Our other thread is getting quite long and I know they stop at 1,000 comments so thought I’d make a new one for us .
I am so sorry if I’ve missed anyone , just going by usernames I remember off the top of my head !
I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant (miscalculated and thought I was only 4+3). Going for an 8 week scan (I’ll be almost 9 weeks) on 25th Jan.
but I am really enjoying joining you on your journeys on TTC and you’ve all been amazing so I didn’t want to just say goodbye to the thread .
Please come on in if you’re new here , and join everyone on their journeys . I feel like we’ve been chatting forever but it’s only been a couple of months. What a roller coaster it’s been!

Anyway, as we were!

Oh no how annoying that your holiday was cut short. At least like you say, you won’t be stuck there for months. Probably be a bit nicer for you over in the West Country than over this way (I live on the essex/London border).

I would continue DTD. It is a worrying time for everyone including pregnant women but there are safeguards in place to keep us safe. And they don’t seem to think it causes any extra problems for those who are pregnant. These are such uncertain times.

I’ve had some period cramps on and off for the last day or so so I think AF is on her way.

notalwaysalondoner · 19/03/2020 21:16

What crazy times - we had to fly back from Canada a week early as they closed their borders. Was tempted to continue there as we had our laptops and could stay with friends and my DH is a Canadian citizen, and we would have had more fun hiking and skiing and stuff after work. But in hindsight was definitely the right decision as we may have been stuck there for months rather than weeks and our friends may have got fed up with us and working with an eight hour time difference would have been challenging.

We live in London and the supermarkets are nuts - the huge superstore near us was closed with queues outside at 845 this morning (normally opens at 6am) as they can’t manage the supplies and panic buying. We’ve decided to come home to my parents in the West Country to have more company and be out of the London panic. Were worried about lockdown so we left today.

We’re still DTD every 2-3 days but also don’t know if we should continue. But considering it’s been 7 cycles so far for us I want to continue. Feel so sorry for my friends who are due in the next month whose parents won’t be able to visit etc as they live abroad or if lockdown happens.

Maddy0405 · 18/03/2020 20:31

I’m self isolating. Had a cough and temp (Plus all the usual cold symptoms) for last few days!

This is a really strange and worrying time for everyone. I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

I’m cycle day 36. God only knows when AF will arrive!! I’ve certainly got no symptoms of pregnancy. Have felt a bit sick but would put that down to whatever germs my body is sorting out.

Thinking of you all xxx

CurbsideProphet · 18/03/2020 19:59

I work from home most of the time anyway, so it's business as usual for me in that respect. I give advice and info over the phone for a charity. Lots of worried people wanting me to fix everything Sad

I feel sick and like I have cattarh stuck in my throat 🤔 cycle day 26 for me. What strange and worrying times for us all.

GaaaaarlicBread · 18/03/2020 19:52

Currently still working for the NHS, going in to work and not been told any different by management yet so we’ll see. Stay safe everyone

I'm good, I'm self isolating in so far as I am basically going out to do grocery shopping and that's it. I am working remotely from home from today and will be for the foreseeable future.

MGee123 · 18/03/2020 05:37

@hopefulhel I'm sorry about your condition. It sounds like you've made a very sensible decision, although it must feel really hard.

I work in healthcare and this whole situation feels so surreal at the moment. We are continuing DTD every other day but there is a bit of me which wonders if we should stop TTC for a month or 2. I'm not sure what to do for the best! I really don't want to stop trying and I haven't read anything which suggests you should at the moment 🤷‍♀️

How are you all keeping? Are you isolating at home/working from home?

CurbsideProphet · 17/03/2020 13:16

@hopefulhel oh gosh what a worrying time for you Flowers Flowers Keep looking after yourself.

hopefulhel · 17/03/2020 13:08

@CurbsideProphet sorry I should have been clearer in my earlier post I have an underlying medical condition and am immune suppressed so am very worried about the Corona virus as I am not sure I'll be able to get my treatment and if that happens I'll become very unwell. Will be definitely putting ttc on hold for now

CurbsideProphet · 17/03/2020 07:39

@hopefulhel I know what you mean. Worrying times.

@dragonfly1978 🤞🏻for you.

@GaaarlicBread that's lovely news, hope you're ok.

GaaaaarlicBread · 16/03/2020 18:50

@dragonfly1978 Then congrats ! I’ve just found out we’re having a baby girl, so fingers crossed for you

@GaaaaarlicBread that's what mine looks like in real life but I just couldn't get it to appear in a photo like it!

GaaaaarlicBread · 16/03/2020 18:30

@dragonfly1978 I can see a line but it’s very very faint for 11dpo . I’d do a first response . I did my clear blue at 11days and it looked like this xx

11dpo today and got this today. It's definitely blue in colour and my husband says he can see a definite line. We had an even fainter one yesterday. Can anyone else see this?? It looks much clearer in real life!!!

In one way I am kinda glad I didn't get a bfp last month. I think if I did my anxiety levels would be through the roof with worry about the Corona virus. It's frightening.

CurbsideProphet · 16/03/2020 14:12

@MGee123 I feel the same. Very hard to get past the worry that it will never happen. Doesn't help with feeling that the normal state of things is crumbling down around Coronavirus.

MGee123 · 14/03/2020 22:20

We all need space to have a good moan @Maddy0405. Sorry to hear you still haven't heard back from your GP - how frustrating. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. A house move alone is stressful enough!

I had a bad couple of days in the week with AF starting. I really struggle to talk to anyone when I'm on my period - I feel really down and think it is my way of coping with the disappointment.

I had my first reflexology session on Wed though and loved it. I found it very relaxing and have another booked for this Wed.

AF has finished now so we're back to DTD every other day. I'm trying to feel optimistic for this month but this routine is starting to wear me down a bit. I am finding it hard to believe it will ever happen, even though I know that is a ridiculous way to think!!

Maddy0405 · 14/03/2020 10:40

@CurbsideProphet it makes perfect sense! And that’s what I love about this space. That we all just get it.

Going out with friends today so looking forward to that. It’ll cheer me up and I can let off some steam ready to tackle another week.

CurbsideProphet · 13/03/2020 22:47

@Maddy0405 yes this group keeps me going 🙂 I couldn't cope with being told bullshit like "relax, it will happen when you relax". It's much better to come on here and say how I really feel, as I know others feel the same and I'm normal. That makes it all bit less horrible and lonely. Hopefully that makes sense.

Maddy0405 · 13/03/2020 17:49

Thank you @CurbsideProphet 😘😘 I feel thankful for this group xxx

CurbsideProphet · 13/03/2020 14:28

@Maddy0405 Flowers You've got so much going on I'm not surprised you feel down. All very normal IMHO. I feel a bit blue myself today. Can't be optimistic and full of sunshine all the time!

Maddy0405 · 13/03/2020 10:10

I’m feeling absolutely miserable lately. In a real slump.

Work has been a nightmare with all this coronavirus business. We are moving house in three weeks and I literally have no time to do anything as we have two weekends coming up where we will be visiting family so they’re written off in terms of packing for the move or getting any of the usual stuff you want to do (housework etc).

I’ve also just finished a university module for my masters so it’s been a pretty stressful time!

To top off that lot my husband and I haven’t been getting on particularly well. Keep bickering etc. Not exactly putting me in the mood for baby making.

And someone at work is now pregnant who has been trying about the same amount of time as I have so I think that was probably the cherry on the top.

Sorry for a long and moany post! @notalwaysalondoner have a fab holiday! Sorry about all the AFs which have arrived and good luck for those on 2ww.

Also, to finish off with a bit more moaning, my GP surgery still haven’t got my results of my scan I had three weeks ago to confirm PCOS or not so that’s irritating!!!

camha · 12/03/2020 11:58

@notalwaysalondoner that sounds really nice, have a lovely time!

@CurbsideProphet fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

CurbsideProphet · 12/03/2020 11:12

Hope you have a great time @notalwaysalondoner - wish I had friends in Canada 😀

I'm plodding through the 2 week wait. This must be day 20.

notalwaysalondoner · 11/03/2020 12:28

I’m sorry @camha and @MGee123. So disappointing when it arrives....

I’m going to the west coast - my SIL lives in Vancouver and my husband also has cousins on Vancouver island. We’re going to spend two days in Vancouver, two days in Victoria then seven days skiing in whistler - we have friends who live near there so don’t need to pay for accommodation which is nice. Skiing in Canada is much more expensive than in Europe even without the flights, so don’t think we would have gone if we’d needed to stay in a hotel. Leaving this afternoon!
