Our other thread is getting quite long and I know they stop at 1,000 comments so thought I’d make a new one for us .
I am so sorry if I’ve missed anyone , just going by usernames I remember off the top of my head !
I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant (miscalculated and thought I was only 4+3). Going for an 8 week scan (I’ll be almost 9 weeks) on 25th Jan.
but I am really enjoying joining you on your journeys on TTC and you’ve all been amazing so I didn’t want to just say goodbye to the thread .
Please come on in if you’re new here , and join everyone on their journeys . I feel like we’ve been chatting forever but it’s only been a couple of months. What a roller coaster it’s been!

Anyway, as we were!

@LeaBri I know, it will be our sixth cycle too. I’m 10dpo and CD24, had some brown CM this morning so worried it’s the start of AF. I haven’t had any cramps though so who knows. Am tempted to test but know there’s really no point until AF is properly late which will be around another four days, but I hate not knowing and how you get it your hopes up then the next minute get really dejected. Just had brunch with a friend who is seven months pregnant and wish I was on that journey too...

LeaBri · 01/02/2020 11:40

Hi ladies! I’m still here just been keeping my head down really trying not to think about TCC! Last time I posted it was AF playing tricks on me and she arrived the next day Sad. I have a bit of weight to lose, my BMI as around 35 so I have joined Slimming World and a gym, just focusing on that really for now and seeing what happens!

@Liam2018 on your first pic I could see a faint line but nothing in the second pic above, sorry! Maybe wait a few days and test again?

Fingers crossed for all out BFP’s soon, this month will be our 5th month of trying, does make you start to worry a bit!

Liam2018 · 31/01/2020 22:49

Thank you , another pic! Is it possible to get false positives?

@Liam2018 I can see a faint line in the first test. Test tomorrow again. But I can see it a little. Fingers crossed !

JEMMA18 · 31/01/2020 22:33

Thank you ladies, I've been testing every day since. I'm going crazy. But it's still there bold and clear. When will this excessive testing end.

As for baby names, I'm not sure at all. I am going to have a look tonight so I will get back to you on that, I have a few in mind but oh is not pleased with them typical.

Liam2018 · 31/01/2020 22:30

Dont worry they are hard to see but the first one is deffo there, oh deffo saw it. I'll test in the morn and see how that goes

MGee123 · 31/01/2020 21:28

I'm really sorry @Liam2018 I can't see lines on any of the pics you've posted 🤷‍♀️

@notalwaysalondoner names are a minefield!

Liam2018 · 31/01/2020 19:08

Is it possible to get a false positive on a frer? Thought I got my bfp looked pink and even oh saw it hard to pick up on camera so tweaked a little. Opened another packet of frer cause used my last one and used same urine and looked negative maybe a little line but not sure:S

Thanks @CurbsideProphet having a great time. Been thinking about conception quite a lot still but I think that’s cow my husband keeps talking about me getting pregnant which is lovely to hear as he’s very excited about it too. We’ve been DTD absolutely loads 😂 but my cycle is so irregular I have no idea where I am in my cycle and I don’t get any obvious CM changes. So we are just enjoying our holiday and enjoying each other. I’m home on Valentine’s Day so if my period hasn’t come by then I’ll most likely do a test.

Lovely to read everyone’s bfps and to the rest of us - we can do this. Our bodies were designed specifically for this and we will get there in the end 😍

hopefulhel · 30/01/2020 21:48

Congrats to everyone who got bfp. Hope everything goes well for you all.

Liam2018 · 30/01/2020 19:51

Negatives right?

@hopefulhel I found it helped a bit when I spoke to my DH about my worries. It felt better than us both secretly worrying to ourselves. I'm 2 years behind you, though DH is a few years older. We only met at the end of 2014 so haven't had the chance to ttc sooner. We both wish we had met sooner, but we can't do anything about it unfortunately Sad

I agree about trying to live life and not spending all our time and energy on waiting for that BFP. Obviously easier said than done, but we've made plans for being off in March and May now and I like having things to look forward to.

CurbsideProphet · 30/01/2020 12:07

Congratulations @JEMMA18 Flowers Lovely to see you back with good news Flowers
Hi @Maddy0405 hope you're having a good time!

JEMMA18 · 30/01/2020 11:47

@notalwaysalondoner thank you! I got sore boobs and a very horrible taste in my mouth that wouldn't shift other than that nothing really. I felt like I had more symptoms when I was convinced I was pregnant all the other months when I wasnt. So dont be thinking your out when you havent got any at all or very few. Got my fingers crossed for you. I was testing early and getting bfn. Waited a few more days and got a faint possitive. It's got darker since x

notalwaysalondoner · 30/01/2020 11:32

Congratulations @JEMMA18 that’s so exciting!! Did you have any symptoms? I’m on my TWW and have no symptoms so not feeling very positive but then used clearblue OPKs for the first time this month so feel pretty confident we DTD at the right time.

Am increasingly tempted to test early but know I should hold off for my own peace of mind.

@butterflyflower1234 if it’s your first month of TTC I think ovulation tests can stress you out. I’d suggest you leave them a couple of months as you might not need them anyway especially if you get clear CM changes (I don’t). I personally prefer the clearblue ones to the cheap strips as you can use them first thing in the morning and you don’t have to squint and try and figure out if the line is darker than the test line, it’s just a quick yes/no display. But they are more pricey. Enjoy your wedding!

Butterflyflower1234 · 30/01/2020 11:13

Congratulations everyone with their BFP - so exciting!!

@itsemily we're marrying abroad on 29th Feb so hopefully the weather will be perfect! Hope you have a lovely anniversary.

Another question, what does OPKs mean please? Are these ovulation tests people are using? My period is very regularly (every 28 days) and I think I know when I'm ovulating as I have thicker discharge (sorry if TMI) on a specific date but do you recommend I also use these tests?

JEMMA18 · 30/01/2020 10:50

Hi ladies, sorry for the being away for a while. I was on the dreaded tww again.
Thought nothing of it but got my BFP a few days ago!🎀 Still going strong now after 10 tests later.. I'm obsessed, I can't really believe it yet!
Sending you all baby dust! It's the month of love soon, I'm sure there will be plenty of dtd going on! Cant wait to see some more BFP on here.❣

Maddy0405 · 29/01/2020 21:40

I’m still here too!! We are on a road trip holiday and will be back on Valentine’s Day but I just wanted to drop in and see how everyone was doing x

hopefulhel · 29/01/2020 20:48

Have a date night planned. Think this is the first month where I've actually expressed concerns of ttc, he just seems to go with it when I mention dtd which is great. I'm 36 turning 37 during the summer and starting to worry I left it too late. We've holidays booked abroad for July for a few days, was holding off booking in case I was pregnant but can't live my life waiting for a bfp

CurbsideProphet · 29/01/2020 20:39

I've been thinking of you @hopefulhel Flowers I'm glad to see you, but also sorry to see you because it means you're still ttc too if that makes sense. Are you and your DH spending Saturday together?

@Liam2018 I bought OPKs but decided not to use them as I think it just looks too stressful. Why not have a month off OPKs and just dtd regularly, ie every couple of days from the end of your period? That way there's no risk of missing ovulation.

hopefulhel · 29/01/2020 20:24

Thanks @itsemily I'm not too bad. I did think when I had the ectopic in June that I would be pregnant by now but things don't always work out as planned. If nothing has happened by next month I'll go to the doctor and ask to be referred to a gynaecologist. That'll be six months actively ttc

MGee123 · 29/01/2020 20:24

I really feel for you @CurbsideProphet @notalwaysalondoner - I totally get where you're coming from. I only just feel ready to start contemplating a baby but DH has been desperate for a while. I'm only 30 but equally am having the feeling of 'what if'. I've ditched the OPKs and have booked some stuff in that I had previously decided not to do, in case I was pregnant. I'm going to genuinely try and do the whole 'carry on as if you're not trying' and see how we go for a few months. I'm actually feeling much better not doing the OPKs. We will see!

It's a tough ride all of this. My best friend is 20 weeks now and has had her second scan. I'm so happy for her, but at times it really hurts. Considering last year I wasn't sure I was ready, my brain has definitely done a 360 pretty rapidly!!

GaaaaarlicBread · 29/01/2020 19:47

My advise @liam is stop doing OPK’s , enjoy DTD when you feel like it (every 2-3 days), ditch the tracking and just go with the flow . You’ll end up stressing yourself out .
@hopefulhel thinking of you and I hope you’re ok. Well done for ditching the OPKs , sounds like you’ve given it a good shot

So guys any advice please

Last thursday I got a v positive opk (first picture) but we only dtd 4 days before so gave up. Anyway I'm 5dpo today and I noticed I had very stretchy ewcm (sorry tmi) so I took an opk... granted it's not as dark but positive right? (Second picture) any advice please :(
