which is usually spot on each month... I've got a few twinges in the ov area today (I seem to get it in the right side most months) but I get that a few days before I ov, then it disappears and then comes back whilst I ov. X

BFP2020 · 02/01/2020 11:13

@Tamalama Do you have all the pressure like me or just a little stabbing? The OPK's really are a waste of money I did the cheapies for awhile and they worked the same as the digital you just had to test a few more times during the day. Last month we did CD 8,10,12,14,16,19 and no BFP. This month I was going to do the odd numbers but it didn't work out like that so we just did CD 11,13,14,16,17. The first 2 days is always fine but the other days are like doing the dishes and I find we are both finding it stressful. Is your OH getting frustrated with the DTD at certain times? I'm pretty sure I ovulated Mon so I am currently in my TWW not holding my breath though just waiting now for my pains to start. Had cramps backache tender boobs from Ovulation last month.

Tamalama · 02/01/2020 10:56

@BFP2020 we just plan to DTD every other day, definitely the day before ov and on the day itself. Like you, I can feel when I ov so I'm going to go by that. No opks for me, when I spoke to my gp recently she said to ditch them as it can just cause additional stress. I just think of all the money I wasted with the clearblue digital ones 🤦‍♀️
How are you getting on? What's your plan? X

BFP2020 · 02/01/2020 10:37

@Kataa Can I ask you what prompted the Laparoscopy? Did you have bad pains? My doctor now suspects I may have Endo and has reffered me?

@Hola84 How long are your cycles? CD 10 seems quite early to get a positive OPK?

I've had the blood tests done and I am def Ovulating I can feel it anyway. I also had an ultrasound and internal ultrasound back in Sept to check for cysts and they found a few small Polyps on my Right ovary but the doctor said they were so small they weren't worried about it. She never even mentioned ENDO. I then decided to go to a different doctor and advised of my symptoms and she said in her opinion she would be surprised if i didn't have ENDO so she referred me. I am supposed to get an app in Feb publicly but I think If get AF on the 12th which i suspect I will think I will just go privately and get the ball rolling.

BFP2020 · 02/01/2020 10:30

@itsbeenalongtime That's brilliant that yours cycles are like clockwork fingers crossed that makes it easier.

@ChampooPapi Are you hoping for a boy this time? How many kids are you planning?

@Tamalama Have you a DTD plan this month? Are you after ditching the OPK's?

@Toomanydogs Any update with you? Hoping AF stayed away?

@Mrssendy I'm the same as you so surprised we haven't caught the egg yet either I feel we have done everything right we are DTD loads and I know exactly when I'm ovulating. I ditched the OPK's as found they were adding to the always thinking about TTC.

@Chanel05 I was 23 when we decided to ditch the BC and hopefully get pregnant. I never did OPK's and my cycle was a bit random 28-34 days but never really had bad PMS or heavy periods. We weren't the most active couple and I didn't time the DTD it took us 2 years to get pregnant. I then decided to get the implant in (wish I didn't now) and this time last year decided we would take it out and start trying. Because we didn't really try first time round I thought I would get pregnant very fast this time. But instead this time around I had very painful Ovulation 3 days of pressure and stitch like pain and some months 2 weeks of cramps, backache and sore boobs so now the doctor suspects I may have Endo and has referred me. It's so weird how things happen.

Forgot to add I'm 35, day 10 of my cycle Smile

Hola84 · 01/01/2020 23:06

Hi, I'd love to join if that's ok. Been trying for #2 since June 2018, no #1 happened after the first try, hence I guess finding it now quite frustrating and disappointing. Tried the ovulation tests today, around 5pm there was a line, 3 hours later it was gone Confused. So happy to share this, it can be a very lonely journey

Kataa · 01/01/2020 21:42

Hi, I’d like to join please if that’s ok!
We’ve been actively ttc #1 for 12 months, with over a year of not preventing before that. Have had all the tests and a laparoscopy recently which found and removed some endometriosis, also got diagnosed with underactive thyroid.
We have 6 months now to try to get pregnant naturally until follow up at fertility clinic to consider next steps (I assume that’ll be ivf)
I’m 32 and currently cd 7

Mooey89 · 01/01/2020 16:01

Hi! Hope it’s ok to jump on.
TTC #2 - fell straight away with DS but 7 years ago with a different dad
Cycle 13(ish)
Ov today
Age 30!

Winterbobble · 01/01/2020 15:04

*rolling Smile

Winterbobble · 01/01/2020 15:03

Hi ladies - please can I join?
Age - early thirties for me and DH
TTC cycle 8 (plus 4 unofficial trying)
Phoning the Drs this week to get the ball roling!
Tried OPK, conception support gel and even SMEP, no luck so far!

Toomanydogs · 01/01/2020 14:56

If no luck this cycle we'll be going to GP for tests. Very light spotting today which is most likely AF starting, so once we're home looks like I'll be giving drs a call!

Chanel05 · 01/01/2020 12:10

Dh has the SA, I had blood tests to check AMH, vitamin D and TSH and a vaginal ultrasound where it was confirmed I ovulated (knew that already as I chart) and had a healthy egg reserve. The gynae said I have a "beautiful uterus" 😂. Guess it goes to show that it's what's on the inside that counts! 😂

BFP2020 · 01/01/2020 10:56

@Chanel05 what tests did they do?

OP posts:
Chanel05 · 01/01/2020 10:40

@BFP2020 DH and I have had tests at a private fertility clinic and we are both 'normal'.

BFP2020 · 01/01/2020 10:39

Has anyone had any tests done yet or plan to have them done? X

I found a diary yesterday and in it on 31st December 2018 I'd written that I hope that in 2019 I will have my baby. I was much more positive then and I sit here on the 1st January not sure I'll even have a baby this year.
