Feel like everywhere I look people are getting BFPs which is great but I’m starting to worry a bit. We’ve been trying since June and have had nothing yet. OH had sperm tests last year as part of something else and all came back fine. I’m 28 and he’s 41 so age hopefully shouldn’t be a problem.
Please could people share some positive 6 month+ ttc stories to cheer me up and stop me stressing as I know that won’t help all this either.
Also if anyone else is in the same situation and wants to chat that would be lovely.

@Trying2019 that’s exactly how I feel. I know I shouldn’t get worried until we’ve been trying a year but it just seems like it’s really easy for so many people. I’m due AF in a few days as well which is maybe why I’m feeling emotional about it all. Hopefully it will happen for us both soon!

@Banoffeepie91 i know exactly how you feel. Just found out someone i know is pregnant first month of trying with their second. They were the same with their first. We are on cycle 7 with our first and no hint of a positive. I know 7 months isnt that long. Its so gutting when it seems to easy for other people. This is the first person who has announced since we started and i actually cried. Feel a bit stupid but couldnt help it. Af is due in a few days which makes it worse. Didnt think it would be so hard. Xx

Thanks everyone. Yes, been tracking ovulation with BBT and OPKs so at least I know the right times but we’ve just been trying to go for the every other day approach rather than really scheduled as it started to feel a bit forced when we tried that at the start.

Mine was over 6 months. Are you having sex throughout the month, not just when the apps say you are fertile? I think my problem was that I ovulate much later than standard.

I conceived DS without trying and assumed it would be similar this time, however it took 9 months this time! Hope you fall pregnant soon, TTC is so soul destroying!

I am 34 weeks pregnant, aged 29 Smile
It wasn't easy. It took 13 months of TTC. We had tests done, turned out I had very low iron. Got iron supplements and the following month.. bam! Positive.

I think I had assumed it would be easy to C, given I was trying at 28, DH also 28 and we look fit & healthy etc. Stay positive, it's a waiting game. Are you tracking ovulation?

Aw don't worry it takes lots of couples a while to conceive. I would ask your GP for tests as well to make sure all is working as it should.

If you're not already using an ovulation tracker then definitely try that - the fertile window is small and can vary a lot between different women's cycles. Clearblue sticks are the best imo.

And if all else fails you have age on your side and should be eligible for IVF on the nhs if you and DP don't have other kids.

Took us 18 months to conceive DC2 and went for IVF in the end but now 24 weeks pg.
